Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In "Yuppy Love" what colour suit is Trigger wearing at the wine bar?

Answer: Blue

In "Yuppy Love" Rodney is seeing Cassandra. Del visits a trendy wine bar (these were very popular in the 1980s) and meets up with Trigger there. After failing to impress two posh women by talking about money, and Trigger's disastrous attempt at discussing his old £5 note, they stand by the bar talking.

A very funny scene that will always make people laugh is when Del falls through the open bar, and Trigger stands there looking around for him.
2. In "Danger UXD" who did Del try to sell the blow-up dolls to?

Answer: Dirty Barry

Del purchased 50 blow-up dolls from Denzil, but didn't find out until it was too late that they were faulty. He tried to sell them onto Dirty Barry, who runs the local sex toy shop. Whilst Uncle Albert is in the flat, he hears a funny hissing noise and two of the dolls inflate from behind the drinks bar. Del and Rodney cart them off in the van, and after throwing them onto a rubbish site, the dolls explode and Del and Rodney end up being thrown to the floor.
3. Is this quote correct from the episode entitled "Chain Gang"? Del to Cassandra - "Parry... Alan Parry. Yes, little fella, One blue eye, one brown, talks with a squint, walks with a stutter!"

Answer: Yes

Del is trying to purchase 250 gold chains from a retired jeweller named Arnie. However, Arnie pulls a fast one by feigning a heart attack and disappearing with the chains AND the money! However Del catches up with him in the end.
4. In "The Unlucky Winner Is..." what is the reply to the following question: "Are you having fun?"

Answer: Groovy

Having submitted a painting Rodney did at school into a competition, Del finds out that he has won a family holiday to Mallorca. He takes Cassandra and Rodney. Rodney gets enrolled into the Groovy Gang, because it turns that that Rodney was entered into the under-15's category. Therefore Del and Cassandra are mum and dad, with Rodney as their son.
5. In "Sickness and Wealth" what colour outfit is the doctor wearing?

Answer: Green

In this episode, Del is suffering from severe stomach cramps but is afraid to see the doctor. In the end he has to go and she admits him straight into the local hospital. It turns out he has Irritable Bowel Syndrome caused by his lifestyle of cigars, alcohol and stodgy dinners.
6. In "Little Problems" what are the first names of the Driscoll brothers?

Answer: Danny and Tony

In "Little Problems" Rodney and Cassandra are getting married. Del has bought some hooky mobile phones from Mickey Pearce, who in turn had bought them from Tony and Danny Driscoll. The Driscoll brothers are the Mitchells ("EastEnders") of the "Only Fools and Horses" world.

They give Del a real hiding when he can't come up with the £2,000 he owes them, but still manages to be the best man at the wedding.
7. In "Jolly Boy's Outing" what does Del say is a female swan whilst they are playing Trivial Pursuit?

Answer: Bic

Del gets the answer to the question as bic, because Rodney is trying to help by messing about with a biro. Instead of thinking like a normal person and realising he means a pen, Del decides to give the answer as the maker of that particular brand of biro.
8. In "Rodney Come Home" when Del and Rodney are arguing outside Cassandra's flat, what colour pajamas is the man in the flat opposite wearing?

Answer: Blue with black stripes

Rodney is having problems with his marraige to Cassandra, as she has become a workaholic and has no time to spend with Rodders. Del, in an attempt to help, makes things a lot worse. Rodney argues with Del after being locked out of the flat, and the man who lives opposite comes out to complain about the noise.
9. "The Robin Flies At Dawn" was made to encourage troops fighting in which war?

Answer: Gulf War 1

This was a 15 minute special that was made to encourage troops fighting in the first Gulf War. It has never been made available for public viewing, but the script can be viewed on www.ofah.net. In this special, the boys have disguised their Reliant Robin as a three-wheeled tank.
10. Going back to "Rodney Come Home" what sport is it that Cassandra is getting ready to go out and play?

Answer: Badminton

As well as working all the time, Cassandra has taken up badminton to do in the evenings. Rodney is not at all happy with this, as this means that Cass is never around to cook his dinner!
