Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Where was the memorial service being held for the victims of an elderly driver?

Answer: farmer's market

Father Maxi was overseeing the event for the nine victims of an elderly driver who had plowed them down while they were shopping on the street at the farmer's market. Father Maxi was speaking to God's peculiar sense of humor when another elderly driver careened through the crowd, killing a number of innocents!
2. Where was the elderly couple headed when they killed the fisherman?

Answer: Country Kitchen Buffet

The couple was arguing about the best route to take. The wife insisted she'd chosen the shortest route, so as to save gas, but her husband was focused on it not being the fastest way to the restaurant. While they were arguing, they passed Country Kitchen Buffet, and in the commotion, the wife pulled a right turn that sent them off a bridge into Stark's Pond, landing on the fisherman's boat and killing him! The elderly couple didn't seem distressed, concluding that they'd successfully located the parking lot!
3. What issue did the senior citizens keep thinking their meeting was about?

Answer: skateboarding kids

The senior citizens, led by Grandpa Marsh, were having trouble being productive because they couldn't remember what they were there to discuss. Early in the meeting, one woman wondered if they were there to discuss "the kids skateboarding on the sidewalks" but she realized that wasn't really on the agenda.

Then the old folks went on a tangent deciding to have a meeting, and when they realized they were already at that meeting, they decided it had been called "to get those [darn] kids to stop skateboarding on the sidewalks!"
4. What were the boys doing when the senior citizens meeting let out?

Answer: playing street hockey

When Randy realized that all the senior citizens in South Park were in a meeting, he also realized that when that meeting let out, they'd all be driving on the streets. He set into town, yelling warnings to everyone to "get off the streets" and "get inside." When he ran into Gerald Broflovski, he asked where the boys were and Gerald told him they were playing street hockey. Randy ran across a field to get to the boys, reaching them just in time to seek refuge in an old house nearby! As they tried to relax, old people crashed their cars through the walls of the house and Randy led the boys upstairs.
5. What was Grandpa Marsh taken to jail for?

Answer: driving without a license

Office Barbrady pulled him over for driving erratically, and when he asked for Grandpa Marsh's license, Grandpa replied that he didn't have one because they'd taken it away. Barbrady told him he'd have to take him to jail. When Randy showed up, he decided not to bail his father out because his dad was giving him attitude. Grandpa didn't seem too concerned, though, since he'd already called in the AARP!
6. What was Mr. Garrison teaching a lesson on when the AARP parachuted into South Park?

Answer: Mongols vs. mongoloids

Mr. Garrison told the children, "Genghis Khan was a 'Mongol,' not to be confused with a 'mongoloid' like the actor, Nicolas Cage." Evidently, Garrison was attributing the characteristics of Down syndrome to Cage! Before he could get much further with the lesson, Garrison was distracted by the AARP members landing outside the window and headed out of the classroom to investigate.
7. Did the senior citizens kill any of their hostages?

Answer: yes

When the senior citizens had all their hostages gathered and revealed their plan to demand their licenses back and more money in Medicare, one of the hostages questioned the threat level: "Have you all got Alzheimer's? They're not gonna listen to a bunch of whacked out senior citizens." Bill Stewart told the man that they'd listen because if they didn't the AARP would start killing hostages.

When the man scoffed at their commitment, an elderly woman raised her gun and shot him in the head!
8. What did Randy Marsh cite as the reason why the adults couldn't stop the senior citizens?

Answer: the seniors woke up too early

The boys visited the hostage camp and asked Randy why no one stopped the old people. Randy explained, "They've tried to stop them, son, but... the seniors get up so early in the morning. They get everything done before everyone else is even awake!" Then Randy had a brilliant idea: "You boys! You get up almost as early as they do! You can fight them!" Stan resisted, asking why the adults couldn't do it, and Randy reasoned, "We like to sleep in."
9. What was Cartman's plan to stop the senior citizens' occupation of South Park?

Answer: cut off their food source

Cartman even cited precedent for his plan: "Two years ago they closed the Country Kitchen Buffet in Steamboat Springs and all the old people died of starvation in less than a week!" Though the boys agreed to the idea of cutting off the food source, they weren't exactly on board with Cartman's detailed plan, which culminated in Kyle suicide-bombing the restaurant!
10. After the senior citizen threat had been taken care of, did Randy Marsh decide to put his father back in jail?

Answer: no

Stan pointed out that Randy was partly responsible for how events panned out, and got his dad and grandpa to finally reach some common ground:
Stan: "Look, all Grandpa wants it not to be talked to like a child. I think half of what he was angry about wasn't what you were doing, but how you were doing it."
Grandpa: "That's right."
Stan: "And Grandpa, you should be proud that you made it through life to be a senior, but you should also realize that, when you're behind the wheel, you're a killing machine."
Grandpa: "I know. I guess sometimes us seniors need to know when to stop driving so we don't put the responsibility on our families."
Randy: "Well, I think this has been a real learning experience for the Marsh family. People died, but we all grew a bit. Let's just go home."
Grandpa: "Sure. I'll drive."
Randy: [laughing] "That's our Grandpa."
Stan: "Dude, I hate my family."
