1. How many cooperative missions are there in the Ring of Fire Island Chain?

From Quiz "Guild Wars: Prophecies" - Ring of Fire Islands

Answer: Three

When players arrive at the Ring of Fire Islands after completing Thunderhead Keep, the only quest, "Final Blow", is available at Ember Light Camp. This quest leads players through Perdition Rock to the first of the three missions, Ring of Fire. Completing this mission will advance players to the Abaddon's Mouth mission. The final mission in this area, and in the game, is Hell's Precipice, where the Lich must be killed to prevent the surge of Titans from crossing into this world.

Answer: Three

The quest, "Seeking the Seer", obtained in Droknar's Forge, will lead players through Talus Chute to the first of the three missions in the Southern Shiverpeaks, Ice Caves of Sorrow. The follow-up mission is Iron Mines of Moladune, where players can get their armour infused (protection against the Mursaat skill Spectral Agony). The third and final mission in this area is Thunderhead Keep, and must be completed in order to advance the storyline. Completion of this mission will send players to the last region in Tyria, the Ring of Fire Island Chain.

Answer: Five

The primary quest, "Sands of Souls", obtained in The Amnoon Oasis, leads players to Augury Rock. From there, players must travel to each of the three desert missions: Dunes of Despair, Elona Reach, and Thirsty River. Completion of these three missions will change Augury Rock from an outpost to a mission location. The Augury Rock mission is a solo mission, and the player must defeat their Doppelganger, who will use the same build as the player. Upon killing the Doppelganger, the player will be Ascended, and will arrive at The Dragon's Lair, the last of the missions in the Crystal Desert.

The quest, "A Brother's Fury", obtained in Druid's Overlook, leads to the first mission in the Jungle, The Wilds. The following two missions are Bloodstone Fen and Aurora Glade. Upon completion of Aurora Glade, players will end up at the Henge of Denravi, where a quest will lead them to the Krytan mission of Riverside Province.

The first mission, Gates of Kryta, is just a short walk south-west of the entrance to the Shiverpeak Mountains at Griffon's Mouth. D'Alessio Seaboard and Divinity Coast follow soon afterwards. Later, after players have traversed the highs and lows of the Maguuma Jungle, they return to Kryta in the Riverside Province and Sanctum Cay missions.

Yak's Bend is the first outpost in the Northern Shiverpeak Mountains, and is also the first location where a 6-player party can be formed. A variety of quests originate from here, and several crafters are available for weapons and armour. The Shiverpeak Arena can also be accessed from this outpost, where players up to Level 15 can battle others, PvP-style.

The Amnoon Oasis is the only home to living NPCs in the entire Crystal Desert, as all of the other locations in the area are occupied by spirits. Once players have completed the Krytan mission, 'Sanctum Kay', they will be sent to this location in the southeast of Tyria. The Amnoon Arena is also connected to this area, but it is only accessible if you make your way through the Random/Team Arenas.

From Quiz Getting Lost in Maguuma Jungle

Answer: Druid's Overlook

Druid's Overlook is in the more desert-like area of the Maguuma Jungle and it ill send you on your way through the western-most points of Tyria. If you do not choose to complete the Divinity Coast mission, you'll have a long walk ahead of you. Starting from the Temple of Ages, you'll need to travel west through four different explorable areas to reach this outpost.

Lion's Arch isn't only a major center for players in Kryta, but it's the main port in Tyria, allowing people to travel between continents to and fro between the city. Here, players with the "Factions" and "Nightfall" campaigns will be able to accept missions taking them to their respective continents. It is also allows players to continue the main quest after accepting and completing the first Krytan mission and crossing the Northern Shiverpeaks.

Yak's Bend is the major city that you will visit in the Northern Shiverpeaks, and it is one of the furthest locations to the east in this mountain range. The area is home to the Shiverpeak Arena as well as many traders which will sell higher-ranking armor and weapons. When you first arrive here, there are many different quest-givers, some of which will be specific to your profession, so you have a chance to learn new spells.

From Quiz Journey Through Ascalon

Answer: Ascalon City

Ascalon City is the first major city in Ascalon, and following the Searing event, all of the green lands of Ascalon are transformed into a disgusting wasteland. By talking to Meghan, one can gain access to the Ascalon Arena, which existed in the pre-searing era as Ascalon Academy. From this city, one can complete and begin various quests as well as reach the first mission of the game.

From Quiz Where in Tyria Are We?

Answer: Piken Square

Piken Square is quite close to Ascalon City, but to access it, we need to head through the ruins of Old Ascalon and the tar-filled remains of The Breach to the west. The area is home to numerous quests which will greatly benefit warriors and rangers in terms of skills and weapon rewards. Quests from this area will take us all around the desolate wastelands of Ascalon, which were destroyed following the event known as the Searing.

Ember Light Camp is the only outpost in this region, and as such, is the only way of accessing Perdition Rock. The skill trainer, Dakk, in Ember Light Camp knows every single skill for each of the core professions, which makes him a popular choice for players wanting to purchase skills that may aid them in their final fight against the Mursaat, the Titans and the Lich.

Answer: Mineral Springs

Prince Rurik wielded the Fiery Dragon Sword, which dealt fire damage. The Icy Dragon Sword looks similar to this sword, but is coloured blue and deals cold damage. Before the 4th Anniversary update, Icy Dragon Swords could only be obtained as drops from Ice Imps in Mineral Springs. However, with the addition of Nicholas the Traveler and his Gifts, an Icy Dragon Sword is a possible reward for opening one of the gifts.

Answer: Lion's Arch

Lion's Arch once housed the royal family of Kryta, but after the Charr invasion, the White Mantle roe to power and took over the city, using it as a base. The buildings were razed, and converted in store houses and barracks for the members of the White Mantle. Only a few of the Lionguard, the protectors of the royal family, remain. Lion's Arch is the port city of Tyria, meaning this is the place where travel to other continents is possible.

Verata is a powerful Necromancer who is highly proficient in the area of corpse exploitation and minion summoning, which is possibly why some minion related skills are named after him. Lakeside County is the very first explorable area that new players enter, and is where the first enemies are encountered and the first skills are learned. There are four explorable areas that are connected to Lakeside County: Green Hills County to the northwest, The Northlands to the north (hence the name), Regent Valley to the southeast, and Wizard's Folly to the southwest. Also, Ascalon City and Ashford Abbey are outposts that can be accessed from this area.

At one point during your desert trek, you will be able to complete three separate missions in any order. On of these (probably with the most difficult bonus mission) is Dunes of Despair in the southwest of the Crystal Desert. This mission is only accessible if you make your way through Vulture Drifts. During this mission, you will need to protect a Ghostly Hero as he performs a ritual in the center of a slew of enemies. For the bonus, you'll need to strategize and send some party members into the surrounding desert ruins to defeat three Forgotten Generals and their bodyguards.

From Quiz Getting Lost in Maguuma Jungle

Answer: The Wilds

After taking the 'Brother's Fury' quest from Druid's Overlook, you'll be led to The Wilds, toward the northern end of the Maguuma Jungle. Here, you'll need to chase after the traitorous Shining Blade as they take the Chosen to be killed in the jungle. Once you reach the end of the line, you'll discover that the Shining Blade are actually the good guys- it's the White Mantle who are simply sacrificing the Chosen.

From Quiz Cutting Through Kryta

Answer: Hakewood

In the very beginning of this Krytan mission (the second, chronologically) you'll need to head to Hakewood to clear out the undead beings that are attacking the area. Benji will be attacked by 'boss'. Once you've saved Benji, you'll need to have one party member carry an offering to the Shrine of Melandru. Along the way though, you'll need to fight off the near-endless onslaught of evil beings that are tormenting Confessor Dorian. In the end of this mission, you must obtain the Scepter of Orr.

From Quiz Journey Through Ascalon

Answer: Helm

Along with the Greaves, Pauldron, and Crest, players must also find Kilnn's Cuisse in the bonus portion of this mission. The main part of this mission involves traveling to the northern-most portion of the area to watch the oncoming army invade the area. Then, you have to beat the clock to reach Captain Calhaan and warn him of the oncoming forces. After this mission you'll be placed in Fort Ranik.

From Quiz Where in Tyria Are We?

Although all of the selectable choices are Crystal Desert missions, all of them are completed prior to Augury Rock, where we must set forth and face off against the ultimate enemy- ourselves. Perdition Rock is a rocky, almost impassable area that houses some of the toughest foes in the game. The fearsome Flesh Golems, and the deadly Mahgo Hydra will pose quite a threat to the unprepared party. Interruption of the Hydra's powerful Meteor Shower and Meteor are the key to getting through this area quickly and safely. There are many bosses in this region, but can be difficult to get to. However, their Elite Skills are among the best in the game.

The Ghostly Hero can be met for the first time in The Amnoon Oasis, and offers players the quest, "Sands of Souls". The Hero then turns up again in each of the three Desert missions. If encountered on their own, Thorn Stalkers will not pose much of a threat when using Stoning, but if a Fevered Devourer is in the battle, the Weakness caused by the Devourer will trigger a knock-down when the Stalker uses Stoning.
