Del takes his camel-hair coat off and it gets soaked with run off water from a drainpipe. Del then launches himself at Tommy and his accomplice. Just then, a policeman hears the commotion and comes to have a look, but decides not to get involved. We then see Del stagger away before meeting up with Rodney again in the pub to let him know the way is now clear for him and Irene. Rodney, however, has moved on and is seeing someone else.

Del: "That's the truest bloody word you've spoke for ages, Rodney."

Rodney has decided that his "love" for Irene was just an infatuation. He went to the roller disco and met 18-year Old Zoe, who "has a body that makes Bo Derek look a cert for plastic surgery."
