Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. When the girls approached in the playground and tried to use the sleds, Stan said that sleds were for guys. Cartman agreed and suggested the girls do what?

Answer: wash dishes or get pregnant

The girls were lobbing pretty raunchy insults at the boys, which oddly didn't seem to phase the guys. Cartman suggesting they "go wash dishes or get pregnant or something" was the most biting comeback the boys offered! The boys did, however, agree to race the girls down Phil Collins Hill, pitting the four best boy sledders against the four best girls.
2. What "hate crime" did Cartman commit?

Answer: threw a rock at Token

Cartman was fed up because Token kept talking about his "enormously fat [butt]" in regards to the advantage it gave them when sledding. When Cartman threatened to hit Token in the head with a rock if he called him fat one more time, Kyle threw the insult and, thinking it had been Token, Cartman spun around and lobbed the rock at Token's head.
3. On trial for his hate crime, who did Cartman profess to hate?

Answer: hippies

The prosecutor was doing his best to make a case against Cartman, claiming that Cartman hated African-Americans. Cartman was perplexed by the trial and blurted out that he hated hippies: "I hate hippies! I mean, the way they always talk about 'protectin' the earth' and then drive around in cars that get poor gas mileage and wear those stupid bracelets - I hate 'em! I wanna kick 'em in the [crotch]!"
4. After getting sentenced to juvenile hall until the age of 21, Cartman ran out of court and went to Kenny for help. What did Cartman want Kenny to use to help him escape to Mexico?

Answer: toy truck

Cartman and Kenny hopped in the Go-Go Action Bronco Kenny had received the previous year for Christmas and, like OJ Simpson in his white Bronco, tried to outrun the feds. As the news station covered the "chase" by helicopter, the boys led a long line of cop cars down the freeway and through a residential neighborhood.

The cops set up a barricade of cars, but Kenny drove the Go-Go Action Bronco right into the police cruisers, pushing his way through as the cops jumped off to the side. The boys led the cops all the way to the Mexican border, but before they could cross, the Go-Go Action Bronco's batteries ran out and Cartman was taken back into custody.
5. When Cartman arrived at juvenile hall, he found out he'd be rooming with Romper Stomper. What did this juvenile offender have tattooed on his face?

Answer: a teardrop

The other kids in juvie seemed shocked that Cartman would get stuck with Romper Stomper, and Romper Stomper announced that he didn't want a new cellmate. Forced into the situation, Romper Stomper menacingly agreed to show Cartman "the ropes." Romper Stomper had an intimidating appearance, even in the face of Cartman: he stood on yellow pails, had spiked hair and had a teardrop tattoo under one eye.

The tattoo, possibly a reference to the film "Cry Baby", in which Johnny Depp's character gets a similar tattoo, could also have been a reference to the common gang practice of getting one teardrop tattooed for each person you've killed!
6. Romper Stomper told Cartman that he divided the kids of the world based on whether or not they liked what?

Answer: "Animaniacs"

Cartman understood that if he aligned himself wrong, he was going to get beat up or worse, but he wasn't sure if he should claim to like or dislike the show. Ultimately, he professed to dislike "Animaniacs", which turned out to be the right answer, much to Cartman's relief.

He was spared a beating, but hadn't quite insinuated himself into the group, as the other juvenile offenders didn't believe in having friends on the inside. However, Romper Stomper did tell Cartman that if he got him cigarettes, he'd tell him "how to bust out of here."
7. What did Kyle and Stan bring Cartman in prison?

Answer: a cake

Realizing that they couldn't beat the girls at the sledding race without Cartman's extra heft, they baked a cake with a nail file in it so that he could escape from prison. However, Cartman told them he wouldn't be allowed to take the cake back to his cell. All Cartman really cared about were the cigarettes he'd asked the boys to bring him.

After some lecturing on the dangers of smoking, Stan and Kyle slipped the cigarettes through the holes in the visitation room glass. Then Cartman hid the cigarettes in a body cavity so as to sneak them past the guards when they searched him on the way back to his cell.
8. When Kyle, Stan, and Token went to the Governor to argue against hate crime legislation, did they get Cartman pardoned?

Answer: yes

They had a presentation that included visual aides and background music, that explained how hate crime legislation only furthers the segregation by treating crimes differently based on race, gender, and sexuality, rather than seeing all people as equal in the eyes of the law.

The Governor was impressed, saying, "That made the most sense of any presentation I've heard in the last three years."
9. Did Romper Stomper help Cartman escape?

Answer: yes

After Cartman smuggled cigarettes and a Tic Tac Throw game into juvie for Romper Stomper, he found out that the boy had never intended to help him escape. Crushed by the news, Cartman finally broke down in tears, crying for his mom. Romper Stomper, touched by Cartman's relationship with his mother, agreed to help him escape.

In the woods outside prison, Romper Stomper tripped on a rock and fell to the ground. While he and Cartman were parting ways the guards showed up and told Cartman he'd been pardoned!
10. Did the boys win the sled race?

Answer: yes

After a late start, the boys were clearly behind, so Cartman tossed the yellow pails Romper Stomper had given him onto the blades of the girls' sled, throwing them off track and over a cliff! The boys were thrilled with their victory.
