Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The Demogorgon doesn't bother getting too creative with its choice of basic attack weapon. What does it strike Survivors with in this regard?

Answer: Its claws

Unlike most Killers, who have a blade wipe animation after striking someone with a basic attack, the Demogorgon will very loudly roar upon hitting a Survivor.
2. The Demogorgon's power is known as "Of The Abyss." The power affords it a few different utilities, one of which aiding it in chase. This particular aspect features the Demogorgon hissing, open its mouth and arms wide before leaping forward and striking any Survivor in its path. What is this maneuver known as?

Answer: Shred

Shredding Survivors does not count as a basic attack, meaning it will neither gain nor lose Save The Best For Last tokens, it will not synergize with the Exposed status effect, it will not apply Sloppy Butcher, or accomplish anything a typical basic attack would.

It does, however, count as an offensive action, meaning it would cost one token of Play With Your Food to use, and it would activate perks based around Survivors being injured or taking damage, such as Thanatophobia or Hysteria, should the Shred manage to successfully connect.
3. Of The Abyss allows The Demogorgon to place down portals which it can use to quickly cover tons of ground across the map. Assuming no add-ons, how many portals may The Demogorgon place on the map?

Answer: Six

If Survivors successfully complete the Remove Portal action, it will remove the portal the Demogorgon has placed down and allow it to gain it back to place it somewhere else, or in the same spot it was removed from.

Upon emerging from a portal the Demogorgon has teleported to, it will briefly receive the Undetectable status effect, and have no Terror Radius or Red Stain. Undetectable following coming out of portal can be prolonged through the use of add-ons. Additionally, should the Demogorgon choose to teleport to a portal which is in the midst of being removed by Survivors, it will force them off the portal and reset the progress they had in removing it. Additionally, whilst removing a portal, Survivors have the Oblivious status effect, and will not hear a Terror Radius. This means the Demogorgon could potentially sneak up on them and grab them off the portal, similarly interrupting and resetting any progress made on removing it.
4. There are a few differences between "Active" and "Inactive" portals that the Demogorgon may place down. Which of the following is one of them?

Answer: Survivors cannot remove Inactive portals

The first time the Demogorgon places a portal down, it will be Inactive. Inactive portals are invisible to Survivors and cannot be removed. Once the Demogorgon uses the Inactive portal to either travel to another portal, or uses it to be travelled to, that portal becomes Active and can now be seen and removed by Survivors.
5. Every Killer gets three teachable perks that, when acquired, can be given to other Killers. The Demogorgon's level 30 teachable perk will cause nearby generators with progress to explode and begin regressing if the Killer using it downs a Survivor with a basic attack. What perk is this?

Answer: Surge

Surge is a good pick for Killers which record downs a lot with their basic attack. It makes for a particularly good pairing with the Surveillance perk, as the Killer can quickly figure out if any generators blown up by Surge were returned to, and can act on that information. Once upon a time, Surge would not cause generators to blow up if they were already regressing, meaning it was an iffy pick if the Killer chose to use the Hex: Ruin perk.

It would go on to be buffed to blow up generators even if they were already regressing, meaning it suddenly became a great pairing with Hex: Ruin.
6. The Demogorgon's second teachable perk causes Survivors who repair generators to immediately become afflicted with the Exhausted status effect for a small portion of time, as well as pause the timers on the Exhausted status effect should the Survivor already be suffering from it when interacting with a generator. What perk is this?

Answer: Mindbreaker

Mindbreaker is an interesting choice because it greatly hinders Survivors who lean heavily on their Exhaustion based perks, such as Sprint Burst and Dead Hard. In particular, this perk is a good idea on stealthy Killers, as they can typically close the gap on Survivors and, with Mindbreaker, will know that they will be unable to simply Sprint Burst away to avoid taking a hit.

It also can cause issues during the chase after the first hit for Dead Hard users, as they will need to find a way to not run for five whole seconds during the chase in order to use their perk, which can be dangerous unless they have a very strong pallet loop at their immediate disposal.

In general, Mindbreaker is a solid, albeit uncommon choice for just about any Killer.
7. The Demogorgon's third and final teachable perk will block off any and all vaulting locations within a moderate proximity of a completed generator for a moderate amount of time. What perk is this?

Answer: Cruel Limits

This has application in tandem with the Tinkerer perk; even if the Killer arrives to the generator just a smidgen too late and it gets completed, they will have a brief upper hand in an ensuing chase with a Survivor, as they will not have any windows for use thanks to Cruel Limits.

It can also go well with the Mindbreaker perk, as they will be unable to simply Sprint Burst to safety to get out of Cruel Limits range, making them highly susceptible to taking a hit after finishing a generator. This can be a good pick for Killers with insta-down capabilities, such as Leatherface, Hillbilly, or Michael Myers in Tier 3 of his power.
8. This ultra rare add-on for the Demogorgon makes it travel through its portals slower, but greatly increases the duration of the Undetectable status effect it gains once done traveling. It also does not give an audio cue when traveling through its portals. What add-on is this?

Answer: Red Moss

This add-on can make the Demogorgon very deadly and capable of an extreme snowball when using the Make Your Choice or Hex: Devour Hope perks. It can hook someone, place a portal close by, then teleport to it once the hook save has been made to put pressure on both Survivors, especially the rescuer if using Make Your Choice.

It can do this more efficiently than usual because neither will be able to predict the Demogorgon's location or movements while it is being shrouded by the Undetectable status effect, which it will have for a whopping nine seconds thanks to this add-on.
9. This ultra rare add-on can make the Demogorgon a very efficient hunter, revealing the auras of all Survivors while traveling through its portals, and shortly upon emerging through one. What is it?

Answer: Leprose Lichen

In tandem with its other ultra rare add-on, the Demogorgon can have a good time getting the jump on Survivors that it is able to clearly spot the location of thanks to this add-on. This can also have deadly application towards the end of the game, seeking out that pesky last Survivor and not having to guess which exit gate they are trying to open.
10. When not using its power in anyway, what movement speed does the Demogorgon possess juxtaposed to the Survivors?

Answer: 115%

When Shredding, for a very brief period of time, the Demogorgon will move at 460% speed as it leaps forward. Beyond that, the Demogorgon's base movement speed makes catching up to Survivors just as doable as most other Killers.
