Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Prior to the apocalypse, Abraham was a Dallas homicide detective.

Answer: False

Abraham was played by actor Michael Cudlitz, who has also directed episodes of "The Walking Dead." The character was a U.S. Army Sergeant before the apocalypse and is portrayed as highly missions-minded. Abraham is based on a character from the comics and first appears in season 4, episode 10, "Inmates".
2. Where was Abraham's first camp, at the start of the apocalypse?

Answer: A grocery store in Houston, Texas

Flashbacks in season 5, episode 5, "Self Help," tell Abraham's story. He camped in a grocery store with his family - his wife Ellen and his children AJ and Becca and several other men. While he was on a supply run, however, his wife was raped, so he retaliated by brutally killing all of the men.

His family, who witnessed the massacre, were frightened by his reaction, and they left him with nothing but a note. He searched for his family, only to find them turned to walkers.
3. After losing his family, Abraham was contemplating suicide when he crossed paths with what man, who claimed to be a scientist?

Answer: Dr. Eugene Porter

Eugene claimed he knew the cure to the disease, that he was part of a special project, and that he had to get to Washington, D.C. to meet with a group of scientists. This gave Abraham a sense of purpose, and he made it his mission to protect and defend Eugene until he could get him to D.C.
4. Which of the following people did Abraham kill by smashing his head in?

Answer: Greg, a former resident of Terminus

In season 5, episode 3, "Four Walls and a Roof", Greg was a former member of Terminus and one of the Hunters to eat Bob's leg. Later Greg, along with the other Hunters, went to the church where Rick's group had been staying. Rick's group ambushed them, and Abraham smashed Greg's head in with the butt of his rifle. Abraham was introduced on "The Walking Dead" after the group's conflict with the Governor, and he died before their interaction with the Scavengers.
5. What job was Abraham given in the Alexandria Safe-Zone?

Answer: Construction crew

Deanna Monroe assigned Abraham to work on the construction crew that was building the town walls in season 5, episode 12, "Remember." Tobin was the foreman, but Abraham took charge in the episode "Spend," after a walker attack during which Tobin nearly let a worker, Francie, die. Abraham, however, saved her.
6. In "Always Accountable", what did Abraham find in the back of a military Humvee?

Answer: A case of rockets and a box of cigars

The Humvee had a case of rockets and a box of cigars. Abraham had to dangerously retrieve the rocket launcher off a walker that fell over a bridge and ended up dangling. In "No Way Out", Daryl later used the rocket launcher to kill a group of Saviors that threatened to take their truck and everything in it.
7. Abraham broke up with Rosita to start a romantic relationship with which woman?

Answer: Sasha

Rosita had become Abarahm's girlfriend after they met in Houston, Texas. They were together throughout their mission on the road for over a year, but Abraham abruptly dumped her and said he had learned that she was not the last woman on earth. Abraham and Sasha managed to bond over their shared PTSD and their shared belief that truly living means sacrificing yourself for the future.
8. Abraham is known for his unique turns of phrase. Which of the following is NOT one of the things Abraham has said on "The Walking Dead"?

Answer: "You're as cold as ice, officer friendly."

"You're as cold as ice, officer friendly" is something Merle said to Rick. Abraham had other zingers, including, "Why are Dingleberries brown? Just the way --- is" and "When you were pouring the Bisquick, were you trying to make pancakes?"
9. With what weapon was Abraham killed?

Answer: A baseball bat

Abraham was beaten to death by Negan with his barbwire-laced baseball bat Lucille. The scene occurs in the episode "The Day Will Come When You Won't Be". In the scene, Negan says Abraham is taking his beating "like a champ."
10. What hand sign did Abraham flash Sasha right before he died?

Answer: The peace sign

The peace sign had come to have a special meaning between the couple.

In the season 6 episode, "First Time Again", after Abraham buries Reg Monroe, he's sitting drunk on the porch of a house when Sasha passes by. He flashes her the peace sign, and she hesitantly returns it. In a later episode, "Knots Untie," Sasha flashes him the peace sign when Abraham's disappointed she has to go off patrol, and Abraham flashes it back. Finally, in season 7, Abraham flashes Sasha the peace sign just before Negan beats him to death.
