There was a computer malfunction, which made Ivanova tell the Narn captain not to do anything. The Narn captain panicked, firing his engines, which caused him to crash into the wall of the cargo bay, causing the explosion. Sinclair suggested that the computer error might have beeen caused by human error, since the dockworkers are overworked.

It turns out the computer malfunction was caused by substandard parts installed in the computer system.

The G'Quan Eth is a plant that grows on Narn. The Centauri found that the seeds of plant, when mixed with alcohol, act as a narcotic. As part of a religious ceremony for the followers of G'Quan, the plant is burned on the day of the ceremony when the sun rises above the G'Quan Mountains.

Sinclair, Ivanova, G'Kar and Ms. Connolly are all present at the meeting. G'Kar leaves, presumably to find another G'Quan Eth plant. Garibaldi enters the romm with official report on the accident.

Two of the dockworkers were trapped during the explosion, but only the brother of Eduardo Delvientos was killed.

Senator Hidoshi was first seen in the episode "Deathwalker." He is Sinclair's contact within the Senate Oversight Committee, which is responsible for managing the activites on Babylon 5.

Sinclair says: "Under the Rush Act, the Senate has empowered me to end this strike. I'm authorized to use any means necessary." Orin Zento and the Senate probably intended Sinclair to use this power to stop the strike using violence, putting the dockworkers in the brig.

In a very controversial move, Sinclair instead reallocates 1.3 million credits toward improvents in the docking bay and increases in the dockworkers wages and grants full amnesty to all those who participated in the strike.

Mary Ann Cramer ("Infection") was trying to get an interview from Sinclair on the dockworkers' strike. G'Kar and Londo were fighting about the G'Quan Eth plant and Londo's statue and threating to file official protests.

This was Londo's original offer, he later refused to sell it to G'Kar after G'Kar said the price was too high. Londo says: "Of course, it's an outrage. The question is, how important is your religious ceremony to you?" Sinclair forces Londo to sell the G'Quan Eth to G'Kar for the above price, in exchange for G'Kar returning the Centauri statue.

Senator Hidoshi says that they are bringing in Earth's best labor negotiator, after hearing rumors that there is an illegal strike on Babylon 5. Sinclair doesn't want him there, and ends up embarrassing him through his decisions under the Rush Act.

G'Kar asks: "You're not a follower of G'Quan, are you, Na'Toth?" Na'toth: "My father was a disciple of G'Lan. My mother didn't believe in much of anything." G'Kar: "And what do you believe in?" Na'Toth: "Myself, Ambassador."

This is taken directly from G'Kar's ceremony: "The gift of time. The gift of life. The gift of wisdom. The gift of light. For these things we are thankful. For these things we pray."

Londo has just asked G'Kar if he can be of any assistance and G'Kar of course says no. Na'Toth then informs G'Kar that there is only one other G'Quan Eth plant on the station, and the owner is Londo. Just before the doors of the transport tube close, Londo laughs long and hard at G'Kar.

Sinclair says this to Orin Zento when he objects to the manner in which Sinclair ended the strike. Sinclair did not make use of the powers given to him by the Rush Act in the manner that Zento and the Senate were expecting him to.
