At which point Harvey/John falls down, saying, "Officer Sun, next time be more decisive. Shoot quicker. A soldier must not be weak. Weakness means defeat." With that, Harvey dies and John is back.

Part 1 is titled "Daedalus Demands," and Part 2 is "Icarus Abides." Daedalus was a scientist and engineer who made a labyrinth where the Minotaur was kept, and also made artificial wings for his son Icarus and himself to escape a tower where they were being kept prisoner by King Minos, to prevent Daedalus from spreading word about his knowledge of the labyrinth. Icarus flew too high and the sun melted the wax holding his wings together and he fell into the ocean and died. A parallel for this would be the Ancient Jack as Daedalus giving a gift for John (Icarus), which might kill him if used wrong. That can't be a good...

The planet this time is LoMo. Later the image of two men freeze and John says, "Fe'Tor. Bad guy, dressed in black. Another bad guy. The guy with Fe'Tor. Kabaah is a Hangi John and D'Argo encounter later.

They're between bouts. Give them a few microts."

One of the Johns (there are two of them now!) asks Aeryn if she can tell which one is the original John and which is the copy that Kaarvok made in the last episode, "Eat Me." John's line is, "I know it's not as bad as the last time. It's not the Cro-Magnon copy or the Alien Nation reject, but you can tell I'm the original, right?" She can't. The Alien Nation reject would be one of the versions of him from the episode "My Three Crichtons."

When the pod lands on a dying leviathan, John tells the others they need spare parts to leave, saying, "Burnt, battered, busted. Ding dong, the pod is dead," referencing "The Wizard of Oz." Later, John, worried about being infected by whatever is killing the leviathan, says, "What if we've been exposed to some radiation, or some virus that's gonna mutate us into the Night of the Living Dead?" And the last one is a little trickier as it is not directly referenced, but the music harkens to "Aliens," as well as when the dying Pilot asks John to, "Please... Kill me." A similar scene happens in the "Aliens" film when the marines find a colonist who asks for them to kill her.

Stark, feeling depressed, tells John that Zhaan had bought the clothes he was wearing shortly before she died. John tells him, "You look great. You look like Astro Boy." Astro Boy was a Japanese anime in the 1960's.

Later, when Pilot regains consciousness, he sees Jool and asks who she is, and John tells her, "That's ballast, ignore it." He also calls her a nitwit at one point as well. He calls her Sweet Thing, or "Thang" in "Thanks for Sharing."

John, throwing a ball as the shell shaped hologram console with Pilot on it, tells Pilot to "Hetch it up, baby. Come on, lets go." They are near a planet suitable for Zhaan to recuperate and heal from bringing Aeryn back from the dead.

Harvey tells John, "Death is the only sensible course, John. For everything there is a season, a time to be born, and..." John interrupts with, "A time to die, yes, yes, yes. The Devil quotes scripture." Harvey has done his task and is stuck in John's brain, his only release is John's death, which seems to be his new goal. John's line about the Devil quoting scripture references a line in Shakespeare's "The Merchant of Venice."

Zhaan chides Rygel for his greed while Moya is hurt because of it. Rygel tells her that everyone is picking one or two items from the loot they stole from the Shadow Depository. The rest will be used to pay a healer to help Moya. Zhaan apologizes, saying she misjudged him. Rygel replies with, "It's becoming your career." Poor Rygel, he can't get no respect.

The Zenetan pirates want Moya now that they know that Moya's crew has no money. The next thing you know, everyone's got their guns out when Stark breaks in with his "my side, your side" routine and ranting at them all. Apparently, while getting info on D'Argo's son, Chiana gets the others into a shoot out. John, flying to Moya, says, "Pilot, I'm brining Miss Kitty in from the OK Coral. Is there any word on Aeryn or Doc Rygel yet?" On the TV show "Gunsmoke," Miss Kitty was a madam on the show, which fits Chiana, and there was also a Doc Adams on the show as well, which could be the pun for Rygel. However, it could also just be a reference to Wyatt Earp and the OK Coral, who was friends with Doc Holiday.

Plokavians are infamous weapons dealers who Crais has contacted to disarm Talyn and equip him with non-lethal weapons. Delfarions appear in season three's "Meltdown." Halosians swap the crews' bodies in "Out of Their Minds." Khurtanans are Sebacean like aliens who live in the Tormented Space that appear in season four.

Stark pops up, explaining his absence to the viewers when he tells Zhaan he came back to return the transport pod he borrowed after they left the gammak base way back in "The Hidden Memory." He says he has some important news.

Chiana brings the Vorc on board, telling Aeryn, "Our parasite problems are solved." Aeryn replies, "Rygel's decided to leave us then, has he?" Vorcarian blood trackers are the dog-like species from "'Till the Blood Runs Clear" in season one. The Brindz hound pops up in the first episode of season four, used to hunt down anyone in leviathans. Draks are the bug-like creatures from season one's "Exodus from Genesis."

Jenavian Charto, who before seemed to be merely a gold-digger engaged to Prince Clavor, turns out to be a Disruptor for the Peacekeepers, a group who does covert missions. Her job is to make sure Clavor never becomes Emperor. She also says that she will kill John if he compromises her mission. She only saves John because she thinks he's a Disruptor as well, on a different mission.

While giving John tips on flying in her Prowler, John is distracted by Aeryn's hair, specifically the way it smells. Aeryn tells him Zhaan gave her something and John says he likes it, to which Aeryn says, "Well it's not for you to like." Always playing hard to get, that one.

John is talking with Aeryn when Pilot chimes in on the comms and John says, "Yes, Mr. Bad News?" Pilot only seems to contact everyone when something bad is about to happen... which proves too true this time as well. John used Shellhead in "Crackers Don't Matter," Four Arms was used by Chiana in "Through the Looking Glass," and Transparent Purple Guy was used by John in the very first episode when he saw Pilot as a hologram.

Halosians are bird like creatures who resemble those other Henson puppets called the Skeksis from "The Dark Crystal." The Xarai were Sebacean cannibals trapped on a leviathan in the third season. Grudeks appear in season four scavenging leviathans. Plokavians appear later this season in "The Ugly Truth."
