1.15 "Grail" Trivia Quiz

Answer: Delenn and Lennier

Delenn and Lennier want Sinclair to meet Gajic as he arrives on the station, since he is a true seeker, someone who should be admired in Minbari culture. Here's a bit of Sinclair and Garibaldi's conversation before they are interrupted. Sinclair: "They say food digests better if you chew it first." Garibaldi: "Don't talk. I've seen you eat. Does the term Doppler effect ring a bell?"

Answer: Deuce

Garibaldi has been trying to get Deuce convicted of some crime for a while, but all of the witnesses are scared to testify. Finally, he convinces Miriam Runningdear to testify, only to have her brain eaten by the feeder that Deuce is keeping.

Answer: Vree

Mr. Flinn claims that his great-grandfather was abducting by the Vree's great-grandfather, and has found records detailing the abduction. The Vree, with their oblong heads and large black eyes, look like the alien abductors so commonly displayed in Earth paraphanalia. To compound the matter, the Vree ships are flying saucers. Ombuds Wellington comments: "Why is it Ombuds Zimmerman never gets these cases? Only me."

Answer: Holy Grail

The name Gajic is the first name of Mira Furlan's (Delenn) husband. Here is Gajic's description of the Grail. Sinclair: "The *Holy* Grail...as in King Arthur? The Last Supper?" Gajic: "It has many names, but only one promise: the regeneration and salvation of humankind. My order has been searching for the Grail for millennia. Since there's nowhere on Earth left to search, I've taken the search outward to other worlds."

Answer: Thomas

Thomas got his nickname, Jinxo, because he has survived each of the Babylon stations. However, it has a negative connotation since he thinks that the stations blew up/disappeared because he left the station. He now believes that he has to remain on Babylon 5 or it will suffer the fate of the previous stations. Gajic convinces him that he is not a curse, and when Thomas leaves the station in search of the Holy Grail, the station does not suffer a disaster.

Answer: na'ka'leen feeder

Here are some good feeder quotes. Londo to Garibaldi: "Hideous creatures, hideous. We came across them in our colonizing days. We lost an entire colony before we threw up a quarantine. The only good na'ka'leen is a dead na'ka'leen...This is of course a purely theoretical question? A whim of yours that...that you might ask? Yes?" Londo to himself: "Fools to the left of me; feeders to the right. I need to find a real job."

Answer: Kosh

Sinclair goes to Kosh to tell him about the na'ka'leen feeder and the encounter suit that it was hiding in. Kosh asks why and Sinclair says: "Deuce wanted the people to think that he had the Vorlons working for him. Figured it would add to his image and intimidate people." Kosh: "Why?" Sinclair: "Well, after all, no one knows exactly what you look like. That makes some people...a little nervous." Kosh: "Good."

Answer: a striptease

Garibaldi says this to Sinclair after he finds out that Miriam Runningdear is not going to be able to testify. The thing that is as likely as a Vorlon striptease is finding someone else to testify against Deuce.

Answer: Londo and Garibaldi

Here is the full conversation between Vir, Londo and Garibaldi. Londo: "Are you sure it's dead?" Garibaldi: "I'm positive. It's dead as a rock. I saw it with my own eyes." Londo: "How do you know it's not just resting? Feeders are sneaky, you know." Garibaldi: "Londo, trust me." Londo: "...Hah. Well, there you are, Vir. I told you there is nothing to worry about.

He's young, sometimes he panics, you know how it is." Garibaldi: "The doc's dissecting it, wants to try to figure out how it can move so fast.

He's learning all kinds of things about it." [Londo goes inside] Vir: "Such as?" Garibaldi: "Well, when they are about to attack they get quiet, so the key is: as long as you can hear them. As long as there's noise around. You're safe. But if you ever hear nothing. Worry." Vir: "That's interesting. That's very interesting.

It's awfully quiet out here, isn't it Ambassador? Ambassador? Londo? Open the door Londo! Ambassador, it's not funny. Open the door Londo."

Answer: Ivanova

This is a classic scene. Garibaldi, Sinclair and Ivanova are in C&C, seeing Jinxo off and discussing the Babylon Curse. Garibaldi says "No Boom." And Ivanova goes off on the line above...halfway through Garibaldi and Sinclair leave her to her pessimism.
