Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Why did Glenn know the layout of Atlanta so well?

Answer: He used to deliver pizzas in Atlanta

Glenn was born in Michigan but eventually moved to Atlanta for school. However, after graduating in his early twenties, he had trouble finding direction in life and ended up working as a pizza delivery boy. He used his knowledge of the streets of Atlanta to save Rick from the zombie-surrounded tank and to help recover the bag of guns abandoned in the street.
2. Of what ethnicity is Glenn?

Answer: Korean

Glenn's ethnicity becomes something of a running joke in "The Walking Dead." Daryl initially refers to him as a "Chinaman," which causes Glenn to correct him: "I'm Korean." Later, when Merle refuses to return to the prison camp with Daryl, saying he can't because "I almost killed that Chinese kid," Daryl replies, "He's Korean."
3. When Rick decides to go back to the city to retrieve Merle, Glenn eagerly volunteers to help.

Answer: False

Glenn doesn't readily volunteer. In "Tell it to the Frogs," Rick specifically asks him to go because Glenn knows the ways in and out so well. Glenn is reluctant about it, but he eventually agrees, with some grumbling.
4. When Glenn is taken hostage by the Vatos gang, where do they take him?

Answer: To a nursing home

Vatos seems like a tough gang of thieves, but they're really just trying to protect their camp in a nursing home, where they care for elderly members of their family. The leader of the gang, Guillermo, was a custodian and the nursing center prior to the apocalypse. All the doctors and nurses ran off after people began turning, except for Guillermo and a nurse named Felipe.

They stayed behind to care for the old ones, and over time, relatives stopped in to check on their grandparents and parents, and a camp was formed.
5. Where are Maggie and Glenn when she first offers to be intimate with him?

Answer: A pharmacy

They've gone to the pharmacy to pick up several items to bring back to the Greene family farm. Lori has asked Glenn to find a pregnancy test. Maggie explains to Glenn that their options are slim these days. Glenn later waits for Maggie in the barn for their second encounter, thinking she'll come because of a note he slipped her, which she did not get a chance to read right away.

Unfortunately, it turns out the barn is where Hershel is keeping a bunch of walkers. Glenn tells the group about his discovery, and they open the barn door. Glenn, T-Dog, Daryl, Andrea, and Shane shoot the emerging walkers.
6. What keepsake does Hershel give to Glenn?

Answer: His pocket watch

Hershel gives Glenn his pocket watch to indicate he approves of Glenn. He says, "No man is good enough for your little girl. Until one is." After Glenn is dead, Maggie lays the watch on his grave. She punches Gregory for taking the watch off the grave, and she also clutches it while giving a speech at the end of season 7 to rally an army against Negan.
7. In season 3, episode 5 ("Say the Word"), after walkers make their way into the prison and wreak havoc, we see Glenn digging graves for three people. Who is not one of those people?

Answer: Tyreese

Tyreese doesn't die until season 5, episode 9. Carol doesn't die in season 3, either, but the group believes she is dead, and Glenn helps to dig her a grave. A cross is put above it, and Daryl lays a Cherokee rose at the foot of that cross. However, Daryl later finds Carol alive and carries her back to her cell block. T-Dog died helping Carol to get free, and Lori died after her C-section.
8. Who kidnaps Glenn in Season 3, episode 6, "Hounded," and takes him to Woodbury?

Answer: Merle

Glenn is on a scavenging trip with Maggie when they run into Merle. Merle wants them to take him back to their camp to see Daryl, but they refuse. Merle then captures Maggie and holds her at gunpoint to force Glenn to drive to Woodbury. Merle interrogates Glenn in an attempt to learn the location of his camp and even releases a walker into the room.
9. Does the audience get to see Glenn's wedding to Maggie?

Answer: no

If there is a wedding ceremony of some kind, it must take place between seasons, because the audience never gets to see it. In "This Sorrowful Life" (season 3, episode 15), Glenn tells Hershel he wants to marry Maggie, cuts a ring off a female walker, and proposes to her. Later, he begins referring to her as his wife.
10. Was Glenn a member of the prison council?

Answer: yes

Glenn served along with Hershel, Carol, Sasha, and Daryl. He is shown to be meeting with the council in "Infected" (season 4, episode 2), where they discuss a plan to quarantine the people who have gotten sick. He himself ends up getting sick. He's recovering, but still weak, when the Governor attacks the prison.
11. After the prison collapses, where does Glenn reunite with Rick and Daryl?

Answer: In a boxcar at Terminus

Toward the end of season 4, Maggie, Glenn, Bob, Sasha, Rosita, Abraham, Tara, and Rosita find their way to Terminus, where they are welcomed with a plate of food. However, at some point, they are imprisoned in a boxcar to await execution. Later Rick, Carl, Michonne, and Daryl discover them when they are herded into the same box car. The group begins to discuss escape plans.
12. Glenn kills several people after they have reanimated. Which is not one of his zombie kills?

Answer: Sophia

The reanimated Sophia is put down by Rick, not Glenn. Shawn Greene, Maggie and Beths' stepbrother, emerges zombified from Hershel's barn and is shot by Glenn. Randall Culver is killed by Shane and then reanimates. Shane tells them he escaped and plans to pin Rick's death on him, but Glenn comes across his zombified form in the woods and stabs it in the head. Mr. Jacobson succumbs to the infection that sweeps the prison, and Glenn stabs his reanimated form in the head.
13. Who kills Glenn?

Answer: Negan

Negan dramatically beats Glenn to death using his barbwire-laced baseball bat, which he has named Lucille after his late wife. This momentous death episode comes in Season 7, episode 1, "The Day Will Come When You Won't Be" and mirrors what happened to Glenn in the comic books, although in the television show, the writers add Abraham's death preceding Glenn's.
14. Who blames himself for Glenn's death?

Answer: Daryl

Negan chooses to beat Abraham to death. But when Rosita cries after he is killed, Daryl loses his temper and rushes Negan. Daryl is promptly wrestled back into place, but this breaking of the rules inspires Negan to choose another victim and beat Glenn to death as well. Daryl blames himself for his friend's death, and while he is held captive, he is grimly given a photo of Glenn's head bashed in.
15. Maggie gives birth to Glenn's child at the Hilltop after Glenn is dead. After whom does she name the child?

Answer: Her dead father

Maggie has a baby boy and names him Hershel, in honor of her own father. Not counting his ultrasound, little Hershel makes his first appearance in season 9, episode 1 ("A New Beginning"). The child is approximately eight years old by season 10 of "The Walking Dead."
