'South Park' - Season 9 Trivia Questions

1. Whose parent got into a fight in the stands at the baseball game?

From Quiz
"South Park" - "The Losing Edge"

Answer: Stan's

Stan's dad initiated a fight with another father after the other guy insulted Stan's pitching abilities. It clearly was not the first time a fight had broken out involving Randy, because when Stan saw, he pinched the bridge of his nose and lamented, "Aw Jesus, not again." Randy was hauled off by cops after the game, drunk and tattered from the scuffle, but still protesting his treatment: "This is for what? Arresting me for what? I'm not allowed to stand up for myself? I thought this was America! Huh? Isn't this America? I'm sorry, I thought this was America!"

2. To whom did Mrs. Garrison give a brown egg?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Follow That Egg!"

Answer: Token

All the other kids got regular old white eggs, but Mrs. Garrison handed a brown egg to Token, with no particular explanation or excuse. Token looked shocked, but didn't object.

3. What did Stan and Cartman crash into with Roy's boat?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Two Days Before ..."

Answer: beaver dam

Cartman handed Stan the keys and urged him to take them for a spin around the marina. Unfortunately, Stan lost control of the boat and the boys crashed into a "very large beaver dam." As the boat burst into flames, the boys swam to safety ashore and Cartman confessed that the boat wasn't his uncle's, but some random person's! Cartman determined to use a game of Tea Party at his house as an alibi and headed away from the scene with Stan not far behind.

4. What did Cartman find in the old woman's backyard?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Die Hippie, Die"

Answer: drum circle

First Cartman checked the attic, where he discovered a group of "giggling stoners." He told the old woman, "If you see one hippie, there's probably a whole lot more you're not seein'." Sure enough, Cartman found a drum circle of hippies in the backyard. The woman told him they'd showed up a few days ago, and Cartman realized South Park had a serious infestation on its hands!

5. How had Cartman documented the girls using the "future-telling device?"

From Quiz "South Park" - "Marjorine"

Answer: by using his Wellington Bear video camera

At the meeting he'd called, he revealed that the girls had a device that they could use to see into the future, and he had documentation of that fact which he'd collected with his Wellington Bear video camera. He warned that the images might be "too shocking for young children" and Butters dutifully hid his head in his arms.

6. What "offense" did Cartman commit?

From Quiz "South Park" - "The Death of Eric Cartman"

Answer: ate the skins off every piece of chicken

The boys were all waiting at Stan's house for his mom to come home with Kentucky Fried Chicken. She finally arrived, but told them they had to help unload the groceries before they could eat. Cartman encouraged them to all pitch in so as to quicken the job, but he hung back while the other boys went to the garage and methodically pulled the skin off each piece of chicken and devoured it. When the boys returned with the groceries, they were horrified to see what Cartman had done, but Cartman just up and left, saying he was heading home to "sit on the toilet and read comic books." The next morning at the bus stop, the boys determined to ignore Cartman.

7. What did "Jambu" tell Kyle he wanted to talk about?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Free Willzyx"

Answer: rocket ships

Kyle hung behind to watch Jambu swim around and tapped on the glass. Jambu swam up and looked at him, and the bored announcers used the overhead system to make Jambu "talk." "Jambu" told Kyle he wanted to talk about rocket ships, explaining, "Yeah, I love rockets, but I can't see them 'cause I'm stuck in this tank. You know, someday, I wish that I could go up in space in a rocket ship." As Kyle ran off to get his friends, the announcers laughed that it was "funny every single time."

8. What did Cartman claim anything fun would cost?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Trapped in the Closet"

Answer: at least $8

Stan didn't want to spend any money because he was saving for a new bike, and suggested they do "something fun that's free." Cartman retorted, "Stan, don't you know the first law of physics? Anything that's fun costs at least $8."

9. What TV show were the boys eager to get home from karate class to watch?

10. In his speech to the class, what did Cartman claim caused Ginger-vitis?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Ginger Kids"

Answer: ginger kids have no souls

Cartman was flipping though slides of ginger kid photos, proclaiming his disgust with each one, and explained to the class that "Ginger kids are born with a disease which causes very light skin, red hair, and freckles. [...] This disease is called Ginger-vitis and it occurs because ginger kids have no souls." Kyle objected to the speech and called it a "hate speech," but Mrs. Garrison told Kyle to keep quiet and let Cartman finish.

11. What is the name of the City Wok owner's wife?

From Quiz Mixed "South Park" - Season 9

Answer: Wing

In an attempt to earn money of other peoples' successes, the four boys become agents for up-and-coming performers. They start with Token, but soon need to take on a new client when he's picked up by an actual Hollywood agent. They find their modest success in Wing, the wife of the City Wok owner, who plans to make her famous by putting her on "American Idol". As it turns out, she's not good enough, or early enough, to make it in, so she ends up becoming a contestant on Sylvester Stallone's "The Contender". After getting embroiled in a human smuggling war, the boys ultimately sign Wing for a Hollywood wedding and cut their losses.

12. Whose father was arrested many times at the town's baseball games?

It was Stan's father who got into fights against one of the fathers from the opposing team and was repeatedly arrested.

13. When the All-State team coach told Kyle he couldn't play for the team, to what did he seem to attribute Kyle's inability to play the game?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Mr. Garrison's Fancy New ..."

Answer: Kyle was Jewish

Kyle was obviously disadvantaged by his height, but his heart was in the game and he was trying his best to hold his own. The coach pulled him off the court, though, and broke the news: Coach: "Uh, look, kid, you've got great skills and a great attitude. But you're just not physically... built for the game." Kyle: "Oo, whataya mean?" Coach: "Well, it's just that... Jews can't play basketball."

14. Training to get into the "best shape of [his] life," what did Randy drink?

From Quiz "South Park" - "The Losing Edge"

Answer: beer

He dressed like Rocky and cracked three eggs into a glass, but instead of drinking them, he poured them into a hot pan and scrambled them. Meanwhile, he cracked open a beer to guzzle down.

15. When Stan called Kyle to check up on Kyle and Wendy's activities, what did Stan say was stupid?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Follow That Egg!"

Answer: Kyle's hat

Stan was livid over the Kyle-Wendy pairing, but Kyle was oblivious. When Stan called, Kyle took his inquiry at face value, and told him how they were making "a cradle out of an egg carton" with which to protect their egg. When Kyle said he thought the "whole assignment" was stupid, Stan shot back, "Yeah, well, so is your hat," and hung up, leaving Kyle mystified on the other end of the line!

16. What did Cartman insist the boys would need in their agency's lobby?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Wing"

Answer: fountain

Cartman figured that they had as much right to Token's money as Token did, and they could lay claim to 10% of it by being his agents. Cartman declared, "We just need a really kickass office and some nice suits. And a fountain in our lobby. All top agencies have fountains in their lobbies. We gotta make Token think he needs us, when actually he doesn't need us at all."

17. What did the news correspondent NOT report was happening in Beaverton?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Two Days Before ..."

Answer: self-immolation

Stan watched in horror as the news covered Beaverton's devastation. The entire town was flooded and the news media was doing its best to give the event sensational coverage: Correspondent: "Tom, I'm currently ten miles outside of Beaverton, unable to get inside the town proper. We do not have any reports of fatalities yet, but we believe that the death toll may be in the hundreds of millions. Beaverton has only a population of about eight thousand, Tom, so this would be quite devastating." Anchor: "Any word on how the survivors in the town are doing, Mitch?" Correspondent: "We're not sure what exactly is going on inside the town of Beaverton, uh, Tom, but we're reporting that there's looting, raping, and yes, even acts of cannibalism." Anchor: "My God, you've... you've actually seen people looting, raping and eating each other?" Correspondent: "No, no, we haven't actually seen it Tom, we're just reporting it."

18. What did Stan, Kyle, and Kenny try to sell the "college know-it-all hippies?"

From Quiz "South Park" - "Die Hippie, Die"

Answer: magazine subscriptions

The college know-it-all hippies swiftly informed the boys that they were being used as pawns by the "corporations" who were just trying to get rich through other people's labor. The boys were shocked and asked what they could do, and the college know-it-all hippies told them to "hang" with them for a while and they'd "fill [the boys] in on everything [they hadn't] been told."

19. What did the boys use when faking Butters' death?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Marjorine"

Answer: dead pig

Butters stood on the roof of the Bowery Building "threatening to kill himself" while the boys dressed a dead pig in clothing identical to Butters'. Then, just after Butters stepped down from the ledge, giving his parents hope that he'd changed his mind, the boys threw the pig over, splattering blood and guts all over the crowd gathered below. A doctor approached the decimated corpse, tried to take a pulse, and declared, "He didn't make it."

20. What did Cartman see being carried out of his house?

From Quiz "South Park" - "The Death of Eric Cartman"

Answer: the old toilet

After the boys thoroughly ignored him at the bus stop, Cartman feared he was dead and ran home. When he got there, he saw men carrying the old toilet away from the house in a box and thought it was a coffin. His fears were only worsened when he overheard the men saying, "Apparently there was so much chicken skin in the system it just ruptured the insides." To top it all off, he then heard his mother moaning from inside the house, which he assumed was in grief over his passing (though she was really just "thanking" the plumber).

21. Where did "Jambu" tell the boys he was from?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Free Willzyx"

Answer: the moon

"Jambu" told the boys that he was sick because he wasn't "used to the Earth's atmosphere." He said he was from the moon and explained, "that's where all Orca whales are from. If I don't get back to the moon, I'm going to die." When Cartman showed a little skepticism, "Jambu" said wistfully, "I wish I could return and dance in the moon castle with my wife and three children again." When Stan asked Jambu why he didn't just tell the park employees, "Jambu" replied, "I can't tell them, because they're evil communists from the Horsehead Nebula. They want to kill all us zypods, so they keep us in these horrible tanks and make us perform." Kyle immediately went home to organize the neighborhood kids and try to save Willzyx.

22. What was NOT one of the questions Brian asked when giving Stan his free personality test?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Trapped in the Closet"

Answer: Do you like kittens and puppies?

The questions seemed ridiculous and not the least bit insightful, but at the end of the test, Brian told Stan that he was "one messed up kid" and a perfect candidate for Scientology.

23. What did Cartman classify Kyle as in his class presentation?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Ginger Kids"

Answer: daywalker

Cartman had already claimed that gingers had to avoid sunlight just like vampires, and then explained that some people had red hair, but not light skin and freckles. Referencing the vampire lore of the film "Blade", Cartman dubbed these people "daywalkers" and showed a slide of Kyle as a daywalker example.

24. In "Best Friends Forever", Kenny is the first kid in South Park to purchase what video game device...shortly before his death?

From Quiz Mixed "South Park" - Season 9

Answer: Sony PSP

In this episode, Kenny not only waits in line for five days and ends up being the first to get the Sony PSP and "Heaven vs. Hell" video game, but he quickly masters it, inevitably being killed by God and the angels of Heaven to use his skills in the game to defeat the encroaching armies of Satan who, shortly before, have decided to wage war. While Kenny tries his best to fight off the armies, he's revived, albeit with brain damage, and Cartman tries to have the plug pulled to get his PSP. This, of course, sparks a major debate between the kids as to whether or not to end Kenny's life. In the end, he dies and saves Heaven.

25. Which boy is a comedian and participates in the South Park Elementary talent show?

From Quiz "South Park" Season 9 Episodes

Answer: Jimmy

Although Jimmy is handicapped, he still manages to provide hilarious jokes that the rest of the town enjoys. Timmy, who is also handicapped, can only speak his name.

26. Where did Mrs. Garrison "unveil" herself post-operation to the townsfolk?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Mr. Garrison's Fancy New ..."

Answer: supermarket

The townsfolk didn't quite know how to react, but Mrs. Garrison headed straight for the feminine hygiene aisle and started raving to the other women about the selection of products. Then she headed for the ladies' room and announced her excitement about getting to "pee out [her] vagina for the first time." The women in the bathroom were horrified by the sounds coming from Mrs. Garrison's stall and quickly cleared the room.

27. When Mrs. Garrison and her mob went to the Governor requesting a veto, he confessed that he had pursued his position because he wanted what?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Follow That Egg!"

Answer: a big house and lots of respect

The Governor had tears in his eyes from the stress of being lobbied by both the gay-rights activists and the anti-gay marriage group! He resisted taking a stand because he didn't have any scientific studies to back him up, which gave Mrs. Garrison the idea of using her egg assignment to scientifically prove that gay couples can't care for children.

28. As part of his plan to impress Token, Cartman had Kenny call him from the back room. What celebrity did Cartman pretend was on the phone?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Wing"

Answer: Abraham Lincoln

Cartman's plan was to pretend he was talking to "somebody super famous and important" so that Token would be fooled into thinking the agency was "legit." The other boys thought it was a genius idea, but when Kenny called and Cartman pretended it was Abraham Lincoln, Kyle was furious! He pulled Cartman aside and pointed out that Lincoln had been dead for 200 years.

29. When Stan asked his parents if someone was going to help the residents of Beaverton get off their rooftops, what did his parents tell him was actually important?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Two Days Before ..."

Answer: "Figuring out whose fault this is."

Stan, clearly consumed with guilt, looked to his parents for reassurance that someone was going to help the people of Beaverton. His parents were interested in other things, though, and told him, "[Helping those people] is not important right now, son. What's important is figuring out whose fault this is."

30. Cartman interrupted a City Council meeting to warn the adults about the hippies. What were they more interested in talking about?

From Quiz "South Park" - "Die Hippie, Die"

Answer: potholes

He predicted, with an overwhelming air of gravity, that the hippies were gathering for a hippie music festival. The adults weren't interested, telling him they were talking about potholes. Cartman shot back, "It's not potholes you need to worry about. It's potheads. I know what these people are capable of." At that point, the unmoved Mayor ordered one of the councilmembers to get Cartman out of the room.
