Opening their clues on the Peace Bridge in Calgary, Alberta, teams discovered that they would be leaving Canada in Leg 3, bound for the Southeast Asian nation of Vietnam. Their eleven thousand kilometer flight would connect them through Vietnam and Hong Kong before arriving in Ho Chi Minh City, where they would head one hundred kilometers out of the city and into the Mekong Delta.

After finding a tourist dock and signing up for a water taxi, teams would leave the next morning and go on a shopping trip in the floating marketplace to get their next clue.

Answer: Ducks

After their market run, teams were told to take a ferry from Tan Phong Island and return to Cai Be where, at a local field known as Ben Pha Cai Be Qua Tan Phong, they could commence their Road Block. For this task, one member of each team needed to herd twenty ducks into their pen to continue. Following the task, both members needed to carry ducks to the nearby Cai Be Land Market to get their next clue. Stephane, Kate, Jillian, Rita, Tanya, Ashley, Steph, Julie, and Amy completed this task.

Answer: Kelly and Kate

Following the Road Block delivery, Kate and Kelly, who placed last in the previous non-elimination leg, were required to make their way through the Cai Be Land Market to complete their Speed Bump task. For this extra task, the duo needed to carry twenty toads through the marketplace from one stall to another, at which point they would be able to receive their Detour clue.

The additional task, in the grand scheme of things, only dropped them one spot in the standings.

Answer: 'Hydrate'

In Cai Be, teams chose either 'Vibrate' or 'Hydrate' for their Detour task. In 'Vibrate', they headed to a local temple to learn a complex, traditional drum dance, memorizing the ceremony to get their next clue. In 'Hydrate', teams needed to locate marked sampans on the Mekong Canal and use them to transport sixty coconuts downriver to another dock. Once they moved five dozen coconuts from the boat and down a path to a gazebo, they could continue on. Joel and Ashley, Kelly and Kate, Rita and Yvette, and Frankie and Amy chose 'Vibrate' while Jillian and Emmett, Anne and Tanya, Steph and Kristen, Julie and Lowell, and Stephane and Antoine chose 'Hydrate'.

Answer: Stephane and Antoine

After their Detour task, the teams ended up receiving their final clue of Leg 3, sending them the Mekong Lodge via water taxi. Here, Joel and Ashley, who started the leg at the market in last place, ended up placing first, winning themselves a trip for two to Tokyo, Japan courtesy of Hotels.com. Behind them, four teams ended up receiving penalties for taking water taxis from Tan Phong to Cai Be instead of the ferry.

In the end, however, Stephane and Antoine were unable to overcome their four hour Road Block penalty and they became the second team (and the only remaining all-male team) eliminated from the race.

At the start of Leg 4, teams headed out from the Mekong Lodge via water taxi and caught buses from Cai Be, one hundred kilometres to the major city of Ho Chi Minh where they had to locate the Ba Thien Hau Temple. Once there, teams needed to open two birdcages containing live doves, releasing negative energy and granting good luck on their travels.

When this was done, they headed to the intersection of Ly Chinh Thang and Nguyen Thong to find their next clue box.

Answer: Motor scooters

Arriving at the intersection in their clues, teams found their Road Block task at a corner repair shop in Ho Chi Minh City. For this task, teams had to choose a member who 'felt like a tool', and they would need to engage in repairs in one of the city's most crucial industries: transportation.

The selected team members needed to use instructions and all parts provided to properly reassemble motor scooters. Once the bikes were fully assembled they could continue on. Kristen, Kelly, Joel, Emmett, Yvette, Frankie, Julie, and Anne took a shot at this task.

Answer: Millipede

After completing the Road Block task in this leg, teams needed to satisfy their hunger by traveling to Quan A Soi Quan 1 and taking a seat at the restaurant there to feast on a plate of local delicacies. What teams didn't know was that their dishes would be piled high with fried crickets, centipedes, worms and a bat.

At the end, they would need to eat one coconut worm each to claim their next clue.

Answer: A karaoke bar

Following their feasts, teams embarked on one of two Detour tasks: 'V-Pop' or 'Fiip-Flop', In 'V-Pop', teams travelled to a local karaoke bar where they had to learn a Vietnamese duet to be performed in front of an audience. If they could memorize the words and melody in Vietnamese, they could continue on with the race.

In 'Flip-Flop', teams needed to learn the intricate steps to mix a drink known as 'Hello, Vietnam' (with all the local flair) at a rooftop bar. Joel and Ashley, Steph and Kristen, Jillian and Emmett, and Anne and Tanya completed the latter task while Kelly and Kate, Frankie and Amy, Julie and Lowell, and Rita and Yvette went with 'V-Pop'.

Answer: Anne and Tanya

After the Detour task, teams headed to their fourth Pit Stop directly in front of Ho Chi Minh City's City Hall in downtown Ho Chi Minh. Working with their strengths, Kelly and Kate dominated the 'V-Pop' Detour task by memorizing the lyrics, translated into Chinese characters, and finishing on their first attempt.

They landed on the Pit Stop mat in first place, winning themselves a trip for two to Los Angeles courtesy of Hotels.com. In the end, Jillian and Emmett narrowly avoided elimination while Anne and Tanya were sent packing. Additionally, Steph and Kristen were required to hand off one of their Express Passes; they gave it to Frankie and Amy.
