"Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" is both the opening and title track of the album.
The Beatles started out on "Sgt Pepper" as a concept album, the inspiration of Paul McCartney, although the concept idea was dropped after a couple of the tracks had been recorded.
Instead they let their creativity flow and put together a collection of tracks of varied and imaginative musical styles... and thus a musical masterpiece was created.
