Le Serpent Rouge (The Red Snake) is a document with a riddle. At Chateau de Blanchefort, Estelle and Lady Howard talk about it, drawing the attention of several other people there. Grace decides that it's important to learn about this document. Estelle has a copy of it, but she and Lady Howard learn not to discus it in front of the tour group and tell Grace nothing about it. Emilio also has a copy.

He initially tells Grace that he can't help her. Madeline is interested in the document too. Of these choices, only Buccelli isn't interested in it.

Answer: Lady Howard

The British women know that Grace is sleeping in a hotel room with Gabriel. Lady Howard says Gabriel is "The worst sort of person." Estelle tells her not to upset Grace. Grace does not seem upset.

Answer: Madeline

Gabriel finds a gun in Madeline's bedroom. He gets her fingerprint from it. Gabriel wanted a gun earlier in the game to shoot the moped guy, but by the time he got in Madeline's room he already got the bike he wanted.

Gabriel finds food in Emilio's bedroom and reads the "Room Service" order note in the kitchen. Gabriel learns that Emilio orders a lot of room service. Gabriel then realizes that he never sees Emilio in the dining room.

Gabriel doesn't find anything of interest in Wilkes' room other than a letter from a publisher. So he doesn't get Wilke's fingerprint until later, when he leaves his green drinking glass in the lobby.

When they arrive at the vineyard, Emilio tells Grace that he doesn't want to go inside and get a drink like the rest of the group. Grace thinks he's sick, although she says it came on rather suddenly. It turns out that Chateau de Serras is a bad place and only Emilio knew that at this point in time.

When Grace explores the area, she hears a sound that she mistakes for a baby crying. So she climbs her way into the building (taking a risk even more ridiculous than when Gabriel walked on the window sills at the hunting lodge in "Gabriel Knight 2") and after exploring much of the building and finding the secret entrance to the cellar, she discovers the "crying" sound was just a wine press. However, when she leaves, she is not convinced that was a red herring. She finds robes with odd symbols on them in the attic. She also finds a picture of a man with a grail where his stomach should be in the library. She also finds a crazy lady near the wine press. So, she asks Gabriel to talk to the owner of the vineyard to learn more.

Grace does find a doll that she initially thought was the baby in one of the crates in the attic, but the question was "What did she really HEAR?" not "What did she really see?"

Answer: Two men are murdered

The tour group goes to the devil's armchair hoping to see a tourist site. When they get there, they see two dead bodies with their throats cut. Everybody is horrified, especially Lady Howard and except Emilio. Grace, being the only person in the tour group who knew who the two men were, tells Gabriel about it. Gabriel and Mosely go there to investigate. The first thing that stands out to them is that even through their throats were cut, there was no blood nearby. Gabriel finds the blood on some rocks nearby, along with four knee indentations. Gabriel uses his Schatenjager abilities to learn that the killers made the two men kneel while they drained their blood. He also learns that the killers had no feet.

Madeline, not knowing that Gabriel is a Schatenjager and Mosely is a cop, asks them both what they are doing there. They come up with a cover story and then leave together. If you return to the armchair, the cops will be there.

In order to get an interview with Montreaux, Gabriel must pretend to be a wine critic who writes for the New York Times. Then, Montreaux will bend over backward to impress him.

You can try the other three fake IDs, but they will not work.

When Montreaux learns that Gabriel has no kids, he tells him that kids are the joy of his life. Gabriel says that he's not worried so much about the kids as he is about being married. Montreaux tells him that a wife's role is to serve you, to cater to your every need.

Montreaux tells Gabriel that his wine is made via lessons that he learned from his father. His father told him to visualize the perfect grape. Once you can do that, you can analyze even the best grape and see where it is lacking. Then you find a similarly near-perfect grape, but a grape that has all of the characteristics the first grape was lacking in and that the first grape has all the characteristics the second grape was lacking.

The marriage of these two grapes will produce an heir. Then the process is repeated over and over again. Supposedly, this is what makes his wine the best.

In reality, the wine has a secret ingredient.

Ra is the sun god. If you stand at the church at Rennes-les-Chateau and look east, the sun rises directly over Chateau de Blanchefort.

Answer: Pommes Bleu

When Grace broke into Chateau de Serras and met the crazy old lady, she said "Pommes Bleu Mademoiselle!" "Pommes Bleu!" and followed that with an evil witch's laugh. Grace ran for the exit, but then she finds something in Estelle and Lady Howard's parchments that references "Pommes Bleu!" again. "Pommes Bleu!" means "Blue Apples." "Blue Apples" are grapes.

Answer: Wilkes

Wilkes finds some satellite pictures. They take pictures of hollow areas underground, and there was a big one near Rennes-les-Chateau. Wilkes knew he was just about to find the treasure, and he thought he was about to be rich. And he thought the ladies would be crazy for a rich man.

He originally wanted to show his theory to Madeline, but Madeline was at Rennes-les-Bains and Wilkes did not know that, so he went to the next prettiest woman in the area, Grace. Grace didn't want to be with him, but he aggressively insisted. Grace decides to spend the evening with Wilkes to see what he discovered. Grace looks at his map and sees that Wilkes did indeed find the treasure.

But then, Wilkes tells Grace that the treasure is actually his penis. So Grace, using some special kind of take-down maneuver, tackles Wilkes and gets away. That wouldn't be the worst thing that happens to Wilkes.
