Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Walt received the phone call that he had been expecting: Jesse had awoken to find Jane dead. Who went to help clean up Jesse's place?

Answer: Saul's associate

Walt was in his living room, holding baby Holly, and waiting for Jesse's call. Walt told him to calm down and that he knew who to call. Shortly after that, a car pulled up in front of Jesse's place, and the man told Jesse that Saul Goodman had sent him. We'd later find out that his name was Mike Ehrmantraut. Mike put on gloves and went to work, cleaning up any evidence of drugs in the place while Jesse crouched in the living room.

Besides removing the drugs and the money, he coached Jesse on what to do when he called 911.

He also told Jesse to put on a long-sleeved shirt to hide the needle marks on his arms. Did you catch the blooper? As Mike looked at Jane's body while he blew into his glove, you could see her stomach rise as she breathed!
2. Jane's father was driving to her house to pick her up when he saw the ambulance parked out front and found out she was dead. Where had he been planning to take her?

Answer: Rehab

In the last episode, he had discovered that Jane was doing drugs again after her 18-month sobriety, and he wanted to take her to rehab right then, but she pleaded with him for a day to get her affairs in order. As he was driving to pick her up, he called her on his cell phone and left a message, telling her that she'd better be packed and on the porch when he got there.

But as he pulled up, he saw the paramedics taking the stretcher out of the ambulance, and the look on his face said it all: he knew.

He watched in distraught silence as they put Jane in a body bag. He was too shell-shocked to even react to Jesse.
3. Walt had been keeping his second cell phone in the ceiling tiles at school, but now he had it in the house. Where did he hide it?

Answer: In the toilet tank

As Skyler and Flynn were watching the donations roll in on the "SaveWalterWhite" website that Flynn had set up, Walt was in the bathroom, trying to get hold of Jesse. He retrieved the cell phone from a plastic bag that had been floating in the toilet tank and then called Jesse but got his voice mail. Apparently since he would be out of work for a while due to his upcoming surgery, he decided he needed to keep the phone at home.
4. After Jane's death, Walt couldn't reach Jesse, so he asked Saul to have his guy track Jesse down. Where did they find Jesse?

Answer: A crack house

Saul's guy, Mike, took Walt to a crack house where he had located Jesse. He told Walt that the place was well known to the Albuquerque police and that they could be watching it. "How about you go on home, Walter? Let me handle this", Mike advised, but Walt went in to get Jesse himself.

He found him passed out on the floor and tried to get him to stand up, but Jesse collapsed and began to cry. Walt comforted him, and when Jesse cried, "I killed her", Walt told him he didn't kill anyone. Later we found out that Walt took Jesse to a New-Age type of rehabilitation center called Serenity (the scene was actually filmed at the Jar Spa at the Isleta Resort and Casino).

When Walt visited him there, he told Jesse that he was having his surgery and that if anything went wrong, Jesse could contact Saul to get his money.
5. Walt arrived home after visiting Jesse and found a news crew at his house. Who were they there to interview?

Answer: Flynn

Flynn's "SaveWalterWhite" website was raking in donations for Walt's surgery, and Marie had mentioned it to one of her patients, who worked for the Albuquerque Journal. Originally, the paper was planning to do an article about Flynn, but Marie pushed to get a television interview instead, to Walt's chagrin. Flynn reported that the site had raised more than $6,000 "but there's more coming in all the time". Walt had to sit next to Flynn during the interview and hear Flynn say that he was "decent and he always does the right thing".
6. Hank set out a donation jar at the DEA office to collect funds for Walt's surgery. Which visitor/sponsor of the DEA's Fun Run made a donation to the cause while getting a tour of the office?

Answer: Gus Fring

Hank set up the donation jar and told his team that the biggest donation would get a 6-pack of SchraderBrau, his home-brewed beer. "The smallest donation gets two 6-packs", added Gomez. Later, Hank met Gustavo Fring when he was visiting the office since his company was one of three that were underwriting the office's annual Fun Run. Fring and two other contributors were getting a tour of the DEA office and Hank then gave them an update on his operations, to which Fring responded that the meth problem was terrible. Fring then noticed the donation container with Walt's picture on it and asked about it, wondering if it was for one of Hank's agents.

When Hank explained that it was for his brother-in-law, Fring put money in the container. Given his caution in dealing with Walt, you'd suspect that Fring had researched Walt and knew that his brother-in-law was with the DEA, but maybe not.
7. When Walt was getting ready for his surgery, he was given a drug to relax him. What revelation did he make to Skyler while he was drifting off?

Answer: He had two cell phones.

After the nurse administered the drug, Walt hugged Skyler and Flynn, and when Flynn asked him if he was relaxed, Walt drowsily replied, "I don't know what this stuff is but it's pretty great". Skyler then took his glasses, but when she asked for his phone, he said, "Which one?" Skyler turned and stared at him - the truth was out. Later when Skyler told him about it, he claimed he made the statement because of the medication: "I could have said the world was flat".

But Skyler told him that he "accidentally told the truth".
8. Jane's father returned to work, telling a co-worker that "after a certain point, time off doesn't help". What was his occupation?

Answer: Air traffic controller

Jane's father had returned to her home to get an outfit for her funeral. The person he was talking to on the phone had recommended a yellow dress, but he couldn't find it; he said that most of the clothes in her closet were black. He did find a blue dress with long sleeves that he thought was suitable.

When he returned to work, he met a co-worker in the breakroom who offered his condolences. Jane's father explained that he would rather be there to "focus on work". He then told the co-worker that he'd "see [him] inside", which turned out to be in the air traffic control room.
9. After returning home from Walt's post-surgery check-up toward the end of the episode, what news did Skyler deliver to Walt?

Answer: She wanted him to move out.

Skyler seemed a bit distracted during the appointment; her main concern was in knowing when Walt would be able to be left on his own. When they returned home, she packed a bag and told Walt that she was spending the weekend at Hank and Marie's home and that she wanted him to move out.

Besides finding out that he had lied about having a second cell phone, she had also discovered that he had lied about getting money from Gretchen and Elliot for his treatment and about going to see his mother. Walt asked her if she'd stay if he told her the truth, but Skyler said, "Whatever it is, I'm afraid to know".
10. At the end of the episode, what event caused the scorched pink bear to end up in Walt's swimming pool?

Answer: Two planes collided overhead.

Back at work at the airport, Jane's father lost focus while he provided instructions to aircraft; he was sweating and at one point, when contacting a plane with a "J" in its call sign, he referred to it as Jane instead of Juliet. He stared at the screen as two planes were headed on a collision course. Meanwhile, Walt was sitting in his backyard next to the pool. Skyler had just left, and he was deep in thought, but the explosion overhead jolted him back to life.

He looked up to see the debris falling from the sky with the pink bear plunging into his pool.
