The student was failing chemistry and wanted Walt to let him pass with a 58% so that he wouldn't have to go to summer school. Walt said no and told him to apply himself. After the student left, Walt checked to make sure he was alone and then retrieved the cell phone from the ceiling tiles of the room.

He reached Jesse's answering machine for the third time. He told Jesse he'd leave the phone on for the next fifteen minutes. He thought that Jesse might be avoiding him because he had told Jesse to handle the situation involving Skinny Pete's stolen cash, so he told Jesse not to worry about it and "let it go".

Answer: Jesse's dad

Walt was banging repeatedly on Jesse's door with no response, which brought Jane out. She told him she was the manager, so Walt asked her to open the door with a master key. Walt then told her that he was Jesse's father. "You're Mr. Jackson?" she asked. Walt said that he was "Walt Jackson". Jane offered to let him use her phone to call Jesse, but said she wasn't going to get involved in family issues, and she wasn't going to let him in.

Then Jesse opened the door: "Come on in... Dad".

Answer: National Atomic Museum

While Walt was at Jesse's place, interrogating him on the events at the addicts' house, Jesse's phone rang, and it was Badger telling him that they had "those pants you wanted - 32 large". Walt asked Jesse if he was "going to get back up on that horse", but Jesse just curled up in his blanket. Walt ending up meeting the crew at the museum in his Heisenberg persona. Skinny Pete said that he remembered him, "you're the cook". Later in the episode, Jesse met the crew at the same museum.

The museum is real; it is now known as the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History and is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Museum.

Answer: He didn't speak Spanish.

One of the El Paso DEA agents, Vanco, had a statue of Jesús Malverde, the patron saint of Mexican drug dealers, on his desk. When Hank questioned him about it ("Going after Neo Nazis, you don't wear swastikas, right?"), Vanco paraphrased Sun Tzu's "The Art of War": "If you know your enemy as yourself, you'll fight without danger in many battles". Hank quickly realized that everyone spoke Spanish there; he laughed along with their jokes but had no idea what they were saying. Later, when the agents met with the informant Tortuga, Tortuga complained to Vanco that the "new guy don't speak Spanish". "Hey, white boy, better learn Español, huh.

This ain't Branson, Missouri", Tortuga said to Hank. The other agents used Hank's lack of Spanish to talk about him in front of him.

When Hank asked what they were talking about, they said they were singing his praises.

Answer: Her old job in accounting

Skyler was applying for a data-entry position, but the other applicants and the receptionist seemed to pay more attention to her pregnancy. When Skyler noticed one of the applicants staring at her belly, she claimed that she had had a big lunch. Skyler told the receptionist that she used to work at Beneke and asked to see Ted Beneke, but the receptionist said that he was busy. Skyler ignored the receptionist and tapped on Ted's window.

He invited her in, to the chagrin of the receptionist. When Skyler told him that she was applying for a data-entry position, he asked her if she'd rather have her old job back in accounting since she was their "go-to bookkeeper", and she accepted the position.

Answer: Blowfish

When Walt met with the crew at the museum, Badger asked him if it was true that Jesse had killed the addict with the ATM machine. Skinny Pete said that "it's all over town" and that everyone was paying up without having to be badgered for the money. Badger asked if he really did it, and Walt responded, "You didn't hear that from me".

When Walt went back to Jesse's place, he told him that that word was out that he crushed the addict's skull and that it was a great reputation for his competitors to hear about. Walt told him that like Jesse, blowfish were "small in stature" and "easy prey for predators" but that they had the secret weapon of being able to puff up several times larger than normal to make themselves intimidating and scare off the other fish. "That's you, you are a blowfish", said Walt, "It's all an illusion.

It's nothing but air". When Walt asked him who messed with the blowfish, Jesse responded "nobody". He eventually bought into Walt's hype, stating he was a blowfish.

Answer: Items from a "Skymall" catalog

The agents met with Tortuga in a motel room, lighting his cigar and joking with him in Spanish. He asked Hank to give him the "Skymall" catalog, but Hank didn't understand him so one of the other agents handed it to Tortuga. Tortuga went through the catalog, ordering items such as Derek Jeter signed baseball and a hundred-dollar-bill floor runner (he wanted twenty of those, but Vanco bargained him down to five). Hank grew impatient with catering to the informant and started pushing him for information. Tortuga explained that his name meant "turtle" and that "I take my time, but I always win". That reminded Tortuga to order two turtle garden sculptures from the catalog. Later Hank joked with the agents that they could give him other catalogs, such as "Sharper Image" and "Pottery Barn".

Answer: He had made a pass at Skyler before.

Marie was drinking a glass of wine and chatting with Skyler while Skyler made dinner, when Skyler broke the news about her new/old job. Marie was shocked that someone would hire her "as big as you are". When Skyler told her that her job was at Beneke Fabrication, Marie asked if "Mr. Grabby Hands" was still there.

She called him that because he hit on Skyler at a Christmas party. Skyler said that he was married now with a family and that he wouldn't want to get sued for sexual harassment so it wasn't going to happen again.

Answer: Attached to a tortoise

Hank spotted something moving in the valley and called to the other agents, "Is that your guy? Hey I think that's your guy." When Hank finally focused his binoculars, he realized it was just Tortuga's head moving slowly along the ground, and when the agents got closer, they saw that the head had been attached to the shell of a tortoise.

The words "Hola DEA" had also been painted on the tortoise shell. The bloody sight of the head unnerved Hank, and he backed away, saying that he was getting an evidence bag.

Answer: It exploded.

The agents were laughing at Hank, and Vanco said, "What's the matter, Schrader? You act like you never saw a severed human head on a tortoise before." Hank had gone back to one of the vehicles, opened the door and tried to catch his breath. When one of the Mexican agents went to pick up Tortuga's head, it exploded, killing several agents and severing Vanco's leg.

The truck window near Hank shattered, but he was OK, and he went to help with the injured, using his belt as a tourniquet on Vanco.
