Nick begged her not to go. He desperately pleaded with her not to go back there. He told her that she didn't know what happened, didn't know what he'd had to do. As she was just going out the door, he had a seizure. She stayed to help him and never made it back to Matt's house. Later he told his mom she tried to leave, but he stopped her. So, it was unclear if the seizure was real or faked. But, Alicia believed it was real, as she told Maddie later, "he went all grand mal on me".

In this episode, during scenes of heightened emotions, Frank Dillane's British accent came out.

Tobias had helped himself to food from the school pantry as well as getting back his knife. Maddie had declined his suggestion to take some food as well, as she was still in denial. When Tobias spoke those quoted words to her, she told him "they'll contain it", and he responded with "the same 'they' that was supposed to warn us?" That was what she'd told him when she found him a bit paranoid in episode one.

Calvin had died in the previous episode.

They made their way there and found him, and then people in bio-hazard suits, and police in riot gear, showed up. They were forced to flee the scene and ended up inside a barber shop.

Then, they heard Joanna screaming, so Alicia ran to the window and saw the attack by Mr. Dawson, who hadn't left after all. She wanted to help Joanna, but Maddie wouldn't allow her out of the house.
