Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How do Dr. Rosen's patients pay for her services?

Answer: donation

Dr. Laura Rosen had her license to practice medicine revoked because she became addicted to stims, resulting in the death of one of her patients. She found the device on an alien world and is now using it to heal patients in Downbelow. Since many of these people can't afford treatment, it is donation only and the patients give what they can.
2. Lennier mentioned to Londo that most of his knowledge of other races came from books. Where did Londo take him to give him a more practical education?

Answer: Dark Star

Londo was instructed by his government to promote good relations with the other races on the station. In order to fulfill this obligation he took Lennier on a night out at the Dark Star bar and casino where he showed him the pleasures of exotic dancers and poker.
3. What was the sentence given to Karl Edward Mueller when convicted of murder by Ombuds Wellington?

Answer: death of personality

Mueller was convicted of killing two station residents and a security officer. Garibaldi wanted to have him spaced since he believed that he had killed before and should be more severely punished so he wouldn't do it again. The mind wipe erases the victims memories and personality, who is then reprogrammed to be a kind, productive member of society.
4. Finish the quote: "Here you will see the ________ and soul of Babylon 5. Also its __________, its __________...a veritable parade of internal organs."

Answer: heart spleen kidneys

This is part of Londo's description of the racier parts of Babylon 5. They are sitting at the edge of the stage where a dancer is dancing and Lennier is looking quite shocked. The drinks arrive and Lennier explains the effects of alcohol on Minbari to Londo, who quickly changes Lennier's order to water.
5. Who discovers that Franklin is running an unauthorized medical clinic in downbelow?

Answer: Ivanova

Ivanova walks into the clinic while Franklin's back is turned. Unaware that Ivanova has just walked into the room instead of the next patient, he says: "You can start by removing your clothes." Ivanova replies: "Not without dinner and flowers." They then break into a discussion on the illegal nature of the clinic. Franklin defends himself by saying that these people can't afford medical treatment, and this is the only way they'll get. Ivanova says that she won't shut down the clinic, although she wants to be kept informed next time.
6. How many Minbari dialects and subtongues can Lennier speak?

Answer: 97

Lennier relates this information to Londo while boring him with the details of his education.
7. What Earth game did Londo teach Lennier to play?

Answer: poker

While describing his education, Lennier says that he has a rank of Master Adept at probability. Londo suddenly gets the idea to introduce him to poker, which was a good choice since Lennier begins to rake in the chips as his learning comes in handy. During the game, Lennier continually broadcasts the odds of the combination of cards he is receiving. Londo tries to get Lennier to keep silent, saying that he would win more money if he kept his mouth shut.
8. What does Mueller call the people he has killed?

Answer: his choir

When Talia is doing the preliminary scan before the mind wipe, she discovers that Garibaldi was right...Mueller had killed many other people. Mueller explains that the voices of all of his victims are a choir that he is building. He wants to gather enough voices to sing himself to heaven.
9. What terminal illness is Dr. Rosen suffering from?

Answer: Lake's Syndrome

Dr. Rosen is suffering from Lakes's Syndrome, and has only about 3 years to live. Stafford's Disease was mentioned earlier in the episode as a disease that the device can cure. Netter's Syndrome is the disease that Lennier made up in the episode "Convictions." Drafa Plague is what killed all the Markabs in the episode "Confessions and Lamentations."
10. Was Mueller's sentence carried out?

Answer: No, died before it could be

Mueller escapes from security and is hit by a PPG in the process. He goes to Downbelow and forces Dr. Rosen to use the device to heal him. She reverses the flow of the machine, killing him and curing herself.
11. Who is the Centauri goddess of passion?

Answer: Li

Li is a synthesis of male and female anatomy and the statues shows that the male Centauri have six long tentesticles. It was one of these tentesticles that Londo used to cheat, starting the fight in the Dark Star. Morgoth is the god of the underworld and protector of front doors, Ilaros is the goddess of luck and Venzen is the god of food.
12. Who said the following quote: "I did the necessary thing. That is not always the same as the right thing."

Answer: Dr. Rosen

After Dr. Rosen was found not guilty of murder (since she killed Karl Muller in self-defense), she said the quote in response to Janice's comment: "You heard Mr. Garibaldi. You did the right thing." As a doctor, Laura Rosen believes that the loss of any life is wrong, even if it was self-defense.
13. After the fight that Londo and Lennier get into, the following line is said...who said it: "I'm still waiting for an explanation, gentlemen."

Answer: Sinclair

This is the beginning of a great set of quotes between Sinclair and Londo --- Sinclair: "I'm still waiting for an explanation, gentlemen." Londo: "Yes, and I am prepared to give you one, Commander...as soon as the room stops spinning." Sinclair: "This station creates gravity by rotation. It never stops spinning." Londo: "You begin to see my problem, hmm?"
14. There is a common saying, "Minbari do not lie." According to Lennier, is this correct?

Answer: No, they lie to protect the honor of another

In this episode Lennier claims that he was the cause of the fight since he didn't understand the rules. By doing this he protects Londo's honor because Londo's cheating will not become public.
15. Who said the following line: "I'm going to take a vow of silence concerning this entire conversation."

Answer: Lennier

Lennier asked Londo what the appendage was that Londo was using to cheat. Londo replies in a whisper that we cannot hear and then he shows Lennier the statue of Li. A rather embarrassed Lennier says the above line.
