"Uncle Fester's Illness" Trivia Quiz

Gomez called the electrician, but the electrician hung up on him. (He wouldn't tell Uncle Fester exactly what the electrician said in front of Pugsley.) Gomez said they'd have to tell Morticia... Not because she could help, but because she was going to bake a cake that afternoon and was planning on using Uncle Fester to run the electric mixer.

The family planned to use Uncle Fester to light their way in the caves - Gomez said flashlights just wouldn't be the same, and besides, when Uncle Fester switced to neon it was spectacular.

Wednesday was going to catch some new spiders (she loved her pets) and Morticia wanted some new hemlock saplings.

To clarify, it wasn't at Niagara Falls, it was *in* Niagara Falls. Morticia said it was a divine cave. Gomez said there were free showers anytime they wanted - day or night.

Uncle Fester interrupted the couple reminiscing about their honeymoon. Apparently the rest of the family has been mad with Uncle Fester about possibly cancelling the trip.

Answer: Moonshine

Morticia doesn't mean alcohol, like Uncle Fester initially thinks, she means moon bathing. The moon has restorative powers for the Addamses. It's a full moon though, so Uncle Fester needs to be careful not to get too much moon.

The three of them go outside that evening and bathe in the moon's rays. It didn't seem to work - and Uncle Fester got a severe moon burn on his head.

The next morning, Uncle Fester comes in and although Morticia says he looks better, he says he still feels rotten. Uncle Fester thinks Thing doesn't look so hot either.

Thing and Wednesday are playing jacks and Thing couldn't get past threesies four times in a row. Wednesday agrees with Uncle Fester that Thing isn't acting right either.

Morticia and Gomez then check on Zelda, the vulture, who wasn't eating her lunch. It was her favorite too: dry bones.

There was only one thing to do. Gomez had to call the family witch doctor.

Dr. Mbogo, the family witch doctor was busy and no longer making house calls, so Morticia suggests calling a regular doctor. Thing finds one out of the phonebook for her and she calls a Dr. Milford, who happens to live down the street. When Dr. Milford arrives, Wednesday asks where his mask and spear are. Apparently she's used to the family witch doctor coming to the house.

Morticia says if Dr. Milford doesn't work, she'll send out west for a medicine man.

When Dr. Milford arrives, Gomez makes a remark that he doesn't think he'll be able to settle his fee with a few painted beads. Morticia doesn't think Dr. Milford inspires confidence. And Uncle Fester wonders what's in Dr. Milford's black bag. (Morticia said because the bag was black, it must have something to help Uncle Fester.)

Uncle Fester says it's supposed to be green.

Uncle Fester refuses to take his coat off (he's too modest) so Dr. Milford tries to take his blood pressure over the coat, but Uncle Fester breaks the cuff.

Answer: His watch had stopped

Gomez said either his watch had stopped or Uncle Fester had been dead for 20 minutes. (Morticia said Gomez exaggerates, but Dr. Milford wasn't sure about that.)

Just then Dr. Milford notices that Uncle Fester's temperature was -3 degrees: a new Addams record! Uncle Fester ate the next thermometer. But he started to look like himself again... Dr. Milford stumbled on the cure - Uncle Fester just needed some mercury!

Dr. Milford runs out of the house when Morticia introduces him to Thing.

Answer: Lighting up an entire string of lights

Uncle Fester is connected to a whole string of lights. Morticia says that from now on, the family won't get a Christmas tree and the family will just hang everything on him.
