Jack is very upset that there isn't any rum left, and while searching, he runs into Bill Turner, Will's father, who is working for Davy Jones. Bill tells Jack he must repay his debt to Davy Jones.

Jack the monkey is still cursed from a scene after the credits for the first movie. He takes Jack's hat while in skeleton form and drops it into the water. Jack randomly takes people's hats during his time in Tortuga and tries them on. He doesn't like any of them so he gives them back.

After hearing the rumors, Jack actually opens the Dead Man's Chest and finds the beating heart of Davy Jones. The Voodoo Witch Doctor, who gave Jack the Jar of dirt and the information about Davy Jones' heart, tells them that to find Jack, they need to go to The Ends Of the Earth and Beyond. She says if they plan to go there, they will need a captain who knows that area. Barbossa walks into the room eating the apple he never did get to eat in the first movie and Jack the monkey jumps on his shoulder.

The movie ends there leaving you wondering how Barbossa is alive.
