Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What did the kids plan to do at 8:35?

Answer: moon the teacher

They'd found out their new teacher was from Denver, and wanted to "establish" that they were the "dominant ones" in the relationship. Stan suggested that at 8:35 they all jump on their desks and moon the teacher, which everyone agreed to. However, Butters was a bit caught up on the logistics: "Well, buh when we pull our pants down, should we stand frontways or back? I mean, do we show 'er our... behinds, or our w-wieners? [...] Uh-uh, maybe we could stand like this, with our [stuff] pokin' through the back of our legs, you know, and give 'er a nice fruit bowl."
2. In Cartman's memory of third grade, what kind of desks did the kids sit at?

Answer: marshmallow

After just one day with Ms. Choksondik, Cartman was thinking wistfully back to the previous year and sang a saccharine little song to the other kids:
"Remember how it used to be in the third grade?
We used to laugh and play and cherish each day in the third grade.
We learned wondrous things from a teacher so nice,
Sat on marshmallow desks with teddy-bear smiles.
The world seemed to all make sense,
But that sense seems to slowly fade,
After third grade.
In the third grade we used to write with crayons,
We would make sparkly pictures with glitter and glue,
We had warm cookies and hearts full of love,
And there wasn't a care in the world for me... or for you.
There's not a thing in this life that I wouldn't trade just to go back,
For one minute...
To third grade."
3. With what television show were the nerds obsessed?

Answer: Star Trek

They'd modeled their time-traveling design off the show's technology and took the television program very seriously. They even got into a slapping fight later because of a disagreement over how many "original" episodes there had been!
4. Above what speed did Timmy's wheelchair need to stay to avoid detonation?

Answer: 5mph

The nerds had rigged Timmy's wheelchair in the hopes of creating a wormhole. Unfortunately, the science was a bit off, and Timmy was stuck in the dangerous contraption. The nerds had rigged it so that the system would malfunction and blow the chair up if he stopped, and if he got off the chair it would blow up.

The police sent in a SWAT member, by dangling him out of a helicopter, to try to disarm the bomb, but the situation got more complicated when Timmy inadvertently picked up a hitchhiker prone to hysterics!
5. What novel had Mr. Garrison's book been compared to?

Answer: Huckleberry Finn

The other school staff members finally explained to Ms. Choksondik why Mr. Garrison was unreachable:
Chef: "Mr. Garrison had several uuh, emotional issues. He was a closet homosexual who hated gay people. Whenever someone asked him if he was gay, he'd go nuts."
Principal Victoria: "And then he was accused of trying to solicit sex from a young boy."
Mr. Mackey: "After being dismissed from teaching, he went off to write romance novels. His first novel sold well and everything was fine until he found out that his novel won the gay Pulitzer prize, and was considered the best homoerotic novel since 'Huckleberry Finn'."
Principal Victoria: "He finally snapped and had a nervous breakdown and... went up into the mountains to live in solitude."
6. Ms. Choksondik was being followed by what kind of animals?

Answer: kittens

Kittens started wandering up to her, hoping to feed off her giant, low-hanging bosom. At least they provided some good!
7. Was Timmy "back in third grade [...] living it up" as the other boys suspected?

Answer: no

Timmy had actually been transported back to the Mesozoic Era and was struggling to avoid being eaten by a triceratops (which looked a lot harder than it should have been, considering the triceratops was an herbivore)!
8. What phrase did Mr. Garrison teach Ms. Choksondik to use on the kids?

Answer: "Present them."

Mr. Garrison agreed to train Ms. Choksondik to work with the kids and one of the important lessons was how to respond when they told her to "suck" their genitalia. Ms. Choksondik had instinctively threatened them against using bad language, but Mr. Garrison schooled her otherwise: "Look, you can't counter a profane command with an idle threat! You must extinguish it with a vulgar suggestion! When a child says, 'Suck my [genitals],' you say, 'Present them.'" Ms. Choksondik was a quick learner and Mr. Garrison soon took her to The Tree of Insight.
9. What did Mr. Garrison learn in The Tree of Insight?

Answer: he was gay

When Mr. Garrison entered The Tree of Insight he found himself face to face with his "gay self." Talking to this alter ego forced Mr. Garrison to make the realization that he was, in fact, gay! Mr. Garrison then returned triumphantly to the school to ask for his teaching position back, only to hear that South Park Elementary doesn't "hire gay people."
10. When Timmy returned, had his vocabulary increased?

Answer: no

He popped out of the wormhole and the kids were shocked to see him, particularly since he was wearing items from disparate eras in history. Stan observed, "It looks like he's been all over time! He must have such cool stuff to tell us." All Timmy could say in response, though, was "Eh, Timmih!"
