The horses actually won. Five straight horses. In the office, Mr. Hulen's assistant figured that if Mr. Hulen had done as he was told, the Addamses would have been up $480,000. If their next horse won, Mr. Hulen's firm would have owed $2,850,000. And so on...

Morticia thought shooting him in the back would be too drastic, but Gomez thought for the betrayal of trust and violation of ethics, shooting him in the back would be too good for him.

Mr. Hulen was hoping the family would have lost all their money and he wouldn't have to tell them he never placed the bets. But instead, Granny's Lover won and the family is excited. But wait! Granny's Lover was disqualified for shoving, crowding, and kicking. Morticia wondered what kind of behavior they expected from a horse.

Mr. Hulen's secret is safe.
