Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who was to be the "special guest conductor" at the concert?

Answer: Yoko Ono

A promo announced the concert, calling it "the musical event of the new millennium!" It would include "over 4 million third-grade students from all over the country" playing "My Country 'Tis of Thee" on recorders. Yoko Ono would be the conductor and Kenny G was to lead the concert.
2. When the class started practicing, Mr. Garrison was upset about their skill level. What did he accuse them of not having worked on?

Answer: their fingering

Cartman assured Mr. Garrison that it wasn't true, that in fact Kyle had been "working on his fingering with his mom all night long." Kyle was angry, but Mr. Garrison didn't care about their juvenile antics; he just didn't want to be embarrassed at the concert!
3. Did Mr. Garrison's dad sexually abuse him as a youth?

Answer: no

Mr. Garrison was haunted by the fact that his father hadn't sexually abused him! He felt sure it was an indication that he "wasn't good enough" for his father. When Mr. Garrison showed up on his father's doorstep to confront him about their history, Mr. Garrison Sr. was shocked!
4. To get back at the New York kids, the boys made up a word. What word did they come up with?

Answer: mung

What the boys didn't realize was that "mung" actually was a real word and the New Yorkers were familiar with it. The New York kids told them "mung is the stuff that comes out when you push down on a pregnant woman's stomach." Despite the fact that the New Yorkers had the wrong definition ("mung" is actually a kind of bean) they succeeded in furthering the humiliation of the South Park boys.
5. Was Mr. Garrison's mother upset when she found out the truth about whether or not her husband had sexually abused their son?

Answer: yes

She seemed to approach the subject from the same perspective as Mr. Garrison, and was quite upset by the truth:
Mr. Garrison: "Mother, did you know that... Dad... never sexually molested me?"
Mrs. Garrison Sr.: ""That... that can't be."
Mr. Garrison: "He never did, Mom, not once."
Mrs. Garrison Sr.: "That's not true! Your father loved you! Often!"
Mr. Garrison: "He never did, Mom! And I think you knew he never did!"
Mrs. Garrison Sr.: "Nohoho! No! If I knew I would have made him do it!"
Mr. Garrison: "You stood by and let it happen! You saw him come home drunk and then just go right to sleep!"
The situation only worsened when Mr. Garrison Sr. came home, and Mrs. Garrison Sr. ended up running out of the room crying!
6. Where did Mr. Garrison Sr. work?

Answer: gas station

Mr. Mackey went to Mr. Garrison Sr.'s gas station to talk to him about his son. Ultimately, Mr. Mackey suggested Mr. Garrison Sr. molest his son to ease the man's mind and protect his mental state. After Mr. Mackey left, Mr. Garrison Sr. seemed confounded, asking, "Am I the only sane person left on earth!?"
7. To whose sheet music did the boys add the so-called "brown note?"

Answer: the New York kids

They added it to the end of the New Yorkers' music, expecting them to play it and soil their pants in front of everyone. However, the concert coordinator saw the revision taped to the hotel room door and assumed Yoko Ono had made it, immediately mobilizing to distribute the "updated" version to all the kids and the projected music!
8. Who molested Mr. Garrison?

Answer: Kenny G

Mr. Garrison Sr. paid Kenny G $100 to sneak into his son's bedroom and molest him. The next morning, Mr. Garrison's mood had brightened enormously and he left his parents' house with no emotional baggage. When Mr. Garrison Sr. tried to pay Kenny G, though, the musician refused payment, seemingly because he'd been happy to provide the service!
9. Was the brown note played at the concert?

Answer: yes

It was played, and was quite effective, causing everyone in the world to soil their pants. Twenty hours later, a news reporter was still covering the story, showing cleanup efforts from what looks like a devastating war!
10. What story did Mr. Garrison reference when giving Ms. Crabtree directions back to South Park?

Answer: Peter Pan

When Ms. Crabtree asked which route they should take, Mr. Garrison pointed ahead and decreed, "Second star to the right, and straight on 'til morning." Perhaps, despite having resolved things with his dad, Mr. Garrison still wasn't prepared to leave his childhood behind!
