Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Counselor Troi is aiming a projectile weapon at a tree in an outdoor environment, but when she fires it, the projectile misses its target completely and ends up lodged in Data's body instead.

Answer: Qpid

Q has whisked Picard and the rest of the senior staff off the Enterprise and into the Q Continuum version of Robin Hood's Sherwood Forest. While standing around trying to decide what actions they should take next, everyone is engaged in leisure activities to pass the time, dressed like the various Robin Hood characters that they're portraying.

In one of the more humorous moments, Counselor Troi, who is equipped with a bow and arrow, takes aim at a tree, but she wildly misses her target and the arrow instead impales Data in his chest.

The Enterprise's resident android, of course, is unaffected by the piercing shot; he calmly takes notice of the Counselor's miscue and removes the arrow without complication.
2. Dr. Crusher is on the bridge, tending to an unconscious crewmember whose vital signs are restored to normal only when an energy beam, which is emanating from a structure hovering in outer space, is reactivated.

Answer: The Inner Light

At the very beginning of this memorable episode, the alien probe floating around in space fires an energy beam directly through the Enterprise's main viewscreen, striking Picard and rendering him unconscious. Later on, while Picard is quickly living out his life on the alien planet in his mind, the crew comes up with a way to break their captain free of the probe's hold on him.

The plan fails, however, as Dr. Crusher's scans reveal that Picard's lifesigns will quickly degrade the longer his brain is disconnected from the probe. Data then has no choice but to restore the probe's energy beam. Fortunately, the probe eventually deactivates itself automatically, with the big reveal that the planet's civilization had simply wanted someone in the galaxy to remember the prosperous life they once lived 10,000 years ago.
3. The Enterprise fires a phaser deep into the surface of a planet, allowing an away team and a young woman to transport underground safely; the woman, however, soon breaks off from the group in an unsuccessful attempt to disable a security device.

Answer: Legacy

Determined to rescue the two Federation crewmembers who are being held hostage by The Alliance, Picard orders the firing of a phaser to penetrate the surface of the Turkana IV colony, which allows Riker, Worf, Data and their new-found companion Ishara Yar to transport into one of the underground corridors.

After the missing crewmembers are successfully rescued, Ishara takes advantage of the opportunity to split off from the group to traverse a separate corridor, locating a generator that would enable the troops of her Coalition to break through the defense barrier. Unfortunately for her, Data intervenes, and in the brief phaser fight that ensues, Ishara is stunned, putting an abrupt halt towards Tasha's sister completing her secret mission.
4. Wesley is tossing a ball around while down on an alien planet when he accidentally crashes through and shatters a glass structure, ending up in a flower garden.

Answer: Justice

While separated from the rest of the adult away team down on the Edo homeworld, Wesley is enjoying the company of a group of teenagers, tossing a ball around while racing through the outdoor plaza. In one instance, Wesley fails to make a catch, which inadvertently causes him to crash through a pane of glass, landing on top of a flower bed. According to Edo laws, such an innocent-looking offense is severely punished, and the remainder of the episode is spent trying to prevent Wesley from being handed a death sentence at the hands of the blond-haired humanoids.
5. A Betazoid man arrives onboard the Enterprise with a Starfleet admiral, but he's never seen communicating with Counselor Troi telepathically while he's assisting the admiral with questioning two members of the crew.

Answer: The Drumhead

The possible conspiracy erupting from the Enterprise's warp core being supposedly sabotaged and information being covertly sent to the Romulans garners the arrival of the admiral, her alien assistant and her Betazoid companion onboard the ship. A court trial is soon initiated, with the admiral serving as arbiter and the Betazoid man serving as her counsel. With the Klingon scientist already having been suspected of involvement at the very beginning of the episode, the attention of the trial begins to focus on Dr. Crusher's young medical assistant, who is revealed to be part-Romulan during the Betazoid's line of questioning. Later, the Betazoid further takes an opportunity to question Picard when the captain is put on trial himself following the squabble over judicial ethics between him and the admiral.

Although the Betazoid presumably used his powers to retrieve the information Dr. Crusher's medical assistant lied about, plus the details of Picard's previous violations of The Prime Directive, at no point does he ever communicate with Counselor Troi; in fact, he never interacts with the ship's counselor at any point during this entire episode.
6. Riker is a guest at a dinner meeting with several Starfleet officers, but he never takes one bite of the food that is served to him while almost all of the other attendees happily indulge.

Answer: Conspiracy

Picard arrives at Starfleet Headquarters down on Earth to meet with the alien parasite-manipulated admirals and captains, who have invited him to dinner inside of a large conference room. In front of the seated attendees is a covered dish--which turns out to be nothing but a rather sickening pile of reddish-orange worm-like creatures resembling something halfway between centipedes and Klingon gagh (yuck!)--and each one of them gorges on a hearty handful while discussions between them and Picard take place. Riker soon enters the room and joins the other admirals and captains, as he is believed to have been possessed by the alien parasite as well.

But just as Riker is about to chow down on a handful of the worm-like creatures himself, he whips out a phaser and blasts one of the admirals at the table. Clearly, the commander had been faking his 'alien possession' the entire time.
7. Geordi is seen stepping inside a holding cell in the Enterprise's brig, but there is already someone occupying the cell upon entry, and Geordi himself isn't being held there for any disciplinary or security reasons.

Answer: I, Borg

After 'Hugh' is rescued from the wreckage on the planet and brought back to the Enterprise, he is seen shortly afterwards in a brig holding cell behind a forcefield (understandably so, given the crew's previous near-death encounters with the Borg). Nevertheless, compassion is shown for the newly-severed-from-the-colective three-of-five.

The cell's forcefield is momentarily lowered to allow Geordi to enter inside and install a power supply in a wall panel, all under the watchful eye of Worf. Once Geordi is finished, he and Worf both step outside with the forcefield being reactivated, and 'Hugh' proceeds to connect his Borg attachments to the power supply in order to begin receiving the energy flow into his cybernetic body.
8. While Picard is communicating with an alien via the bridge's main viewscreen, a powerful force knocks the Enterprise away from a planet and several light-years into another sector of space, making it much more difficult to retrieve a group of civilians who were taken off the ship against their will.

Answer: When The Bough Breaks

After Wesley and the other children have all been abducted by the Aldeans from the Enterprise, Picard attempts diplomacy to negotiate their safe return. The Aldean leader, however, has no intentions of releasing the children while discussing the terms to Picard via the bridge's main viewscreen.

Then to demonstrate that he's serious, the aging alien suddenly summons a powerful beam of energy to knock the Enterprise hundreds of light-years back into another part of space, adding the threat that the beam will be used again to knock the Enterprise even further away if Picard doesn't comply.
9. Data is down on a planet, equipped with a special device that emits a blue light and enables him to illuminate a group of lifeforms who have become invisible to the naked eye.

Answer: Identity Crisis

Geordi has transported off the Enterprise and back down to Tarchannen III, having begun the transformation into the lifeforms that he and his friend, Commander Leitjen, had not detected on the original away mission there. As Gerodi is now virtually invisible and can only be seen with ultraviolet light, Data equips himself with a special scanning device that will make all of the Tarchannen lifeforms glow a bluish color, joining Commander Leitjen, Worf and Riker when they revisit the planet later to retrieve their chief engineer.

They eventually corner Geordi inside one of the caves, and only by the sincere persuasion of Commander Leitjen does Geordi stop running away and return back to the ship with his fellow comrades.
10. Guinan is taking a long look out of a viewport in Ten Forward before she accesses a computer panel at the bar to contact the bridge over the com; Riker responds and informs her that there is nothing out of the ordinary happening, after which Guinan admits to having had a strange feeling.

Answer: Q Who

After the omnipotent and meddling Q has momentarily taken Picard off the Enterprise, Guinan suddenly finds herself staring out of the viewport in an empty Ten Forward, presumably sensing that something isn't right. She then walks over to the bar to contact the bridge over the com, Riker answering instead of the not-yet-known-to-be-kidnapped captain.

The commander affirms that everything is alright when Guinan asks, the El Aurian admitting to having a strange feeling. That feeling would be warranted once the crew realizes that Picard isn't onboard, followed by the unexpected appearance of Q in Ten Forward and the Enterprise being whisked several thousand light-years away into Borg space.
