Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Whose parent got into a fight in the stands at the baseball game?

Answer: Stan's

Stan's dad initiated a fight with another father after the other guy insulted Stan's pitching abilities. It clearly was not the first time a fight had broken out involving Randy, because when Stan saw, he pinched the bridge of his nose and lamented, "Aw Jesus, not again." Randy was hauled off by cops after the game, drunk and tattered from the scuffle, but still protesting his treatment: "This is for what? Arresting me for what? I'm not allowed to stand up for myself? I thought this was America! Huh? Isn't this America? I'm sorry, I thought this was America!"
2. Training to get into the "best shape of [his] life," what did Randy drink?

Answer: beer

He dressed like Rocky and cracked three eggs into a glass, but instead of drinking them, he poured them into a hot pan and scrambled them. Meanwhile, he cracked open a beer to guzzle down.
3. Did the Fort Collins team refuse to swing at any pitch?

Answer: no

They only held off on swinging at good pitches, planning to get struck out. They did swing whenever they thought it was a ball, though, or else the South Park team would have been able to just walk them around the bases!
4. What language did Randy try to speak at one of the games?

Answer: Spanish

Randy was doing his best to trash talk at the Pueblo team, and brought along a Spanish translation book to help him out. It seemed to work, as one of the Spanish-speaking dads was quickly drawn into fighting him!
5. Who did the South Park kids recruit to play on their team?

Answer: Kyle's cousin

Realizing that the Denver team wasn't going to let them lose, the South Park boys became desperate to avoid winning the game. Cartman realized that they needed to find a player to join the team who couldn't "possibly win." Kyle immediately knew who they had to bring in: Cousin Kyle!
6. Contemplating his potential loss in a fight with Bat Dad, where did Randy go?

Answer: the beach

He started by wandering the stands at Coors Field, and then moved to an idyllic beach for some real reflection. Who knows where he found such a beach in Colorado, though! After thinking, he returned home to tell his wife he wouldn't go to the game.
7. Did Sharon encourage Randy to stand up to Bat Dad?

Answer: no

She told him he had to go to the game, but clearly thought all of his fighting was ridiculous and encouraged him to let go of that and just support his son. Randy couldn't even hear what she was saying, though; he was so caught up in his own sense of defeat!
8. How did South Park's "secret weapon" player fare at bat?

Answer: he hit a home run

Cousin Kyle was sent to bat first and the team had high hopes for his ability to lose. The first pitch scared him and he jumped back, earning one strike. The second pitch was intended as a ball, but because it was further out, he swung and got another strike.

Then, as he stood at the plate with his bat at the ready, the pitcher threw the ball directly to the bat, giving Cousin Kyle a bunt. While the Denver team made no attempt to pick up the ball and get him out, Cousin Kyle ran around the bases and scored a homerun.

It was then that the South Park team realized the Denver team had practiced and gotten "really good at sucking." Sure enough, the Denver team quickly showed that they could not only pitch perfectly to make the other team score, but they could bat themselves out by hitting balls directly into the South Park players' gloves!
9. Did Randy show up at the State Championship game?

Answer: yes

Evidently, he dug deep and found the inner strength to face a great adversary: Bat Dad. He was late but he showed, and quickly engaged Bat Dad in a fight!
10. Did South Park win the game against Denver?

Answer: no

They were about to win but the game was interrupted by Randy and Bat Dad's fight. When the umpire said that teams could be disqualified for their parents' fighting, the South Park boys immediately ran to the fight to rally behind Randy. Bat Dad threw a good punch and laid Randy out, and the umpires warned the men that "the next person that fights is getting his team disqualified!" South Park saw their only chance at a summer without baseball, and talked Randy out of his stupor, back onto his feet, and into pummeling Bat Dad! South Park was instantly disqualified, and as Denver cops led Randy away, Stan yelled to his dad, "You're the greatest!"
