Strange but true, Ryan never won a Cy Young in his great career. He placed 2nd to Jim Palmer of the Orioles in 1972. Newcombe was the first recepient of the Cy Young in 1956, and Koufax was the first to win 3 Cy Young Awards. Clemens won 3 with the Red Sox (1986, 1987, 1991), two with Toronto in 1997 and 1998, and another with the Yankees in 2001.
