Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Pugsley has a radio to talk to people around the world. How does he power it?

Answer: Uncle Fester connected to it with a wire

Uncle Fester has a lightbulb in his mouth with a wire connecting himself to Pugsley's contraption. The first person Pugsley speaks to is from Japan, but "Happy Joe" claims there's an earthquake and that he has to get off the line when Morticia asks about his country. Next is a plane in trouble in the Bay of Bengal. Gomez suggests responding with the suggestion to dump the passengers, but Morticia takes the microphone and tells the captain to have each passenger attend to their own luggage to avoid a panic.
2. A man named Mr. Hollister stops the postman, Mr. Briggs, and explains the problem going on in the Addams house. It seems there have been coded radio transmissions coming out of the house and he's enlisted Mr. Briggs to help figure out what is going on. What is NOT an example Mr. Hollister gave for one of the coded radio transmissions?

Answer: shrunken heads

Mr. Briggs is excited to be 'an undercover man' and go into the house - after all, he'd seen all the James Bond movies. We don't know who he works for, specifically, all we know is Mr. Hollister works for United States Intelligence. Mr. Hollister asks Mr. Briggs to provide some of the Addamses' correspondence.
3. What reason did Mr. Briggs give when asking to go through the Addamses' mail?

Answer: Look at their stamps

Morticia and Gomez were a little confused when they opened the door - they thought the postman always rang twice, but he hadn't even rung the bell once. (Thing had told Gomez and Morticia that Mr. Briggs was at the door before he had the chance to ring the bell.)

Mr. Briggs had asked to see some of the stamps they received because he had a grandson who collected stamps. Gomez said Mr. Briggs could even read the letters. Morticia said there was a lovely letter from General Peron, who was still looking for work. (This was between his presidential terms.)
4. What happened when Mr. Briggs opened the first letter?

Answer: It set itself on fire

Gomez did warn him, after all... It was from Gomez's favorite the witch doctor, who was a tricky devil. When Mr. Briggs opened the letter to read it, it sparked and started a fire. Lurch quickly came by and swept away the ashes.
5. Mr. Briggs quickly discovered he didn't want to be an undercover man. What was NOT one of the reasons that made him run from the house?

Answer: Bear rug roaring

He also found a turtle that barked like a dog in another desk drawer. And those desk drawers would not stay closed - when you closed one, another would open.
Kitty was the final straw and Mr. Briggs ran out of the house (after Lurch put his hat onto his head). Mr. Briggs then met Mr. Hollister at his car and quit.

Mr. Briggs suggests using Mr. Conkey, the plumber, instead.
6. Mr. Conkey, the plumber, agrees to work with the US government and go to the Addams house. For how long had he been avoiding the family?

Answer: 6 months

Mr. Briggs told Mr. Hollister that Mr. Conkey had been refusing to go to the Addams house for 6 months, so he would be a good idea to try to get into the house. Apparently Kitty's drinking fountain had been broken and he'd promised to do it 6 months ago.
7. After being caught upstairs by Uncle Fester, Mr. Conkey hid in the conservatory. How did Morticia find him?

Answer: Cleopatra was behaving strangely

Mr. Conkey heard Gomez and Morticia coming, so he crouched down behind Cleopatra. When Morticia was trying to feed the plant, Cleopatra kept moving and wouldn't eat, so Morticia thought Cleopatra was trying to tell her something and found Mr. Conkey hiding.
8. Gomez and Morticia checked out Mr. Conkey's union card and decide he really was a plumber, so they let him continue roaming the house while they went down to the playroom to contact Gomez's associate, Mr. Winthrope. What urgent message did Gomez need to tell Mr. Winthrope?

Answer: Not to mix the plutonium and the uranium shipments

But when Gomez was trying to get through, he could hear the transmissions between Mr. Hollister and Mr. Conkey about trying to find the communications center. Mr. Conkey said he found a door and he was about to go in... just as Gomez, Morticia, and Uncle Fester watched Mr. Conkey come through the secret door to the playroom.
9. Mr. Conkey runs out of the house and now Gomez and Morticia are very suspicious. What do they decide to do?

Answer: Call Washington

They called Washington and got transferred around until finally Morticia was put in contact with someone in the field... Mr. Hollister.

Mr. Hollister was excited because he thought Gomez and Morticia were ready to confess!
10. What happens when Mr. Hollister confesses that he sent Mr. Briggs and Mr. Conkey into the house?

Answer: Lurch captures him

Lurch gave Mr. Hollister back his pistol at the front door when Mr. Hollister showed Lurch his badge.

When Gomez and Morticia told Mr. Hollister about the strange behavior exhibited by Mr. Briggs and Mr. Conkey, Mr. Hollister says he was the one who sent them. Gomez then said that Mr. Hollister was the ring leader, and that is when Lurch came up behind Mr. Hollister, capturing him.

We next see Mr. Hollister in the playroom, in the stockade, while Pugsley chats with his friends on the radio and Mr. Hollister figures out it's just a child talking with other children around the world. Gomez and Morticia come in and release Mr. Hollister after they verified he really is a US government agent.
