Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This is the campaign based around the infamous Tomb of the Nine Gods dungeon. However, one of these Nine Gods is the God that Chultans have worshipped for many years - this is evident by the various shrines crafted in their honor. Who is this God?

Answer: Ubtao

While Ubtao is not heavily involved in the storyline of this campaign, there are two important campaign tasks that involve Ubtao. The first one in "Shrines to Ubtao" can be completed by obtaining 175 Forgotten Totems and completing the "Hunting Batiri" quest, along with the "Dangers of Chult" campaign task. Completing this campaign task will increase your weekly limit of Forgotten Totem earnings by 25.

The second campaign task involving Ubtao will be "Blessings of Ubtao." To complete this one, you need all of the Advancement campaign tasks up to that point completed, and you need to have explored the House of the Crocodile.

This one is important because it is the campaign task which unlocks the vicious Tomb of the Nine Gods dungeon.
2. Having a look at the very beginning of this campaign's storyline, we run into a little bit of a hurdle. As the player and the other prominent NPCs attempt to traverse the Jungles of Chult and enter Port Nyanzaru, one NPC makes a mistake and is promptly killed because of it. A mission early in the campaign will involve you attempting to recover their corpse, so that a resurrection Spell may be attempted on them. Who is this NPC?

Answer: Celeste

Death comes very swiftly for Celeste; she abruptly becomes a welcome mat for a very large and angry Tyrannosaurus Rex, who crushes her underneath its foot, killing her instantly. Unfortunately, given the nature of the situation, the party is unable to save Celeste, as it is forced to flee from the massive onslaught of dinosaurs. Later, after the smoke has cleared, the player must travel back to the Jungle, into the Batiri camp in Yellyark, and save Celeste.

They get there in the nick of time too, as Batiri villagers were just preparing to cannibalize the corpse as the player shows up to defeat them.

The ensuing resurrection spell is successful. However, Celeste's horribly deformed face cannot be fixed. She is reasonably very angry about the transpiring of events, though she attempts to use her prayers to Selune as anti-stress mechanisms, hoping that Selune will return her to normal through prayer.
3. There is a mechanic that determines how quickly the player may earn boons and complete campaign tasks that is exclusive to itself. What is this mechanic?

Answer: The player earns campaign currency at a much faster, more flexible rate

Depending on how many Advancement campaign tasks the player has earned, they have a set amount of Forgotten Totems they're allowed to earn in a week. The maximum amount, achieved through the completion of "Dangers of Chult", "Shrines to Ubtao", and "House of the Crocodile", is 175, with the minimum being 100. Forgotten Totems are the common campaign currency used to unlock EVERYTHING, whether it be a boon, a campaign task, or the Tomb of the Nine Gods dungeon.

The other campaigns force the player to do daily quests to earn their respective currencies.

However, Jungles of Chult will continually give players quest every minute of the week until they've hit their cap. In theory, the player could take an hour and be done with the campaign for the entire week, while this option does not exist in other campaigns.

This offers revolutionary flexibility. Hypothetically, if a player had all day long to game on Monday, was too busy to make it online on Tuesday, but had plenty of time on Wednesday, Jungles of Chult is very forgiving to this type of schedule; the player would not be punished for not making it online on Tuesday under this campaign as they would on all other campaigns.

This flexibility was the driving force behind the incredibly positive response the overall game's unity reacted to this campaign with. That, and, the campaign is far less tedious than it's predecessors, especially Storm King's Thunder. If the player hit their Forgotten Totem maximum on a weekly basis, they could unlock Tomb of the Nine Gods and all of the campaign boons within a reasonable two month period. Juxtaposing that to Storm King's Thunder, it can take the average player up to as much as an entire year to unlock all of the campaign's dungeon/skirmishes and boons, in addition to the daily commitment this campaign forces.
4. We got to experience a taste of Treasure Chest hunting in the Sea of Moving Ice, as fishing up Treasure Maps could allow the player to receive bountiful rewards. How does one go about earning Treasure Maps, and who administers them in this campaign?

Answer: Prince Wakanga Otamu gives them out in exchange for completing his six weekly Patrol Quests

Fitting alongside with the Forgotten Totem cap, Merchant Prince Wakanga Otamu will administer six quests every week that involve the player patrolling the land of Chult. These quests can range from anything, such as the player voyaging via ship to do battle with undead pirates, the player travelling via Axe Beak into the jungle to fight the Yuan-Ti, or the player entering the Jungle via foot and going into, and cleaning up, a Temple full of various enemies.

In all of these quests, the player will also be tasked to recover Idols, Chests, or Maps. Upon completing the quest Wakanga Otamu gives them, he will reward the player with five Forgotten Totems and a Treasure Map.

The player may use the Treasure Map to hunt down Treasure in the Jungle of Chult.

The Treasure can range from useless junk to incredible end game equipment that can help the player immensely in Tomb of the Nine Gods. In fact, some of this end game gear can prove essential to successfully running this dungeon later down the road. That being said, after the sixth quest of this variety, Wakanga Otamu will stop giving Treasure Maps out, and will resume doing so on the Monday of the following week.
5. In order to travel across the Soshenstar River, the player will need to obtain a boat. How does the player do this?

Answer: They must receive one at the Sea of Moving Ice

The very same boat used to travel the Sea of Moving Ice is the boat used here. That means you cannot skip over the entire Storm King's Thunder campaign to come to this one. In order to upgrade your boat and fishing pole, you must obtain Treasure Maps at SOMI and cross your fingers, hoping one of them eventually leads you to an upgraded boat or fishing pole.
6. The King of Spines is one difficult dinosaur to take down, to the point where a party of 6+ people will be required to do it. Once you engage him, another group of enemies will emerge and engage your party in combat. Who is this group?

Answer: Batiri

The Batiri will attempt to intervene on the King of Spines' behalf. However, the two forces are certainly not friends. This is made clear when the Batiri leader condemns the player's actions, stating that they themselves want to be the ones to kill the King of Spines.
7. The infamous Death Curse is the centerpoint of this campaign. Prince Wakanga Otamu will ask the player to help them figure out what the cause of this Curse is. Who is the primary cause of creating this Curse?

Answer: Ras Nsi

Ras Nsi, the leader of the Yuan-Ti Tribe, is the primary antagonist in this campaign. He can only be stopped through the completion of the Tomb of the Nine Gods, a task which is truly arduous.
8. Deep inside the Jungle, a familiar group of antagonists is spotted. There is no imminently known reason as to why they are here, but they're back. What group of baddies is spotted right outside the Camp Vengeance?

Answer: Thayans

A handful of Thayan Red Wizards and a few Servitors are spotted. Based on the orders the Red Wizards give the Servitors, it seems like they might be here for Treasure hunting, but this is only implied. They are bulkier and harder hitting than the Red Wizards at Dread Ring, but they are still not going to be very difficult to take down.
9. Is it reasonably possible to travel the Jungles of Chult alone?

Answer: Yes

For new players, Chult can be quite overwhelming at first. It is definitely not like other maps. The map isn't as open, given that it is a massive Jungle, and the enemies are more ravenous and quantitative than before. Dinosaurs are ferocious, fast, and will de-mount you very quickly, so riding out of their sight is important if you want to get where you're going in a reasonable amount of time.

The quests can prove challenging for new players, but experienced ones can get through them fairly easily. That being said, it will prove to be unreasonably tedious to travel through here if you do not at least have an Epic Mount; Mounts of lesser quality travel much too slowly to elude the area's enemies, and you will end up getting into long, drawn out conflict every few minutes without an Epic Mount.

It is recommended that you have an Item Level of at least 12,000 before coming to Chult, but lesser Item Levelled classes with self-healing options, such as Guardian Fighters and Oathbound Paladins, can potentially get away with managing in this Map.
10. Of the following types of Yuan-Ti, which one will consistently prove to be the most dangerous?

Answer: Dancer

Dancers will ultimately prove to be the most threatening type of Yuan-Ti, and must be eliminated quickly. The reason for this is simple; they have a lethal Control power that can completely deprive the player of the ability to control their character for up to five seconds.

This five seconds can prove lethal, as it gives surrounding enemies all the time in the world to attack uninterrupted, to gain Combat Advantage, or both. What's worse is that the Dancer's Power cannot be shielded through, it cannot be dodged via a timely dash, and there is no equipment, boon, or spell that can counter or remove this power. Meanwhile, the other Yuan-Ti are ultimately threatening in their own right, but a Guardian Fighter or Oathbound Paladin with their shield up will ultimately have little trouble handling them, while Hunter Rangers and Scourge Warlocks can just stand at a distance away, pegging them with their projectiles uninterrupted,
