Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. RC-P90, Klobb, KF7 Soviet

Answer: GoldenEye 007

"GoldenEye" is a first-person shooting game released in 1997, and features James Bond. RC-P90, Klobb, KF7 Soviet are all guns used in the game. The RC-P90 is my favorite gun to use in the game, as it is highly powerful and it fires 80 rounds of bullets before you have to reload.

The Klobb is one of my least favorites because, although it is a submachine gun, it is low powered and takes many rounds to dispatch enemies. The KF7 Soviet is a staple in the game; it is an assault rifle, based on the AK-47.

It is affectionally known as the "pencil gun" among fans because of its appearance during game play.
2. Banjo, Tiptup, Conker

Answer: Diddy Kong Racing

"Diddy Kong Racing" is a racing game released in 1997. Banjo, Tiptup, Conker are characters in the game. Banjo is a bear who is perhaps better known as a character in "Banjo-Kazooie". Tiptup the Turtle is the character that I always preferred to play with in the game. Conker the Squirrel had his own N64 game in "Conker's Bad Fur Day", where he was often drunk, and committed many acts of violence.
3. McCloud, Slippy Toad, Peppy Hare

Answer: Star Fox 64

"Star Fox 64" was released in 1997 and it is a rail shooter game that centers on the character Fox McCloud, a red fox who is involved in a galactic military war conflict. The game is one of the best-selling Nintendo 64 games ever.
4. Panthers, Rams, Vikings

Answer: NFL Blitz

"NFL Blitz" started out as an arcade game, and was released on the N64 format in 1997, and features NFL teams, but the game play is much faster and much more violent than most other football games. After many plays, the players sometimes perform professional wrestling moves on their opponent, such as piledrivers. It was certainly a unique game, and one of my favorites.
5. Joanna, Laptop Gun, MagSec 4

Answer: Perfect Dark

"Perfect Dark" was a first-person shooter game that follows Joanna Dark, and it is very similar to "GoldenEye 007". It was made by the same developer, and the game play is not much different, but there are different themes, and aliens are present, unlike "GoldenEye 007".

Many of the weapons are similar as well. The Laptop Gun and MagSec 4 are two of the various weapons available in "Perfect Dark".
6. US 101, Death Valley, Iowa

Answer: Cruis'n USA

"Cruis'n USA" was an arcade game before it was released on the N64 in 1996. It is a racing game where you have to race seven other cars on various open streets and highways in the United States, often frequenting and sometimes colliding with every day drivers. It starts in California and ends in Washington D.C. US 101, Death Valley, Iowa are all the names of races in the game.
7. Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, Tony Gwynn

Answer: Triple Play 2000

"Triple Play 2000" is an MLB baseball game released in 1999 and features Chicago Cubs outfielder Sammy Sosa on the cover. Mark McGwire is a player on the St. Louis Cardinals, and Tony Gwynn for the San Diego Padres. It isn't amongst the most popular N64 games, but it was a game I played for hundreds of hours.
8. Yoshi, Toad, Bowser

Answer: Super Mario 64

"Super Mario 64" was released in 1996 and became the best selling N64 game ever when it eclipsed 12 million copies sold. It features Mario, who had already been a long established Nintendo character since his debut in the 1985 Nintendo game "Super Mario Bros." Yoshi, Toad, Bowser are all characters found in the Super Mario franchise.
9. Stone Cold, Bret Hart, Ken Shamrock

Answer: WWF War Zone

"WWF War Zone" was released in 1998 and features stars from the professional wrestling company World Wrestling Federation. Stone Cold Steve Austin is a playable character who appears on the game's cover. Bret Hart had left the company in 1997 but still appeared in the game. Ken Shamrock, former MMA fighter known as the "world's most dangerous man" made his video game debut in this game.
10. Goldberg, Raven, Kevin Nash

Answer: WCW/nWo Revenge

"WCW/nWo Revenge" was released in 1998 and featured Bill Goldberg, Raven, Kevin Nash and Hollywood Hogan -- also known as Hulk Hogan, on the cover. Shortly after the release of "WWF War Zone", the competing WCW released this game, which was similar in game play. I was much more of a WWF fan, and didn't play this game very much, but I still had fun when I did play it.
