Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How did Wendy break up with Stan?

Answer: sent Bebe to tell him during recess

Bebe tapped Stan on the shoulder and told him, "Wendy breaks up." Stan was confused and asked her to clarify. Bebe repeated, "Wendy breaks up with you." Stan, breaking into a panic, tried to stop Bebe: "Whoa, whoa, wait a minute. What did I do wrong? I haven't even talked to Wendy for weeks!" Bebe informed him, "She just doesn't want to be with you anymore.

She says she still wants to be friends." Then Stan's friends took over an antagonized Bebe until she walked away. The boys returned to their football game, but Stan was crushed and wandered off to wallow in his pain alone.
2. When Stan sent Jimmy to talk to Wendy for him, what did he tell Jimmy to say?

Answer: that Wendy was a "continuing source of inspiration" to him

Jimmy, being a good sport, agreed. Unfortunately, because of Jimmy's stutter, the good intentions came out sounding like something a little less flattering: "Stan says you're a cont- you're a cont- Stan says you're a cont- cont- cont- You're a continuing source of inspiration to him." Wendy had walked off long before she could find out what Jimmy was really trying to say, though, and Stan's plan only succeeded in making Wendy angry with him!
3. What movie did Bebe take her "most romantic thing" from?

Answer: Say Anything...

Stan had gone to Bebe's house to ask her to tell Wendy he loved her. Bebe suggested that he just show Wendy that he loved her by doing the most romantic thing he could think of. Stan was willing, if confused: "Okay, so what's the most romantic thing I can think of?" Bebe advised, "If you really want a shot at getting her back, stand outside her window, hold a boom box over your head and play Peter Gabriel." It was a good idea (it certainly worked for Lloyd Dobler in "Say Anything..."!) but Bebe wasn't specific enough, and instead of playing "In Your Eyes", Stan's musical selection was the decidedly un-romantic "Shock the Monkey". What's worse, Wendy had already gotten together with Token!
4. What gift did Butters get for Lexus?

Answer: stuffed animal

Specifically, it was a "little stuffed bear dressed as a rabbit." Lexus took the gift, gushing, "that's the nicest gift I've gotten all night!" Meanwhile, she had the Raisins security guard escort her to her bike and keep Butters at a distance. Butters seemed totally oblivious to the situation, though, and only heard the manipulative chatter Lexus was spewing at him.

She, of course, was only interested in Butters returning to the restaurant for her monetary gain!
5. Grieving for Wendy, Stan went to talk to the Goth kids, who seemed to sit around complaining about their horrible existences. Stan asked, "But if life is only pain, then... what's the point of living?" How did the Goth kid respond?

Answer: "Just to make life more miserable for the conformists."

Stan still seemed a bit unsure but asked how to join them. The Goth leader informed him, "If you wanna be one of the non-conformists, all you have to do is dress just like us and listen to the same music we do."
6. When Mercedes was training Ferrari before her first day at Raisins, what did Mercedes NOT mention as a prop provided for playing with?

Answer: trampolines

Mercedes was giving Ferrari a few pointers before they opened for business: "First of all, there's a five-foot rule. If you come within five feet of a customer, you need to acknowledge them, even if they're not at your table. 'Hey, cutie.' When you're not serving food or talking with customers, you need to dance around and have fun. We have things like hoola hoops, silly strings and water guns to play with the other girls. Be sure to giggle a lot and be sure to show off your raisins. Now, when you take a customer's order, you need to sit down at the table with them; it makes them think you're interested. Write your name down for them and make them feel special. 'Oh man, I am so bored! Thank god you guys came in!' If you want good tips, the most important thing is physical contact. Just a simple hold of the arm can be the difference between 5 and 20 dollars. 'I'll be right back with your order guys!'" Though Raisins didn't have trampolines for the girls to bounce around on, that idea probably would have been very successful at Hooters, from which Raisins was derived!
7. Mr. Stotch won the bet about Butters turning out gay.

Answer: true

Lobbying his parents for another advance on his allowance so that he could continue patronizing Raisins, Butters revealed that he was spending the money on his "girlfriend." His parents were clearly a little shocked, and his dad even clarified, "she's a girl, right?" After Butters had left the room, Mr. Stotch gloated, "You see? I told you he wouldn't turn out gay." Mrs. Stotch conceded, "All right, you win" and handed her husband some money!
8. Trying to convince their waitress, Porsche, that she shouldn't be working in such a demeaning environment, Mrs. Stotch suggested the girl could grow up to cure what malady?

Answer: cancer

Mr. and Mrs. Stotch were shocked to see what was going on at Raisins and quickly realized their son's mistake:

Mr. Stotch: "Oh, boy. I think I know what's happened. Our son hasn't learned yet that girls will pretend to like him for money."
Mrs. Stotch: "This place is horrible, to objectify girls like this!"
Mrs. Stotch then decided to share her views with their waitress:
Mrs. Stotch: "Little girl, you shouldn't be working here."
Porsche: "I shouldn't? Where am I supposed to be working?"
Mrs. Stotch: "No, I mean you shouldn't work somewhere where you're paid for how you look. You should be learning a skill so you can grow up to be a businesswoman or even a doctor. Who knows, you could cure cancer!"
Porsche: "I could cure cancer? Oh my god! That would be sooo cool! I had a cancer sore on my lip once and it hurt sooo bad."
Mrs. Stotch: "Oh, never mind. I think Raisins might be the perfect place for you."
Porsche: "Cool!"

Evidently, in Mrs. Stotch's mind, it's fine to work at a place that objectifies girls if you happen to be stupid!
9. Did Butters join the Goth kids?

Answer: no

They found him crying in the rain after Lexus dumped him and offered to let him join their group and accompany them to the "graveyard and write poems about death and how pointless life is." Butters turned them down: "Oh, no thanks. I love life." Stan was confused by this assertion and asked, "Hm? But you just got dumped." Butters responded wisely: "Well, yeah. And I'm sad.

But at the same time I'm really happy that something could make me feel that sad. It's like... It, it makes me feel alive, you know? It makes me feel human.

The only way I could feel this sad now is if I felt something really good before, so I have to take the bad with the good. So I guess what I'm feeling is like a beautiful sadness." Though the Goth kids thought Butters sounded stupid, Stan agreed with Butters' perspective and returned to his old friends.
10. What did Stan say as he left the Goth kids?

Answer: "Screw you guys, I'm going home."

Stan got to use Cartman's line (albeit with a much different affectation) as he left the Goth kids in favor of what they condescendingly referred to as his "sunshine fairytale."
