Gabriel sends a letter to Grace saying that he tracked the suspect down to a hunt club. It has become clear to Grace that Ludwig II is connected to Gabriel somehow, so when she reads of a hunting accident in a book about Ludwig II, she fears Gabriel will be in a hunting accident.

Answer: Gabriel is Grace's other, but not vice-versa

According to Mrs. Smith's tarot reading, Grace is the empress, a woman of logic and reasoning. Her other is the magician, a man who is powerful, cunning, and deals with occult powers. That turns out to be Gabriel. However, Gabriel's other is not the empress.

It's the high priestess. Mrs. Smith never explicitly states who the high priestess is, but the game suggests it's probably Ludwig II.

Answer: Crying at Wolfgang's grave

When Grace sees Gerde crying at Wolfgang's grave, Grace realizes that Gerde was in love with Wolfgang not Gabriel. Grace apologizes and the two reconcile. Gerde offers Grace Gabriel's car keys.

Answer: Neuschwanstein

Upon Gabriel's suggestion, Grace goes to a castle in the southwest part of Germany to learn more about Ludwig II. This game is kind enough to give you a free tour of the castle.

Answer: Wolf paintings

This game has actual photographs from Neuschwanstein. Almost everything you see in the game is in the real castle. The only thing that's different in the game is the wolf paintings in the final room. The wolf paintings serve a plot-related purpose.

Answer: Eagle, dove

Elizabeth called Ludwig II her Eagle and Ludwig II called Elizabeth her dove. They wrote many letters to each other, many of which can be seen in the Ludwig II museum. It is likely the letters in this game do not match up with the real letters they wrote to each other, because there is something about Ludwig II that in only true in this game.

Answer: Midnight sleigh rides

In the chapter 4 beginning movie, Grace has a dream. She's wearing a wedding dress and she's outside in the snowy Alps at midnight, being chased be wolves. Ludwig II rides up to her on his sleigh and rescues her. Grace is incredibly grateful and wants to kiss Ludwig II.

The Ludwig II changes into something. Grace forgets this dream when she wakes up, but she remembers it again when she sees this painting at the museum. She then tells the Smiths about it. Mrs. Smith tells her to look into Ludwig II.

Answer: Wagner

In the game, Ludwig II's best friend was Richard Wagner. Grace asks the curator of the museum where she can learn more about Wagner. The curator suggests Bayreuth. Grace goes there.

Answer: Georg

Georg is a popular name in the "Gabriel Knight" series because St. George is the patron saint of the schattenjagers. The Georg at the museum likely has no connection to St. George or the schattenjagers. However, Grace was very excited to meet Georg. That could be partly because his name is so closely associated with her crush, no matter how much she denies that Gabriel is her crush.

Answer: Opera

The wolf paintings at the castle and a letter at the Wagner museum suggest that there is a lost Wagner wolf opera. People believe it existed, but no one has ever found it. Georg believes that it is lost forever. Of course, nothing is impossible for an adventure game protagonist. Grace must find this opera.

Answer: Werewolf

Ludwig II was bitten by the second black wolf. Wagner wrote an opera that was intended to remove the werewolf curse, but it never got performed. In chapter four, Grace learns the original name of the second black wolf. However, she also learns that he probably changed his name, and that she need to get an entitlement deed to the black wolf to find out his real name. Chances are, it's someone Gabriel knows. Fortunately, Gabriel is a member of a royal family, which means he has a connection to a very powerful lawyer. So Grace can get this entitlement deed quickly.

Answer: Richmond Chaphill

Richmond Chaphill got to see the diary on the condition that he didn't show it to anybody else. Grace tries to contact Chaphill. She learns that Richmond Chaphill is dead, but his son Thomas is alive. So Grace calls Thomas Chaphill in England and requests the diary. Thomas refuses to give it to her.

Answer: Lily

One of the symbols Ludwig II associates with himself is the lily. So when Grace can't think of another way to learn more about Ludwig II. She tries something absurd. She picks a lily from near the Rittersburg church, and she drops it in the water in front of Ludwig's grave.

She then tells Ludwig II that she needs him to tell her more. Then, apparently the spirit of Ludwig II speak to Thomas Chaphill and tells him to give Grace Ludwig's II. Somehow Ludwig II knows Grace's address. This is one of the more absurd puzzles in the game and there really are no hints for it.

Answer: The opera was completed

When Grace learns that Wagner's opera was completed, she excitedly shows Ludwig II's diary to Georg. Georg is also quite excited to learn that Ludwig's opera was completed.

Answer: The composer's wife's diary

Grace shows Georg one thing no one is supposed to see. Georg returns the favor and shows Grace another thing that no one is supposed to see. Both Georg and Grace are incredibly excited, albeit for different reasons, about this news. They both feel it must be found. Georg has no idea where to look for it, so Grace must find it.
