Morticia hopes the couple are imaginative and Gomez, knowing they are newlyweds, thinks they are romantic. They then begin to reminisce about when they moved into the house (contradicting a future episode about how they met) thinking it was haunted.

We next see the wife complaining that she was married by the justice of the peace, no honeymoon, and now has to spend her honeymoon in a house overlooking the Addams's house.

Answer: Washing the octopus

Gomez was complaining that they should have just gone next door to introduce themselves, but Morticia was concerned that would be too forward of them. So they were out in the yard washing the octopus in a steel tub. We learn the newlyweds are Hubert and Amanda Peterson when they introduce themselves to find out what the explosions are.

Answer: Exchanged recipes

Morticia seems like she wanted another woman her age to talk with, having tried inviting the Ladies League members in a previous episode and then in this episode lamenting that she wished Amanda was someone she could have exchanged recipes with. But Amanda was a bit 'odd' and high-strung in Morticia's view.

Answer: Uncle Fester comes up through a trap door

Herbert begins trying to hang a picture but there's a knocking noise, so Herbert and Amanda try to figure out where it's coming from. Eventually they locate a trap door - and Uncle Fester comes up! Amanda smacks him in the head with a frying pan and tells Herbert to nail it shut. Just as she starts to leave, Mr. Wentworth, their realtor, arrives - with the signed lease.

Herbert asks how they can cancel the lease but Mr. Wentworth suggests they talk to the landlord... Gomez Addams.

Answer: Gomez and Morticia wanted to remain calm, Uncle Fester and Mama wanted to kill them

Mama was sharpening her axe and Uncle Fester had his gun. Morticia was a bit annoyed that Uncle Fester had knocked on Pugsley's tunnel door into the neighbor's house before he opened it, but both she and Gomez wanted to remain calm. After all, Gomez had signed the lease for a year.

When someone came to the door, Uncle Fester and Mama went out to the backyard to practice 'just in case'. It wasn't the neighbors at the door, it was Mr. Wentworth, the realtor, with news that the couple wanted to break the lease.

Answer: Invite them over for bridge

Morticia believes a game of bridge will relax them after Gomez thinks a game of cards on their wedding night isn't a good idea. Morticia sends Lurch over to invite them and insists that Lurch use the front door and NOT Pugsley's tunnel.

Answer: Bull frog

When she does the bull frog, he says it drives him wild and makes him feel like honeymooning himself. But Morticia insists: cards first, bull frog later.

Answer: Butter them up to break the lease

Amanda really doesn't want to go, but Herbert believes if they go play cards, they can butter up the Addamses and then Gomez will let them break the lease. Herbert tells her to just be pleasant, say nothing, and smile - no matter what happens.

Answer: Bear rug

When she enters the main room, Amanda steps on the bear rug, which roars. But then she notices the monstrosity - er, the unusual decoration (the fish eating the leg). Herbert says they love it and it really tells a story. Morticia gives it to the couple.

Next, they notice the two-headed turtle. Herbert calls it cute and says two heads are better than one. Gomez gives that to the couple.

Then Gomez notices the couple is fascinated by Pierre - the moose over the mantle - and throws him in for good measure, too. Morticia says that Pierre would be lonely with turtle gone.

But then Thing appears and puts down a car for Amanda and Morticia smokes (without any tobacco products)... and that was it: the Petersons ran out of the house, leaving Morticia and Gomez to try and figure out what they had done wrong.

Answer: Buys the company

In the final scene, Morticia tells Gomez that the Petersons had put all the items the Addamses had given them on the front lawn of the Addams house. (Gomez thinks it was just too much for them to accept.) Morticia then reminds him it's been three days since they had seen either of them, but Gomez reminds her it's their honeymoon so she decides they are probably hungry and will leave the couple a casserole at their front door.

Gomez has had enough of this talk about the Petersons and asks her to do the bull frog.
