'South Park' - Season 3 Trivia Questions

1. In "Rainforest Shmainforest", the boys visit which country?

From Quiz
Mixed "South Park" - Season 3

Answer: Costa Rica

In "South Park's" third season premiere, the boys end up forced to participate in Mr. Mackey's extracurricular childrens choir group, 'Getting Gay With Kids' and are sent to San Jose, Costa Rica to sing to locals about rainforest preservation under the tutelage of Miss Stevens. A trip into the rainforest proper ends with a tour guide getting eaten, so the kids end up lost for days, only returning after a series of mishaps and after Cartman locates a group of loggers. In the end, it's apparent that everyone's hatred towards the rainforest has reached a boiling point.

2. What was NOT one of the things Cartman said he thought about when going "number two?"

From Quiz "South Park" - "Jakovasaurs"

Answer: bran muffins

Thinking about soft-serve ice cream seemed to do the trick, and Cartman was happily taking care of himself when he first saw the jakovasaur. He called his friends over to see, but they thought he just wanted to show them his feces!

3. When the kids found the box of women's clothes in the basement, what did Butters suggest they play?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Two Guys Naked in a Hot Tub"

Answer: Charlie's Angels

Just as he had feared, Stan was relegated to the basement with the other kids as soon as he and his parents arrived at the party. He was horrified by his forced company and refused to play Pip's British game. Then they discovered the women's clothing, and Butters suggested playing Charlie's Angels, laying claim to Jaclyn Smith on the basis that he'd thought the game up. Stan still refused to participate, saying, "I'm not putting on ladies' clothes, and I'm not playing Charlie's Angels! You guys are Melvins, and I'm not one of you! So you go ahead and be Melvins, and leave me alone!" However, Stan did reluctantly agree to play Bosley when he realized he could give the boys the mission of finding a way out of the room.

4. Announcing the KOZY-FM Halloween Haunt, the DJ asks the boys what they think of the developing bask. What does Stan use as a point of reference in his response?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Korn's Groovy ..."

Answer: two guys kissing in a park

The DJ was doing his best to sell the event to his listeners and asked the boys what they thought of the Halloween Haunt "so far." Stan thought for a moment before answering, "This one time, like eight months ago, I saw two guys kissing in a park. And that was the gayest thing I'd ever seen, until I saw the KOZY-FM Halloween Haunt." The DJ glossed right over the disenchanted response and continued his program!

5. Which boy signed up to be in Home Ec class?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Tweek vs. Craig"

Answer: Kenny

In Home Ec, the girls were being taught "how to bake, sew, clean, and make things that are lacy and pretty." As the teacher explained, "Some of you girls will go on to have interesting jobs and careers. But all of you pretty ones... won't have to worry about that, because you can marry a nice man. And that's why we have... Home Ec." Kenny seemed thrilled just to be surrounded by ladies!

6. What was the monkey's role in the "Hooked on Monkey Fonics" system?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Hooked on Monkey Fonics"

Answer: keeping the beat

7. What instrument was Cartman supposed to play for the reenactment?

From Quiz "South Park" - "The Red Badge of Gayness"

Answer: drums

The boys were practicing at the bus stop, and Cartman couldn't keep himself from vigorously pounding at the drums. He seemed to think he was playing for a rock band, rather than keeping the beat for a reenactment. Stan tried to make Cartman play the flute instead, even pulling rank as the "leader of the Reenactment Fife and Drum Squad," but Cartman refused, instead demolishing the drum and going home.

8. Who was to be the "special guest conductor" at the concert?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Worldwide Recorder Concert"

Answer: Yoko Ono

9. What did Petey the Sexual Harassment Panda say in regards to examples of sexual harassment?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Sexual Harassment Panda"

Answer: "That makes me a sad panda."

After singing his introductory song, Sexual Harassment Panda pulled out a picture of one panda tugging at another panda's underwear. He explained, "Did you know that when one little panda pulls on another little panda's underwear, that's sexual harassment? That makes me a sad panda." Kyle turned to Stan, saying, "This is freaking me out, dude." Sexual Harassment Panda continued with the next picture: "And when one little panda puts his furry little [appendage] in another panda's ear, that makes me a very sad panda." Having concluded the picture portion of the lesson, Sexual Harassment Panda moved on to reading through all the sexual harassment laws.

10. Mrs. Broflovski told Kenny that Jew Scouts borrowed from different Jewish denominations. What denomination did she NOT mention?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Jewbilee"

Answer: Black Bear Jews

Kyle wanted Kenny to accompany him to Jewbilee so that he'd have more fun, but his parents resisted, explaining, "you have to believe the basic tenets of Judaism to be a Scout." From Quiz Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery

12. Who wins the Nobel Prize for uncovering the truth behind spontaneous human combustion?

From Quiz Mixed "South Park" - Season 3

Answer: Randy

When Kenny and other South Park residents start combusting with no warning, the Mayor asks the town's only scientist, Randy Marsh (actually a geologist) to uncover the truth behind it and, after extensive research, he discovers that the cause is a general refusal to avoid flatulence for courtesy's sake. The town opts to avoid holding it in, for the sake of safety, but the resulting methane output causes accelerated global warming. In the end, everyone learns a lesson about moderation. Oh yeah, and the boys try to get Kyle's dad a 'resurrection'; it's all a huge misunderstanding.

13. What did the South Park residents determine to name the jakovasaur whose actual name was Junjun?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Jakovasaurs"

Because the scientists told them Junjun could "mother an entire population" of jakovasaurs, they decided "Hope" would be a suitable name. They were completely oblivious when Junjun announced her own name, and Stan even translated it!

14. What "first" did Gerald Broflovski indulge in when he and Randy Marsh got into the hot tub?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Two Guys Naked in a Hot Tub"

Answer: smoked a cigar

Gerald and Randy thought that the meteor shower afforded them the freedom to experiment in ways they hadn't been able to in a long time because of their families. The first thing Gerald did was to light up a cigar. Then they started talking about other things they'd never tried but always wanted to: Randy: "Hey, did you see Principal Victoria in there? She looks hot." Gerald: "She sure does. I wouldn't mind takin' that home." Randy: "O-hoh, yeah, I'm sure your wife would love that." Gerald: ""I wish. That's the one thing I've always thought of experimenting with: a threesome." Randy: "With two girls or two guys?" Gerald: "Huh, well, two girls, of course! I mean... with another guy, you know, that'd be..." Randy: "You, you never had a homosexual fantasy? Not that I have." Gerald: "You haven't?" Randy: "No, I mean... Well, they say everybody has at some point, don't they?" Gerald: "Well, I never really wanted to experiment with anything too crazy. You know... maybe just... I don't know... [touch myself] in front of another guy." Randy: "Yeah, well, that, that's not really... gay, is it?" Gerald: "No, no uh, I don't think so." Randy: "...Well it is a night for experimenting." Gerald: "Sure is." Randy: "Okay, I'll start."

15. What did the Spooky Laboratory use to give the sensation of touching "the warm innards of the body"?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Korn's Groovy ..."

Answer: a horse

Cartman went into the Spooky Laboratory alone because the other boys thought it was a waste since "they just stick your hand in cold spaghetti and tell you it's intestines and stuff." Cartman happily donned a blindfold, though, and the guide started putting his hands in various things. First, Cartman felt eggs and was told they were "human eyeballs." Next was a bowl of Jell-O cubes passing as brains. Finally, the guide led Cartman up a few steps and put his hand inside a horse's rear end, telling him he could "feel the warm innards of the body." Cartman was surprised and shouted out to his friends, "it feels like cold spaghetti!"

16. What show had Craig skipped the fight to go home and watch?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Tweek vs. Craig"

Answer: Red Racer

Cartman was trying to provoke Craig into fighting Tweek, first by saying Tweek had said something about his mother, then by claiming Tweek had said something about his guinea pig. From Quiz "South Park" - "Hooked on Monkey Fonics"

20. Pushed by the judge to defend himself in court, what did Stan say?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Sexual Harassment Panda"

Answer: "Uh, I'm eight?"

Cartman had hired Gerald Broflovski as his lawyer and presented a compelling case: "[Stan Marsh] talked about [doing things to my butt]. [...] I was su- so upset. I couldn't concentrate the rest of the day. And the way his eyes kept looking at me, slowly going up and down my body, like he was undressing me with his eyes." The judge turned to Stan and told him, "I need to hear your defense." Stan looked incredulous and offered, "Uh, I'm eight?" Judge Julie then found Stan guilty of sexual harassment and ordered Stan to hand over 50% of his belongings to Cartman.

21. What did the Squirt leader say he was trying to earn?

From Quiz Mixed "South Park" - Season 3

Answer: The Loch Ness Monster

To get rid of the beast, they end up at the church during the wedding to sing "The Morning After" (by Maureen McGovern for the film "The Poseidon Adventure"), backwards. At the same time, Chef's parents come into town for the wedding, repeatedly mentioning the fact that the Loch Ness Monster keeps asking them to hand over $3.50 for whatever reason.

24. Mr. Garrison offered to let Junjun stay at his house to keep her safe, but the Mayor refused on the grounds that he hadn't cared well for what animal with which he'd been previously entrusted?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Jakovasaurs"

Answer: pigeon

In fact, Mayor McDaniels reminded Mr. Garrison that he'd tried to "have sex with" the pigeon. Mr. Garrison insisted the "pigeon was a total slut," but none of the other South Park residents would back him up on his claim, and Junjun was ultimately sent to Farmer Denkins' heated barn.

27. When Mark joined the other kids at South Park Elementary, he arrived with what for his own protection?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Hooked on Monkey Fonics"

28. What did Cartman steal that interrupted the reenactment?

From Quiz "South Park" - "The Red Badge of Gayness"

Answer: bell

While all the men were gamely reenacting the battle, Cartman snuck up the hill and stole the "bell of Appmottox". It had already been announced that the Union Army was supposed to take the bell, so when Cartman stole it for the Confederacy, the reenactment had to be halted and restarted. However, before he could continue chastising Ike, the group was distracted by a bear rooting through the trash outside.
