Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In "Rainforest Shmainforest", the boys visit which country?

Answer: Costa Rica

In "South Park's" third season premiere, the boys end up forced to participate in Mr. Mackey's extracurricular childrens choir group, 'Getting Gay With Kids' and are sent to San Jose, Costa Rica to sing to locals about rainforest preservation under the tutelage of Miss Stevens.

A trip into the rainforest proper ends with a tour guide getting eaten, so the kids end up lost for days, only returning after a series of mishaps and after Cartman locates a group of loggers. In the end, it's apparent that everyone's hatred towards the rainforest has reached a boiling point.
2. Who wins the Nobel Prize for uncovering the truth behind spontaneous human combustion?

Answer: Randy

When Kenny and other South Park residents start combusting with no warning, the Mayor asks the town's only scientist, Randy Marsh (actually a geologist) to uncover the truth behind it and, after extensive research, he discovers that the cause is a general refusal to avoid flatulence for courtesy's sake.

The town opts to avoid holding it in, for the sake of safety, but the resulting methane output causes accelerated global warming. In the end, everyone learns a lesson about moderation. Oh yeah, and the boys try to get Kyle's dad a 'resurrection'; it's all a huge misunderstanding.
3. When Chef's family comes into South Park for his wedding, they repeatedly mention the time they saw which mythical creature?

Answer: The Loch Ness Monster

In "The Succubus", Chef ends up getting into a quick, serious relationship with a woman named Veronica who, as it turns out, is an actual succubus from Hell, but this isn't discovered until the boys speak to Mr. Garrison about the topic and they draw their conclusions. To get rid of the beast, they end up at the church during the wedding to sing "The Morning After" (by Maureen McGovern for the film "The Poseidon Adventure"), backwards.

At the same time, Chef's parents come into town for the wedding, repeatedly mentioning the fact that the Loch Ness Monster keeps asking them to hand over $3.50 for whatever reason.
4. An appearance by Sexual Harassment Panda leads which South Park child to commence a string of court cases?

Answer: Cartman

After Sexual Harassment Panda comes to South Park Elementary to teach the kids about what constitutes sexual harassment, Cartman takes the opportunity to accuse numerous people of wrongful harassment, all of which leads back tot he school losing money in court cases orchestrated by Kyle's dad. Ultimately, the boys need to hunt down the panda, later found on the Island of Misfit Mascots, help him become 'Petey the Don't-Sue-People Panda', and teach everyone a valuable lesson about not taking each other to court over unfounded nonsense.
5. Cartman is looked after by Shelley Marsh, Stan is taken to a party, and Kyle and Kenny attend Jewbilee on the night of what event?

Answer: Meteor shower

In three different episodes ("Cat Orgy", "Two Guys Naked in a Hot Tub", and "Jewbilee"), the boys have vastly different, occasionally-overlapping experiences during the night of a major meteor shower. While Cartman is babysat by Stan's sister, Stan gets stuck at a party in town with nerdy kids (and gets caught up in a major terrorist snafu) and Kyle brings Kenny along to a Jewish-centric camp for the night...though even that has a fair bit of terror involved.
6. What rock band comes to South Park for Halloween, inadvertently getting themselves caught up in a groovy mystery involving pirate ghosts?

Answer: Korn

In "Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery", hard rock band Korn heads to South Park as a radio call-in show hosts a Halloween event, somehow stirring up some ghoulish pirates even though Colorado doesn't border the sea. The boys and the band members need to band together to uncover the truth. Of course, at the same time, the boys want to scare the local fifth graders and, to do so, they dig up Kyle's dead grandmother.
7. Chinpokomon is a fad that hits South Park. Where did it originate?

Answer: Japan

All four of the boys quickly become engrossed in this new Japanese fad which, like 'Pokemon', requires them to collect them all to defeat the evil power, later revealed to be the capitalist American government. Soon, the parents of South Park need to prevent their brainwashed children from bombing Pearl Harbor and, to do so, they have to become that which they fear the most. Of course, it doesn't take much...they just have to pretend to like Chinpokomon as much as their kids.
8. Who receives 'Monkey Fonics' and still loses the South Park Spelling Bee?

Answer: Cartman

While Cartman gets taught Monkey Fonics, he still ends up losing the spelling bee to two homeschooled children, Mark and Rebecca, the latter of whom Kyle starts to develop feelings for. Mark, meanwhile, joins the boys at school for the first time and their parents start to fear what their kids may become when exposed to the public school system. All comes to a head at the school dance when Rebecca takes on a new look and Mark stands up for her by fighting Kyle.

Their father ends up duct taped to a flagpole.
9. On New Year's Eve, Jesus hosts a concert to celebrate the second coming of God. Who's the headlining act?

Answer: Rod Stewart

In "Are You There God? It's Me, Jesus", everyone prepares for the second coming of God on the eve of the year 2000, but even Jesus Christ isn't sure what to expect, so he hosts a big Vegas concert featuring a horribly-aged Rod Stewart, much to everyone's disappointment. Meanwhile, children all around the country are afflicted by a bowel disease, leading Cartman (and others) to believe they're getting their period and hitting puberty.

This results in Kyle lying about the same, Kenny dying to prevent it, and Stan taking growth hormones. None of this turns out well.
10. The boys and their class are sent to Arkansas to perform 'My Country Tis of Thee' on what instrument?

Answer: Recorder

Mr. Garrison's class ends up heading to Arkansas for Child Blow 2000, a concert headed by musicians Yoko Ono and Kenny G, but Garrison himself is worried about the trip since his parents are from said state and he has unfinished business with his father who, as he claims, never sexually molested him.

Much of the episode is spent trying to remedy his familial issues, however odd they are. Cartman, meanwhile, tries to find the 'brown noise', the frequency at which humans lose control of their bodily functions.

He does so, but a prank results in the world being subject to hearing the fateful note during the main event.
