1. This was the first episode not to feature Granddad.

Answer: False

Granddad was also absent from the episode "Cash and Curry" in the first series.

Lennard Pearce, who played Granddad had started filming the series 4 episode "Hole in One" when he suffered a heart attack. He was discharged from hospital but sadly suffered a second heart attack and passed away.

He was replaced in the series by Buster Merryfield, who played Uncle Albert, Granddad's estranged brother.
2. What did Rodney ask Del to buy in the newsagents?

Answer: Adult magazine

Rodney did not want to purchase the magazine himself as he was seeing the server, Debbie, and did not want her to think he was odd.

Del: "Give me one of your dirty magazines."
Debbie: "Which on do you want?"
Del: "Which one do you want, Rodney?"
3. What is the name of the boy Del helps?

Answer: Jason

Del and Rodney first encounter Jason as he is about to run into the road in front of a car. It transpires he is running away from his mum as she was mad at him for letting down the tyres on Del's three-wheeled van.

Later on that night, Del sees Jason sitting by the side of the road and offers to take him home to explain to his mum that he asked Jason to let down the tyres to see how long it would take Rodney to pump them back up again. Del then discovers that Jason's mum is one of his old flames, June Snell.
