The Centauri festival demonstrated in this episode is a rememberance of their dealings with the Xon. Vir: "It's a celebration of life. It comes from a time in our world history when two dominant species were fighting for supremecy. Our people, and a species we called Xon. At year's end we'd count how many of our people survived and we'd celebrated our good fortune."

N'grath can be seen in the episode "Soul Hunter." Lennier and Na'Toth arrive in order to take their places as aides to the ambassadors. Catherine Sakai arrives on the station after returning from a survey mission.

G'Kar can also be heard singing a modified version of this song in the episode "Convictions."

Londo is extremely drunk at the Centauri festival. He says: "Did I ever tell you [Delenn] that you are very cute for a Minbari? You[Garibaldi] are cute too, in an annoying sort of way. Everybody's cute! Everybody's cute! Even me. But in purple...I'm stunning!" [collapses] Vir says: "Ah! He has become one with his inner self!" Garibaldi replies: "He's passed out." Vir: "That too."

Sinclair contacts Sakai after she has arrived on the station, inviting her to dinner. At first she doesn't want to meet him, but she accepts. She says: "This is how we get into trouble every three years...All right, just dinner."

Sinclair decided to go visit Sakai since she is on the station and they haven't seen each other in a couple of years. He wasn't having a very good time at the party anyways.

The assassins of the Thenta Makur leave a black flower to warn their victim that they are going to be assassinated. Since the Thenta Makur usually succeed, this is a sure sign of death.

It is well known that G'Kar has a certain fascination of Earth women ("The Gathering" and "Born to the Purple"). When Garibaldi is searching G'Kar's quarters for evidence regarding the death of the bodyguard, he finds a pair of pink panties.

Answer: airlock accident

G'Kar was annoyed with Ko'Dath from the day she arrived on Babylon 5. He says that she met with an unfortunate airlock accident, but under the circumstances, G'Kar might have pushed her outside himself.

Answer: Du'Rog

Du'Rog claims vengeance on G'Kar for actions taken while he was a member of the Narn ruling council. Since Du'Rog is now dying, G'Kar cannot act revenge out on him.

Li is the goddess of passion, Ben-Zan is the god of food, and Mo-Goth is the god of the underworld and protector of front doors. Zoog was not mentioned until "Chrysalis" (and even then there are some Centauri who do not feel that he belongs in the pantheon).

G'Kar and Na'Toth put him on a flight away from Babylon 5. They also placed a large sum of money in his bank account, making it appear like he sold out the Thenta Makur. The Thenta Makur do not like traitors in their midst, and it is expected that they will hunt him down and kill him. G'Kar and Na'Toth send him off: "With luck, they may never find you, but if they do, you will know pain..." "...and you will know fear..." "...and then you will die. Have a pleasant flight."

Answer: pain givers

Tu'Pari placed the pain givers around G'Kar's neck. They have a proximity sensor and a remote control that both give him a nasty shock. Na'Toth kicks at G'Kar (pretending to torture him) in order to disable the device.

Londo eats his piece of fruit first, and then nods at Vir to do the same. Ivanova eats the piece of fruit in front of her (after it has been switched with G'Kar's), and Sinclair also eats his. Garibaldi flat-out refuses to eat his. G'Kar doesn't eat his either, even after switching with Ivanova, the assassination threat still weighs heavily on his mind.

This was probably arranged in this way since JMS is himself an atheist. The presentation was an excellent display of the diversity of Earth, and also shows a more hopeful projection of relations between the different religions.
