Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Where are Homer's lost keys in the beginning of the episode?

Answer: The front door

In the beginning of the episode, Homer has lost his car keys and Bart watches in amusement as his father tears apart the living room looking for them. Lisa ruins the fun by showing Homer taht they're still in the front door. After this, Marge says that she only has two cupcakes for the three of them (Bart, Lisa, and Homer), and Lisa gives hers up.
2. In the school cafeteria, what does Lisa call her and her schoolmates?

Answer: Cattle

During music class, Lisa tries to play with her heart and soul, but her music teacher decides that the blues have no place in "My Country, 'Tis of Thee", so she's forced to play with the rest of the class. After this, Lisa reflects that the kids in the cafeteria are herded in for their lunch where they eat like cattle chewing their cud.
3. What sport does Lisa refuse to play at school?

Answer: Dodgeball

After lunch and a food fight, Lisa and the other girls in her class go to the gym to play dodgeball, but Lisa says that she's too sad to dodge the balls. While she sits out, the other girls pummel her with the dodgeballs. Later that day, Lisa is sent home with a note from the principal describing the situation and Lisa's apparent depression.
4. What is the name of the video game that Bart and Homer play during this episode?

Answer: Super Slugfest

"Super Slugfest" is a wrestling game that the Simpsons can play with joysticks on their living room TV. Despite the shoddy graphics, the characters in the game look similar to Bart and Homer. Early in the episode, Bart has a clear advantage against his father, who can't even strike his opponent. When Lisa comes home, Homer makes Bart vacuum the floor.
5. When Bart and Lisa tell Maggie to go to the sibling she loves best, who does she go to?

Answer: Neither

After Lisa has a bath, she talks to Bart about her feelings and talks to Maggie about him. Bart thinks that she's just trying to sway Maggie into liking her more, so they make her choose who she likes better. After a quick choice, Maggie chooses neither Bart nor Lisa, and she hugs the family television set.
After this, Homer and Bart continue their game and once again Homer loses. This time he blames it on Lisa who's playing the blues on her saxophone.
6. According to Marge's mother, what does a big smile show?

Answer: How good your mother is

After Homer tells Lisa to stop playing her sax, she hears a saxophone playing outside. She leaves the house through her bedroom window and crosses town to find Bleeding Gums Murphy playing on a bridge.
Meanwhile, Marge and Homer are both in bed. marge dreams about her mother telling her to smile and Homer dreams of being pummeled to Bart in a boxing ring. After this they realize that Lisa is missing.
7. Bleeding Gums Murphy has never been to the dentist.

Answer: True

Lisa talks to Mr. Murphy and he tells Lisa that his nickname literally shows that he has never visited a dentist in his life. Both of them play the blues and Lisa says that it doesn't make her feel any better. Bleeding Gums Murphy says that the blues really aren't meant to make you feel better.

They're there to make others feel worse, and so that you can make a couple bucks doing it. After this, Marge drives by and brings Lisa home.
8. How does Bart try and make Lisa feel better?

Answer: calling Moe's

The morning after Lisa meets Bleeding Gums Murphy, Marge talks with the family about Lisa. In order to make Lisa feel better, Bart prank calls Moe's by pretending he's looking for a man named Jaques Strapp. When Moe realizes he's been had, Bart rolls on the floor laughing, but Lisa is unphased. Marge decides to take her to band practice after this.
9. What is the name of the kid at the Noiseland Arcade that gives lessons to Homer?

Answer: Howie

In order to defeat Bart, Homer decides to practice video ame boxing at the arcade, but instead he finds Howie, an all-star at the game. After a small deal, Howie teaches Homer the tricks of the game and gives him great pointers. Later that night, Homer and Bart face off and Homer actually hits Bart a few times. Before he can deal the final blow, Marge pulls the plug on the TV. Bart takes the opportunity to announce his 'retirement' from video game boxing with an undefeated record.
10. Who gets Lisa to start smiling again?

Answer: Marge

On the way to band practice, Marge tells Lisa to push all the bad feelings inside of her and smile although she doesn't feel like it. Lisa ends up smiling on her way into school, but Marge hears the horrible comments that her fellow students and music teacher make and she pulls her back into the car.

They drive off and Marge tells Lisa to be herself even if she's depressed. The reassurance from her mother gets Lisa to start smiling again. After returning home, Lisa and Marge gather the rest of the family and go to the Jazz Hole to watch Bleeding Gums Murphy perform.
