Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Andre Rieu's "Bolero"

Answer: Hobbitses, Physicses and a Ball with Zip

"Bolero" is a classical song composed by French composer Maurice Ravel. It was first heard in 1928 at the Paris Opera and has been used in many movies, TV shows, and computer games since.

Andre Rieu's version of the song is heard while Sheldon bowls in an unusual way. He rolls the ball slowly down the center of the lane so that the ball hits the front pin and doesn't knock any of the pins over. After this, he decides that he's no good at bowling and he gives up. However, I think what he did is amazing. Most bowlers could not do what he did.
2. Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer"

Answer: Albert Einstein and the Story of Another Mary

This song is played during the opening of the episode, in which adult Sheldon, narrating, tells us his siblings' favorite musicians. "Bad Medicine" had been featured or mentioned in a couple of season one episodes but this is the first time we ever hear Bon Jovi's most famous song on "Young Sheldon."
3. The Ramones' cover of "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?"

Answer: A Mother, a Child and a Blue Man's Backside

This is played when Mary goes to a comic book store to chastise the owner of the store for selling to Sheldon a comic book that she thought was inappropriate for a 9-year-old boy. This episode also ends with the Ramones' cover of "What a Wonderful World." There's also a couple of cover songs done by the Clash in other episodes. Apparently the writers of this show prefer punk rock covers of classic songs over the original versions of those songs.
4. Talking Heads' "And She Was"

Answer: A Research Study and Czechoslovakian Wedding Pastries

This is played at the beginning of the episode, during which adult Sheldon, narrating, tells us the differences between him and his twin sister. He concludes the scene by telling us that this is why he moved to California as soon as he could.
5. Murray Head's "Jesus Christ Superstar"

Answer: The Sin of Greed and a Chimichanga from Chi-Chi's

In this episode, Mary confiscates everything that she deems "Sinful," including Georgie's music and magazines, Missy's goober, and the television. George takes the kids to Mee Maw's house, to her chagrin. Mee Maw then convinces Mary to return everything she confiscated so the family can come home. Mary does this, but she makes some adjustments. One adjustment that she makes is that she tapes this song over Georgie's copy of Black Sabbath's "Born Again" album.
6. Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Bad Moon Rising"

Answer: Contracts, Rules and a Little Bit of Pig Brains

This song is played during a camping trip when Dale and Dr. Sturgis get in an argument. The argument starts because Dr. Sturgis is a better fisher than Dale. Dale, who thought Dr. Sturgis was just a lunatic, wasn't happy to learn this.
7. Poison's "Nothin' But a Good Time"

Answer: Pilot

This is played during a scene at football practice, in which Georgie gets into a fight with someone because the other person called him "The dumb brother." Georgie's dad, the coach, has to break up to fight and talk to him in the locker room, where he tries to blame the fight on Sheldon, who wasn't even anywhere near the football field.

This song also appears in a later episode, when Dale puts Georgie in charge of his sporting goods store and Georgie changes the music played at the store. However, this quiz asked you to name the FIRST episode the song appeared in.
8. REO Speedwagon's "Take it on the Run"

Answer: Family Dynamics and a Red Fiero

This song plays when we see George driving a Red Fiero that he bought to try and reconcile with his wife after an argument during dinner. This backfires big time. Mary gets even angrier because of the money spent on the car, and then the car's engine dies.
9. The Rolling Stones' "Sympathy For the Devil"

Answer: Seven Deadly Sins and a Small Carl Sagan

After the church's previous Halloween event got bad publicity, Pastor Jeff puts Mary in charge of creating a family-friendly Halloween event this year. Mary then delegates the task to the high school drama teacher, Mr. Lundy. This song plays as we see the rehearsal for the event.
10. Elvis Presley's "A Little Less Conversation"

Answer: A Live Chicken, a Fried Chicken and Holy Matrimony

This song plays during the wedding of Pastor Jeff and Officer Robin. After they each say "I do" and kiss, they run to somewhere that's private. Missy asks "Where are they going in such a hurry?" Sheldon says "Probably to unwrap their presents." Mee Maw says "Something's getting unwrapped."
