Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Looking back, I would have had better luck making friends with the chickens."

Answer: Adult Sheldon

In "Rockets, Communists, and the Dewey Decimal System," Sheldon tries to befriend Billy, practicing strategies that he learned reading the book "How to Win Friends and Influence People." This doesn't work because Billy isn't interested in talking about himself. A frustrated young Sheldon gives up as Jim Parsons (Adult Sheldon) narrates with this quote.

In later episodes, Sheldon and Billy are surprisingly friends. Considering that on "The Big Bang Theory," Sheldon said that Billy bullied him, it's surprising that the seem to be friends on "Young Sheldon."
2. "We're going eight miles an hour. A cow just passed us!"

Answer: Georgie

In "Poker, Faith, and Eggs," Georgie steals Mee Maw's car and drives Missy and Sheldon to the hospital so they can all visit their dad. Sheldon is terrified because Georgie is too young to drive and doesn't have a license. Sheldon tells Georgie to slow down. Georgie responds with this quote.
3. "I'm not hungry. The three words you never hear in Vietnam."

Answer: Tam

In "A Therapist, a Comic Book, and a Breakfast Sausage," Sheldon refuses to eat his sandwich at lunch in the cafeteria because he is afraid he will choke just like he did earlier in the episode. He tells his best friend that he isn't hungry. That's when Tam says this.
4. "There are incantations in this book to summon actual demons."

Answer: Mary

In "Demons, Sunday School, and Prime Numbers," Mary is concerned about Sheldon and his friends playing "Dungeons and Dragons." She, being a devout Christian, believes that demons and the devil are real and that the "Dungeons and Dragons" book has real spells that will actually summon real demons to the world.

She expresses these concerns to her husband, her mother, and the parents of the other two kids playing the game, but no one takes her seriously.
5. "And I'm worth every penny"

Answer: Missy

In "A Computer, a Plastic Pony, and a Case of Beer" When Mary tells Sheldon that she won't buy a computer for him, Sheldon says that it's unfair because she bought a ring pop for Missy. Mary responds "For ten cents!" (The point being that a computer costs far more than ten cents). Missy responds with this quote, happy that she got something and Sheldon got nothing.

This quote amuses me, because young Missy has no idea that being worth every penny of ten cents isn't all that much.
6. "There's a person at the other end of the table that eats for three!"

Answer: Mee Maw

In "A Financial Secret and Fish Sauce," Sheldon, doing the family's taxes, asks why their grocery is higher than last year. George says "There's a person at the end of the table that eats for free." Mee Maw responds with this. Mee Maw and George insult each other a lot. Mee Maw doesn't like George because all he had to do for her daughter to fall in love with him was own a motorcycle. Mee Maw felt that shouldn't have been good enough. George doesn't like Mee Maw because she doesn't respect him at all, even when he shows personal growth as a person.
7. "Carbon dating is how we figured out how old my grandmother is."

Answer: Young Sheldon

In "Carbon Dating and a Stuffed Raccoon," Sheldon and Paige attend a lecture on carbon dating. The speaker, surprised to see kids at her lecture, concludes that they must be smarter than average kids so she begins the lecture by asking them to talk about carbon dating. Paige gives an accurate scientific definition of the term.

Sheldon, knowing he can't add anything to what Paige said or say it any better than she said it, instead decides to re-tell a joke that his dad told him earlier. Lots of people laugh.
8. "Television is free. Always has been, always will be"

Answer: George

In "A Swedish Science Thing and the Equation for Toast," Georgie wants cable but George refuses to pay for it, saying this. He then tells his son that if he wants cable, he needs to buy it. Georgie does just that, but then he put a parental control code on it so his dad can't watch cable (the son uses parental control on the dad. How ironic is that). George then makes his son give him the code by billing him a lot for food, laundry, and a PIMA tax (this is explained in the episode).
9. "They don't win much, but they lead the league in injuries."

Answer: Dr. Sturgis

In "The Sin of Greed and a Chimichanga from Chi-Chi's," Dr. Sturgis tells George that the university is offering him a coaching job so that Sheldon can be enrolled there full-time and have his dad watch over him while he's there. George asks Dr. Sturgis if the university has a football team. Dr. Sturgis responds by saying that they do, and then says this quote about the team.
10. "People eat them and throw them at me on Halloween."

Answer: Billy

In "A Party Invitation, Football Grapes and an Earth Chicken," Sheldon goes to Billy's birthday party dressed as and imitating Mr. Spock from Star Trek as if he visited Earth for the first time. He and Billy end up playing together in the chicken coop.

Sheldon, pretending to be Mr. Spock, finds a white object and asks what it is. Billy says that it's an egg. Sheldon/Mr. Spock asks what it's used for. Billy responds with this quote.
