Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. We start the episode with a family board game, Scrabble to be exact. They're playing to help Bart prepare for an upcoming vocabulary test, but Bart himself has no interest in playing. In a bid to end the game faster what word does he attempt to play?

Answer: Kwyjibo

Bart's attempt to speed things up involves using all of his letters in one go, thus coming up with "Kwyjibo". Bart defines the word as "a big, dumb, balding North American ape. With no chin." whilst looking directly at his father. Homer immediately begins chasing his son furiously. Homer had the word "Oxidize" spelled on his letter rack without noticing, and instead played the word "Do".
2. The next morning at Springfield Elementary Bart and his friends are causing trouble, with Bart spray-painting a crude drawing of Principal Skinner on the school wall. What are the words painted inside the Principal's speech bubble?

Answer: "I am a weiner"

Martin Prince brings the graffiti to the attention of Principal Skinner whilst also commenting on the spelling of "weiner", clarifying that whilst it is normally spelt "wiener", that "E-I is an acceptable ethnic variant." Skinner asks the boys to show their hands, and literally catches Bart "red-handed" with red spray paint on his hands.
3. Bart, Martin and the rest of the fourth grade file into class for an aptitude test but Martin points out that Bart has to sit somewhere due to his past cheating. Where does Bart get moved to?

Answer: Next to the window

Bart gets moved so he's facing out of the window, but this just aids in distracting him from the test. Martin finishes the test early and heads outside to read under a tree, prompting Bart to begin making faces at him. Mrs Krabappel heads over to investigate the situation ("What are you looking at, Bart? Are those naughty dogs back again?") giving Bart the opportunity to switch his test with Martin's.
4. With the tests switched, Bart ends up scoring a incredibly high score, a result that surprises all the Springfield Elementary staff. The school psychiatrist is called in to explain to Homer and Marge about Bart's sudden "increased intelligence"; what is his name?

Answer: Dr. J. Loren Pryor

Dr. Pryor reveals that Bart has an IQ of 219, although Homer initially misreads the figure as 912. Unaware of the cheating that took place, Pryor believes Bart's bad behaviour is caused by being under-challenged at Springfield Elementary and suggests that Bart is moved to a different school for "gifted children".
5. Bart heads over to his new school, the "Enriched Learning Center for Gifted Children", and is shown around the facility by his teacher Mrs. Melon. Bart is happy to find a comic book among the many educational books. Which fictional character is the comic book about?

Answer: Radioactive Man

The teacher isn't impressed at seeing the comic book and immediately throws it into the trash, only for Bart to get it out again. Bart's classmates are a wacky bunch: one speaks only in palindromes, another in backwards phonetics, whilst another runs an experiment on a hamster that will be dissected in the future.
6. At lunchtime Bart is embarrassed by his fellow classmates who utilise their advanced intelligence to get his whole lunch in exchange for crumbs and drops of theirs. A dejected Bart returns home to find that Marge is going to attempt to "nurture his brain" by taking the family to what?

Answer: The opera

The Simpson family head to the opera much to the annoyance of Bart and Homer. The two male Simpsons spend their time during the opera singing along with their own lyrics, making fun of the opera singers and generally annoying both Marge and the other patrons.
7. Things get worse for poor Bart. On his way back home from another frustrating day at the Gifted School he meets up with his old friends Milhouse, Lewis and Richard. They now consider him a "nerd" and refuse to have anything to with him. What game are the boys playing whilst Bart is left out?

Answer: Marbles

There's not much more to add to this one, but the boys are indeed playing marbles. Just for some added information, did you know that Simpsons creator Matt Groening's favourite sport is soccer? You do now.
8. After a father/son chat between Homer and Bart shows Bart how much it means to Homer that Bart is a "genius", he returns to the Gifted School. In chemistry class Bart can't find a lab partner willing to work with him, and being by himself results in Bart causing a large explosion that turns his skin what colour?

Answer: Green

After dangerously mixing acids with bases Bart creates an explosion of significant proportions that leaves Bart's skin dyed a bright green, with the walls of the school coated the same colour.
9. Bart returns to the Springfield Elementary psychiatrist to try and understand his lapse of intelligence. Desperate to return to his normal life, Bart attempts to become an "undercover smart kid" at his old school. Bart is left to write out a proposal for his idea, but what does Bart write instead?

Answer: A confession

Bart begins to formulate his plan to go undercover but it proves to be too difficult. Instead he writes his confession to cheating on the aptitude test. It doesn't take long for Dr. Pryor to realise that Bart is telling the truth: "You know, you misspelled 'confession'."
10. Bart returns home once more to begin the process of getting back to his normal skin colour with Homer's assistance. Bart finally confesses to his father about his deception. What is Homer's reaction to the news?

Answer: Chases a naked Bart through the house

Homer doesn't react well to Bart admitting he cheated and in the middle of Bart's bath he begins chasing Bart throughout the house until Bart gets to his bedroom and locks the door. A furious Homer tries to coax his son of out his room whilst Lisa remarks, "I think Bart's stupid again, Mom." Thanks for playing!
