Answer:
15
The fifteen are yourself, three randomly selected villagers, Pelly, Phyllis, Tortimer, Pete, Tom Nook, Sable, Mable, Blathers, Celeste, Brewster, and Mr. Resetti. "Animal Crossing: Wild World," was the DS version of the popular game "Animal Crossing," in which time takes real place in the game even if you're not there. The game took away some things of the original game but added some new things as well. The things that were taken away were the separation of acres, the town is now continuous. Also Wisp, the ghost who would appear late at night, disappears along with several other animals, such as Jingle the reindeer, who would appear on holidays. Also the island that appeared in "Animal Crossing" disappears. Some factors that were added were the inclusion of exclusive holidays rather than holidays mainly celebrated in the U.S.A. Also the watering can and slingshot were new tools to be added. The watering can was obviously used to water flowers while the slingshot could be used to shoot items out of the sky such as balloons carrying presents, Pete, and even a U.F.O. Also if you go to the museum, Celeste will let you create your own constellations and Brewster will sell you a cup of coffee for 200 Bells. Lyle, the insurance salesman appears to rip you off along with the old character Crazy Redd who now requires you to give a password to enter his tent and charges you 3,000 Bells to join his club to buy anything, including counterfeit paintings. Another new character is Pascal who is a philosophizing otter who will give you ship related merchandise if you hear him out. He may even give you a picture of himself or a golden axe if you give him a scallop, received from Tortimer. Speaking of pictures, if you are nice enough to a resident or if you complete a large trading cycle you can get pictures from animals which will up your points in the HRA (Happy Room Academy) scores. Other old characters such as Gracie, Wendell, Saharah, and Totakeke (K.K. Slider) reappear. This was one of the three games to spur off the Wi-Fi Connection of the DS, which is now available in several DS and Wii games.
