Answer: Siddiq

Siddiq is played by actor Avi Nash and was introduced in season 8, episode 1, "Mercy". In Arabic, Siddiq means "truthful." Carl Grimes first comes across the new character while scavenging at a gas station, where Siddiq says he is looking for food, but Rick shows up and scares him off with gunshots in the air. Rick explains to Carl that they can't risk the stranger being a spy for the Saviors.

Siddiq was a resident doctor prior to the apocalypse. He eventually joins Rick's group and eventually becomes a doctor and councilmember for the Alexandria Safe-Zone.

Answer: Morales

In season 1, Morales, his wife, and two children part ways with Rick's group when the group decides to go on to the CDC. The Morales family plans to travel to Birmingham in search of other family members. But apparently over the seasons, Morales loses his entire family and ends up joining the Saviors. Rick runs into him in season 8, episode 2, when Morales levels a gun at him and threatens to turn him over to Negan.

In episode 3, however, Daryl enters the room and shoots Morales in the head with an arrow, making the character's reprieve short-lived.

Answer: Eric Raleigh

Played by Jordan Woods-Robinson, Eric Raleigh, boyfriend of Alexandria recruiter Aaron, meets his end in episode 3 of season 8, "Monsters". During a battle at one of the Saviors' outposts, he's shot in the abdomen and left beneath a tree, where he dies. When Aaron returns, he finds Eric has turned into a walker and is shuffling off with a herd.

Natania, Oceanside's grandmotherly leader, is killed by Enid, who fires on her when she attacks Aaron.

Answer: Shiva

Ezekiel's tiger Shiva, created for the show using CGI effects, was rescued from the zoo where Ezekiel worked as a zookeeper and became his companion during the apocalypse. Shiva sacrifices himself to buy time so that the trio can escape the onslaught of walkers in episode 4, "Some Guy". The tiger is in turn devoured by walkers.

Dr. Harlan Carson, who was taken to the Sanctuary from the Hilltop to serve as their doctor, meets his death trying to escape with Father Gabriel.

Carl Grimes also dies in season 8, after being bit by a walker. He dies in episode 9, "Honor", in the tunnels through which he led people to safety out of Alexandria.

Answer: Simon

Jared is a Savior killed by Morgan, who puts him in a position to be devoured by walkers. Gavin is a Savior killed by Henry in episode 9, "Honor". Yago is a member of the Saviors killed by Rick in episode 5, "The Big Scary U". In episode 17, "Worth", when Simon attempts to organize a coup against Negan, Negan chokes him to death and then has Simon's walker form chained to the fence as a warning to would-be rebels. Simon has a mean killing streak, having massacred all the men and older boys in the community that fled to Oceanside and having killed all of The Scavengers except Jadis.

Answer: Father Gabriel

In season 8, episode 1, "Mercy", Rick's group attacks the Sanctuary. They are able to take down its fences so that it is flooded with walkers. Once the place is overrun, they retreat, but Gabriel stays in order to save Gregory. Gregory, however, turns around and abandons him, and Gabriel is surrounded by walkers. He escapes to hide in a trailer, only to find himself trapped inside with Negan.

Answer: Jesus

In season 8, episode 2, "The Damned", Jesus and Tara find a group of Saviors who drop their guns and surrender. Jesus stops Morgan from killing them, and they take the group captive at the Hilltop. Season 8 was the last of five seasons of "The Walking Dead" to feature Scott Gimple as showrunner. It premiered on October 22, 2017 in the U.S. and contained 16 episodes.

Answer: Maggie

The King refers to Ezekiel, Rick to, obviously, Rick Grimes, leader of Alexandria, and the Widow to Maggie, who has been made a widow by Negan's choice to beat Glenn Rhee to death. These are Negan's three arch enemies, whom he plans to destroy. Negan says, "I killed the widow's husband and the ginger," referring to Abraham. But, he claims, "I didn't get them killed." That, he insists, "was your boy Rick."

Season 8 used material from issues 115 through 126 of the comic book series, which was titled "All Out War Part I & II".

In episode 12, "The Key", the four women meet up to make the trade. In addition to food, Georgie gives them a book called "A Key to Our Future", which contains plans for building irrigation and windmills and other such structures to help Maggie create a lasting community. Later, in season 9, the audience learns that Georgie has been staying in touch with Maggie via letters and that Maggie (along with her son Hershel) has left the Hilltop to join her group and help build up communities.

Alden works out a deal with Maggie in which the Saviors will be allowed out of their pen two at a time for exercise and medical attention as needed. She allows him to bury dead Saviors. He eventually participates in defending the Hilltop and asks to remain there as a member instead of returning to the Sanctuary with the other defectors.

Carol left Tobin when she left Alexandria to find herself in season 7. Tobin was heartbroken, but in season 8, he fights with the others against the Saviors. At a battle at the Hilltop in episode 13, "Do Not Send Us Astray", Tobin is stabbed. The weapon, having been laced with walker blood, causes an infection. Carol tends to Tobin while he dies and eventually puts down his transformed walker corpse.

Answer: Judith

Carl slowly dies of his walker bite, which gave him time to hang out with Judith and write letters to his loved ones. Judith and Carl share a mother, Lori, though they have different biological fathers. (Carl is Rick's biological son, while Judith is Shane's.) Carl says these words to his baby sister Judith in episode 9, "Honor". Carl also gives Judith his hat, which he got from Rick. Judith can be seen wearing it in future episodes.

Answer: He sabotages the Saviors' ammunition

Eugene was impressed to make ammunition for the Saviors, but he sabotages it so that their weapons backfire when the final confrontation occurs in episode 16, "Wrath".

At the 44th Saturn Awards, the eighth season of "The Walking Dead" won an award for Best Horror Television Series. Chandler Riggs also won for Best Performance by a Younger Actor in a Television Series

Answer: Negan

Before he dies, Carl writes letters to Judith, Enid, his father Rick, and Negan. In season 8, episode 15, "Worth", we learn what he wrote to Negan. Carl tells Negan how he died and says, "The way out is working together. It's forgiveness. It's believing that it doesn't have to be a fight anymore. Because it doesn't. I hope my dad offers you peace. I hope you take it. I hope everything can change. It did for me. Start over. You still can."

Answer: He lets Negan live

In the season 8 finale, Rick ends up in a fight with Negan and slits his neck but then has Siddiq patch the man up to honor Carl's dying wish to make peace. Rick tells Negan, "We're not going to kill you. We're not going to hurt you. You're going to rot in a cell." Maggie is enraged at the decision, because she wants revenge for the death of her husband. This episode caused much controversy among audiences, who debated whether or not Rick should have let Negan live.
