This was a beautiful scene between C.J. and Molly where C.J. lashed out at the older woman, taking out her own guilt and helplessness as well as her anger and frustration on Molly. Their full exchange:

C.J.: "Molly."

Molly: "I failed, I know. Please, no lectures."

C.J.: "What happened?"

Molly: "Have you been there? Have you seen what--"

Libby: "Mom, nobody is--"

Molly: "I made a mistake. It was years of him being charming. You both know how-- how charming the man can be."

C.J.: "Yes, but--"

Molly: "I was in the English department, he was in the Math. There were lunches. There were quiet lunches, for years. And we wait. Both of us, waiting for years. After your mom died, and I had married what's his name, we were still two missed connections; two withered, married, ancient people, waiting!"

C.J.: "Why didn't you call me, Molly?"

Molly: "I didn't get to spend time with your father. We never had an affair. I'm sorry, but I don't want to diaper a man--"

C.J.: "Shut up! Shut up. You were a wonderful teacher, Molly. You should be ashamed of yourself."

Molly: "Well I am. And did you know what the nickname for the disease is? 'The long goodbye'."

C.J.: "Well not in your case, though, is it? In your case, more accurately, it's 'the short, see-you-later goodbye', isn't it?
Libby: "C.J."

C.J.: "What happened to reciprocity? Do you ever imagine, in a million years if the roles were reversed, he would ever do this to you? This is-- What you're doing right now invalidates everything that came before, all the good, the years of teaching. This cancels a good and valuable life! He needs you!"

Molly: "I need him!"

(Molly turns away, and as she continues to speak, C.J. walks out.)

Molly: "You came for the reunion? You're giving a speech aren't you? It was in the paper: 'The Promise of a Generation'. We were going to go and stand in the back."

He loved it, and had been planning on it since before C.J. arrived, but she seemed a bit miserable wading around the cold river in February.

He first confused C.J. with Molly, then didn't know who C.J. was. Then he went off about all the women "hounding" him, saying that his daughter had abandoned him. C.J. looked crushed as she reached out for him.

When C.J. offered to quit her job and take care of him, Tal replied, "I'd much rather see you on TV, darling, than sitting opposite me watching a demolition derby go on in my brain." C.J. seemed to quietly accept that and went back to the fishing.

Tal replied, "I know what the key is for. And I know what the door is for. And I think I'll use it." He then tried to stand and go, but C.J. stopped him.

Toby asked "What's all that honking? You in a parade? They having a parade for you?" C.J. didn't want to tell him what was going on, so simply told him they'd have to talk later. Then she made her father pull over so they could switch and she could drive.

Tal was playing the piano while watching the press briefing on television. He stopped playing to exclaim, "That man lacks grace and charm!" C.J. commented, "Do you think?" Tal resumed playing for a bit before stopping to say "Oh! They really need you!" C.J. agreed, "Yeah, they kinda do."

Tal held it for Marco and C.J. and said, "I can't even remember who this is." C.J. stood looking at her picture for a moment before walking out. Marco excused himself, and went to help C.J. on with her coat. As she followed him out the door, she tried to smile but the tears could still be seen on her cheeks.
