I get the impression that Rygel is not entirely happy with all of these nicknames, as the appearance of a black leather-clad Rygel in the episode "Won't Get Fooled Again" suggests: Rygel is brandishing a whip and promising revenge for a couple of the names Crichton has come up with!

Paper beats rock." D'Argo: "That is unrealistic." John: "That's the rules, and it's not supposed to be realistic. It's supposed to be entertaining." D'Argo: "My coma was more entertaining." Johng: "It's a kids' game."

This is one of my favorite Crichtonisms of all time, and it's from the first episode. Stealing a pulse pistol from one of the Peacekeepers, Crichton tries some classic action movie lines in order to escape. He is probably going to say "fill you full of lead", but has to settle for the more accurate "little yellow bolts of light".

John puts a bomb around Scorpius with the words "Dear John" written on it and sticks him and Sikozu in an airlock. D'Argo informs Braca "Here's the deal: we've attached a bomb to Scorpius and we're leaving. Follow us, and the bomb explodes. Once we've gone, the bomb will shut down. Couldn't be simpler. Don't bother responding. We're not listening." He signs off and John sends Scorpius and Sikozu out the airlock and they use extended starburst to try and beat the Scarrans to the wormhole and destroy it, saving Earth.

At the beginning, when Staleek orders Ahkna away, John says, "See ya later, sweetheart." Later, Ahkna corners John, telling him his bomb doesn't scare her, and he shoots back, "I'm on the brink of devastation Minnie Pearl," making fun of Ahkna's big hat she's always wearing. And lastly, Ahkna tells John she will let him go free, as long as he leaves Scorpius behind. John tells Aeryn afterward, "I think Lady Macbeth is going to find a way to screw us."

John has to fix the timeline so it doesn't become a permanent reality, which would mean he would never do the Farscape project. John tells them, "No dad, no Farscape Project. [D'Argo and Rygel] stay in Peacekeeper custody, [Aeryn] remains a Nazi, and [Chiana] ends up on Nebari Prime."

The Island of Misfit Toys comes from the classic Christmas show "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." Titanic sank from an iceberg, and ending up as an old man referenced "2001: A Space Odyssey" when the main character ends up in a room where he grows old, dies, and gets born again as a baby. "Nanook of the North" is a documentary and Beelzebub is another name for the devil.
