Fuzzy McGee is Al's favorite western star. However, no one else cares about Fuzzy's death and only Al and Fuzzy's horse attend the funeral. Al attempts to purchase the burial plot next to Fuzzy so he can be buried next to his hero when he dies. His plans are complicated by two things: Peggy's desires and the fact that Fuzzy wanted to be buried next to his horse.

Bud deposits a $25,000 scholarship check that he intends to use to pay for tuition and board at the local college. However, Al and Peg see the money and think the bank made in error. Al takes a job as a mall Santa to earn extra money for Christmas. After work, he goes to a bar frequented by mall Santas. He gets drunk and passes out only to wake up and learn the other Santas put their drinks on Al's tab. Al is furious and takes items from the bar as gifts for his family. She winds up sleeping with Bud who does not know Janey is the bride. Meanwhile, Al and Peggy argue over what outfit Peggy should wear to the wedding.

Marcy and Jefferson have a fight over Jefferson's spending habits, specifically him using her credit card. At the fishing cabin, Peggy and Marcy immediately getting into a huge fight over petty things and completely ruin Al's vacation. Meanwhile, Bud and Kelly convince Jefferson to get even with Marcy by using her credit card to buy them things.

Kelly is feeling old as her work at the diner is taking its toll on her. She also feels uncool as she thinks Bud has become more popular than her. She decides to purchase a motorcycle to recapture her youth. Meanwhile, Al is upset because learns a customer he found attractive actually turns out to be a man.

In her spare time, Peggy doodles a drawing of a character she calls Mr. Empty Pants. He is a loser, very much like Al. Marcy convinces her to get it published in magazines, which Peggy does. The cartoon is an instant hit. However, everyone in town recognizes Al as Mr. Empty Pants. Al is embarrassed and demands Peg stop drawing the cartoon.

However, Al is pleased to discover that "Playgirl" magazine wants him to be the centerfold. Peggy, unable to handle Al's happiness, kills off Mr. Empty Pants before the photo shoot.

Bud goes on a trashy dating show called "You Can't Miss". He earns a date with an attractive girl named Candy in the first round after beating out two even bigger losers than Bud. However, in the final round, Candy dumps Bud for the attractive model named Rodrigo. However, Bud's passionate speech to Candy earns him the attention of many other attractive women in town.

Peggy tells Seven a bedtime story which is an adaption of the romantic pirate story Peggy is reading. As she reads the story, the action is played out before the audience. Scarlet (Peggy) a princess is captured by a pirate named Captain Courage (Al). Despite Captain Courage's grotesque habits, Scarlet falls for him even though she is supposed to be engaged to Prince Paco (Jefferson). Prince Paco captures Courage's ship but falls for the Cabin Boy Girl (Marcy) instead.

Rubio the Cruel, who also invades Courage's ship, is played by Marcy's ex, Steve in a special guest appearance by David Garrison. Rubio the Cruel is a singing pirate whose songs annoy everyone. Bud plays a hunchback named Fluvio and Kelly plays Courage's incompetent navigator.

This episode marks the last appearance of Seven. He proved to be unpopular and his disappearance from the show was never explained. In a future episode, a quick joke appears. Seven is seen on the side of a milk carton indicating that he went missing.

Al is mistaken for a senior citizen at the movie theater and begins receiving senior discounts all over town. He is invited to compete in Chicago's Senior Olympics. Al expects to win since he is much younger than the competitors. However, he performs poorly on the first day of competition. On the second, he performs much better and wins the entire tournament.

Initially, Al intends to let another competitor win but changes his mind when he sees the shiny trophy.
