Along with her were two dead doves released to symbolize the love between the couple and the father handing the bride to the groom. When Mac and Danny arrive they find redness in the bride's eyes and symptoms of chemical exposure. Mac also notes that flying birds indoors is bad luck.

They begin their search in the bridal suite. At the lab, Hawkes is interrupted in his work when the bride's father requests that his daughter is blessed by a rabbi before the autopsy begins. Hawkes agrees, but it delays the autopsy.

Stella, Aiden, and Flack head to the Staten Island Monastery to investigate a murder. According to rumours, the building is haunted, but this doesn't deter high school kids and gangs. Inside, the CSIs find a severed hand and a body nearby. When Stella finds dermal tissue in the victim's mouth it becomes apparent that the man bit his own hand off to escape a pair of handcuffs on the wall. Stella also finds a bus pass and money in the victim's pocket.

The men who found the body claimed not to see anything. At the lab, they bring the car in to dust for prints and search for evidence. Aiden finds a fingerprint on the steering wheel and they discover that the car was stolen.

Their corpse was an ex-con.

Although Danny tested every single one of the objects in the suite, none of the drinks came back positive. Also, the syringe found was used for Botox injections. After coming up with nothing, Danny and Ma decide to move onto the doves.
At the monastery, Aiden and Stella find a location where someone tried to dig a hole in the floor. Using a device, they find that something is located beneath it.

Hawkes says that exsanguination (loss of blood) was the cause of death, but the victim also suffered from starvation and hypothermia. During the autopsy he also notices a scar. After using an x-ray, he finds a shard of a shank in the stomach of the victim. Someone stabbed him, but no one at the jail removed the piece that broke off before sewing him back up. Hawkes also give Stella some black trace from the victim's head where a blunt object caused trauma.

After examining both the doves and the basket, Mac and Danny find that the doves died of respiratory failure caused by cleaning products. Therefore, someone wanted them dead before they left the basket. When Detective Maka and Danny talk to the dove handler, she confesses that she killed the doves because the hotel wasn't paying her any money or giving her credit for her work, but she denies killing the bride.
Meanwhile, Stella talks with the man who stabbed Rick in jail. He says that he wouldn't waste a favor outside of prison to kill Rick and he couldn't have killed him in jail.

After a blessing from the rabbi, Hawkes gets to work on examining the body while Danny takes care of the dress. Hawkes determines that the bride died because she ingested too much formaldehyde. It went into her skin and nose causing her blood to clot. Meanwhile, Danny and Mac interrogate the maid of honour and groom. Both of them had hair on the bride's wedding dress and the maid of honour works as a biology teacher.

Therefore she has access to large quantities of formaldehyde. The groom confesses that he found the maid of honour in the wedding dress and after a while, the maid of honour confesses as well.

After finding the fingerprints on the gun that she got from the car, Aiden ran a search on tissue found under the fingernails of Rick's severed hand. These pointed roughly to a Victor Mulcahy. The bad thing is that Rick Amadori killed Victor in a bar fight three years prior to this case.

They decide to bring his son Connor in. Inside the interrogation room, Connor admits to killing Amadori when they ask him about a scratch on his neck and prove that his fingerprints were in the stolen car. Meanwhile Mac finds out that the dead bride's wedding dress came off a dead woman. Due to the type of formaldehyde, her maid of honour didn't kill her, but the embalming fluid from the previous bride did.

After careful inspection, Stella finds that the map is for the monastery and it points directly to where Amadori was digging for his treasure. At the prison, she finds that the convict who stabbed him also created the map on a pad of paper. However, he couldn't have killed him on his own.
Mac and Danny also have troubles. They go to the resale wedding dress shop and find that the man who brought in the dress used the name John Smith. He also brought in two suits that they take in to examine. Danny finds the same formaldehyde and deodorizer on the suits.

After Mac realizes that there could be more poisonous suits out there, another man died of formaldehyde ingestion. This time, Danny finds a handkerchief and Aiden runs the recently deceased P.D.s in New York. These point to Peyton Davis who was buried at Swinton Mortuaries. Mac brings John Swinton into the interrogation room and he confesses that he didn't care about the chemicals when he could just make a quick buck.

He also tells Mac that there's a third suit out there.

Stella makes a discovery that one of the two men inspecting the building killed Amadori. They beat him on the head with a measuring device (leaving the black trace) and shackled him to the wall. According to the murderer, he did it because he owed the con in jail or else he would be hunted down and killed.
In the end, Mac finds the final poisoned suit and gets it off the groom at the altar.
Amadori stole the car from Connor Mulcahy. Connor did meet him at the terminal and tried to kill him, but Mulcahy caused the scratch on his face and left with the vehicle. Connor admitted to the crime because he wanted it to be true that he got revenge.
